Dear Tragic Heartbreak,
My wiser heart no longer aches.

Why?
Because not everyone is like you, always telling me lies.

I've learned to trust again,
Because all people are not like you.

I don't have to be someone I'm not, there isn't an obligation to pretend.
A soul with a pure heart, there are no secrets.. Nothing to hide.

The truth is spoken through my new love's eyes,
Pure, endless love I'm no longer denied.

I am no longer begging for affection,
Or basic attention.

I no longer fly with a snapped wing,
The birds and crickets once again, with a happy tune they sing.

I learned to love deeply, maybe even more.
But a soul goes through challenges in life like heartache because there are things to learn.

I'm not blinded to life itself like before,
Now in true pleasurable love I adorn.

This is my last letter to you because I have no reason to keep you in the back of my mind,
You're gone, and I am more than just fine.

Lastly, I say thank you for making me stronger,
I learned to hold on for a bit longer.

To tell the difference between a liar and a true angel,
To not toss my heart into a deathly fire, or attempt to tame a devil.

Lastly, first heartbreak of mine,
I am joyful in my angel's arms and in peace to tell you the once painful word: goodbye.
