Past:

Years had passed after (y/n) left Konoha that night and Kakashi never stop hoping to see her again. Sometimes, during his mission outside of the village, he will slack off a bit and try to find any clues about the girl's where bouts. However, he found nothing. It's like, she just vanished from the world with any trace left behind.

Meanwhile, in an unknown place, hidden deep in the forest, there's a lair which contains three souls in there. They're getting ready to go out for a journey right now.

"(y/n)-san." The raven young man called.

"What?" She replied without looking at him. She seems very busy with her favorite katana at that moment.

The raven young man moved closer towards her and settled himself beside her. With half whispering voice, he said, "I heard that the Sarutobi Hiruzen-sama, the Sandaime Hokage is dead."

The young woman's eyes widened after hearing that and her hands that were cleaning her blade stopped for a second before continuing what she was doing just now. "I see." She sounded not interested at all.

"Oh, you guys already back! That's pretty fast..." Another man with his shark-looking came towards them both. He walked and stopped in front of the raven guy.

"I just finished my part as well, Kisame. When I'm here, (y/n)-san already here, waiting for us."

"What do you expect from her, Itachi-san... The most wanted criminal but no one knows who she is..." The guy named Kisame stated while staring at the woman. She already put her katana away and lie down to rest her back, crossing her arms behind her back with her legs crossed in the air.

"Any words from Leader?" (y/n) said coldly. Not even bother to look at her companions.

"Not yet..." Kisame said while shook his head in denial.

"Then, it's our day off..." The woman said and grabbed her katana, ready to begin her training session for today. But, she was halted by none other than the Uchiha.

"Wait, (y/n)-san. Do you remember about our task to capture all the bijuu and their Jinchuriki?" Itachi asked her.

"Of course, I do, Itachi. What about it? We have another three more years before we could start on our hunting." (y/n) said and shrugged off from the lair.

She's not interested to participate in any of this. She just wanted to grow stronger and kill a certain man, Hairi. That's her only goal in her life. And of course, to protect a certain man as well.

"Mine will be Kyuubi. I want to look at the Jinchuriki first. What do you say, (y/n)-san?" The ravenette said with his usual cold and emotionless tone.

"Konoha?" (y/n) turned around to face Itachi. She raised her eyebrows as a sign that she's hoping that he was joking. But, looking at his serious face, he's not joking around about this.

She smirked, "How about you, Kisame? Want to tail us to our hometown?" She said, facing Kisame while sheathing her katana back and carried it at her waist.

"It doesn't sound so bad after all. Okay then, we will enjoy our day off at Konoha." Kisame said to the both of his teammates in front of him.

Then, those three criminals start their walk to Konoha. Their lair wasn't very far from that village so, they will arrive there in a very short time.

"I don't think he's here." She said and sat down next to Itachi who was enjoying his favorite dango.

"You're fast as always, (y/n)-san." The shark-man said before sipping his green tea.

"It had nothing to do with my speed. I lived here for years. And I can't detect any huge chakra in this village, so I assume that he's not here." (y/n) told him. She took one of Itachi's dango and ate it without having any sympathy for the Uchiha.

Itachi glared at her with his Sharingan shine so bright in that dimmed shop. But, that didn't scare her. She just continue to do what she likes.

"Hn. Maybe we should go now. Some of the shinobi already sniffed us here." Itachi said while looking behind his back.

(y/n) felt curious with Itachi's act. She turned around and her eyes locked with that dark orb that she missed so much. Her eyes widened but quickly hide her face with the straw hat that the three of them wear to conceal themselves. However, their black cloak with some red clouds as their organization's logo couldn't hide anything.

"We can enjoy knocking some of them down, Itachi-san... How hard it can be, right, (y/n)-san?" The shark-man tried to joke around but the other two just ignore him.

"Let's go, you two. Our business in this village is done." The woman said but she turned her gaze towards Itachi. "He's fine..."

Itachi looked at her and smirked. He knows what she's pointing to. His heart felt so relieved to hear that.

The three of them quickly went out of the shop after (y/n) left the payment on the table. They head straight to the main entrance for their exit however, it doesn't seem that their camouflage will remain forever.

"Not so fast... It's been a long time, huh, (y/n)?" A sudden voice appears to block their way.

(y/n) smirked, only her evil smirk was visible while her upper part of her face was hidden from that straw hat. "Not that long actually... Just 12 years..."

"How about a little more chit chat, old friend!" Asuma said while swinging his chakra blade but (y/n) with her swift movement blocked it with her katana perfectly.

Then, a small brawl happened. Kurenai tried to take Itachi down but she failed badly. It's such a waste to fight the Master of Genjutsu with genjutsu. While Kisame, he took his fight against Asuma. (y/n) just watching their fight like a boss while leaning against the rail behind her. Then, her wait is over.

"I thought you will run away... Hatake Kakashi." She said and turned her head to face the silverette in front of her. The wind blew strongly to add the mood in that fight making (y/n)'s straw hat blown away, revealing her face.

"(y/n)... Why did you left Konoha back then?! And, why AKATSUKI?!" Kakashi screamed madly at her while taking out his kunai.

"I just follow what you said... You said 'fuck off' and yes. I did it... I need to grow stronger in order to kill him. And I can't achieve it in this peaceful village... I need to find him as well..." (y/n) said with her venomous tone.

Kakashi felt so guilty about this. He blames himself about (y/n)'s drastic changes including Itachi as well. He miss guided him during their time as ANBU and he never try to understand (y/n) so well too back then. He faced a lot of things that teaches him more about life, so he already set his goal that he will achieve in his life. He will bring (y/n) back to Konoha, to him.

"Revenge will never lead you to anywhere, (y/n)... You will only find a lot of despair and more and more revenge afterwards. Believe me, I've seen a lot people like that, even I myself have been through that phase as well... Come back to Konoha, (y/n). Let's build new life together. A new start, a new book, a new chapter in your life, in our life." He said, full of concern in his voice.

(y/n) almost melted by his soothing words and she will never let her guards down just like that. No words can affect her with the 'new' her right now. She laughed, snickering Kakashi. "What do you know, Kakashi... You will never how it felt... Your father who you respects so much, kill himself. Not killed by others. You have no one you can carry your hatred to, Kakashi..." She said and started to swing her katana.

Kakashi blocked her attack with his kunai. His eyes still picturing his regrets about this girl in front of him. "Please, (y/n)... Stop doing this. I-I... I-"

(y/n) smirked, "Stop jabbering around, Kakashi..." She said and stabbed the man's left thigh making him fall to his feet. His blood was oozing from the wound but he's still struggling to stand. He quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms.

"(y/n)... Listen to what I want to say."

(y/n) hit his guts with the blunt tip of her katana making him gasped and fell on his knee. The woman send a kick directly to his face making him thrown away into the river beside them.

"Itachi, Kisame, we have no other reason to be here. Let's go, there's no use spending your chakra against these children..." She said while making her way to Itachi. He won against Kurenai easily, same goes with Kisame, he doesn't face any rough time against Asuma as well.

"Aren't we gonna wipe them out first, (y/n)-san?" Kisame asked while resting his big sword, Samehada on his shoulder.

"We don't want to attract any attention. It will be a big trouble if more Shinobi appears to stop us." She said while wiping something that trickling down from her nose. "Tsk." She clicked her tongue when she saw her own blood on her palm.

Itachi saw that situation perfectly with his Sharingan. "I agree with (y/n)-san. Let's go, Kisame."

When the three of them wanted to leave, those three jounin still struggling to stand on their feet to stopped the Akatsuki trio. (y/n) felt so irritated about them right now.

"You will never pass us. Especially you, (y/n)." Kakashi said while wincing in pain. His thigh is still bleeding. "What is your intentions, Akatsuki? Is it, Sasuke, Itachi?" He asked.

"Yondainme's legacy... The Jinchuriki." Itachi answered with his usual cool side.

"That's unfortunate for you guys, he's not here. And he's in the most safest place right now. He's safe in his hands... You will stand no chance against Jiraiya-sama." Kakashi said while holding his bleeding thigh.

(y/n) smirked. "Fine. Wind style: Thousands Blades!" She swings her katana, forming thousands of invisible wind blade that surrounds those jounin.

"Lightning style: Lightning Blade!" Kakashi parried the blades perfectly with his lightning chakra infused kunai to protect his comrades. That's right, lightning is so effective against wind. However, with that amount of wind blades that swarm to them very fast, he can't stand against it very well.

At last, the three of them of them fell down from (y/n)'s attack just now. She walked at the front, "Let's go." She told her order to the other men behind her.

Kakashi quickly grabbed her foot while begging, "Please, (y/n)... Don't go..."

(y/n) suddenly felt dizzy and her nose is bleeding as well. She coughed out blood and quickly gave a signal towards Itachi. Her illness is now consuming her.

"Mangekyo Sharingan: Tsukuyomi!" The Uchiha projects his top tier genjutsu towards the Copy Cat Ninja without any trouble. He also toss a small bottle that contains some pills in it to (y/n).

(y/n) caught it and took 5 pills at the same time before returning her gaze on Kakashi. His grip finally loosen from her feet and she can walk away easily. But again, they were stopped from another guy with his signature green jumpsuit. Might Gai.

"(y/n)... Uchiha Itachi..." He said under his breath.

Kakashi also tried to stand back again while having his eyes on (y/n). He finally known something about her, but is it real? She looks just fine by the way.

"Be careful with his eyes, Gai." Kakashi warned him.

"It's impressive to see that he's still sane from Itachi-san's Tsukuyomi just now. Normal people might have gone crazy within millisecond."Kisame snickered.

"Stop it, you two. We already have our information about the Jinchuriki. Let's move." (y/n) said to the other two.

However, Gai already attacked Kisame which his kick landed perfectly on Kisame's face. Gai is quite strong among the group, his taijutsu skills are comparable with any other shinobi. No one can use taijutsu like him.

Knowing about the strength of Gai, (y/n) quickly summons her summoning animal which is a giant hawk. "Summoning no Jutsu!" She pulled Itachi on top of the hawk with her and grabbed Kisame with the hawk's claw to escape from there.

Still on the air, she jumped from the hawk and use her special jutsu, Wind style: Air Bending that will allow her to fly. She grabbed Kisame and threw him on top of the hawk while eyeing at Konoha one last time. She's still wondering what Kakashi so eager to tell her about. But, she just shook that off from her mind.

She flew up to meet with her comrades.  "So, we're gonna continue to find the Jinchuriki or what?" She asked the raven guy.

"Both of you are pretty exhausted... Don't push yourself too hard, Itachi-san, (y/n)-san." Kisame advised them. Kisame is so caring towards his two companions, knowing that both of them suffers the same body condition, he always told them to take care of themselves very often. He's very kind for a scary-looking guys like him.

"Don't worry about us, Kisame. (y/n)-san, how about you?" Itachi asked her politely. They currently having the same goal which is to protect Konoha from any other dangerous thread from the outside.

"I'm not that weak and fragile, Itachi, Kisame. But, thank you for your concerns. I appreciate that..." She said while smiling at them. She rarely smile but, whenever she smiles, it looks more to a smirk than a sincere smile. "I'm still okay to roll on." She said while chuckling. She still flying on the air to feel the wind caressing her body gently. Soon,she knew that she will never feel this gentle touch from the wind ever again. Of course, her body is slowly rotting away.

"Okay... Let's proceed with our mission then." Kisame said.

"It's not a mission, Kisame. Only information gathering." Itachi corrected his friend.

"Yeah... We're not gonna aim for the Jinchuriki now. Still three years to go..." (y/n) added. She also told her hawk to find the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya in order to find this Jinchuriki.
