Chapter 1
Dear, Future Lover
When will you make your grand appearance in my life. I have so many adventures planned out for us. So many great things to do. Great places to visit. All I need now is you.

I woke up to my alarm clock and turned around in my bed.
"One day, I'll wake up and someone I love will be laying next to me." I whisper quietly to myself. I know it's clichéd, but I want to be in love. I want to have someone wrap their arms around me and tell me that they'll always be there and whisper sweet nothings in my ear as we cuddle. It's every seventeen year old girls dream. I want it to come true so bad.
"Lucy, hurry up and get down here before you miss the bus!" My mom yells. Until then, I'll have to deal with surviving my senior year of high school. I get dressed and grab a bagel on my out. I take my usual seat on the bus and stare out the window.
"BOO!" I jump to find my friend Jordan behind me laughing his ass off.
"I got you good." He says. I laugh and roll my eyes.
"If you're not careful you might get punched. I've been taking taekwondo." I tell him jokingly. Jordan has been my best friend since first grade and he's always been a goofball. We spend the rest of the bus ride talking about all the drama that Jordan had heard about. When we get to school, he runs off to catch one of his friends and leaves me alone to walk to my homeroom. I was fixing my ponytail when someone bumped into me, bringing us both to the ground.
"I'm really sorry. Are you okay?" The person said worried.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I look up to see the prettiest girl I'd ever seen. Now, I'm not lesbian. In fact, I've never felt any sort of attraction to a girl, but she was so pretty. She had shoulder length brown hair that was slightly curled at the tips. She was slender and looked like an athlete. Time seemed to slow down as she got up and dusted herself off. She reached a hand out to me and I realized I looked like an idiot sitting on the ground with my mouth open like a fish. She helped me up and I couldn't stop staring into those beautiful, deep, dark eyes.
"Um, thanks." I manage to get out. She smiles.
"You're welcome. I better get going and again, sorry." I watched as she walked away. Mesmerized by the way her hair bounced and her hips swayed. For the rest of the day, she was all I could think about. I doodled her in my notebook and thought about what it would be like to hug her.
"Whats up with you today?" My mom asked when I walk into the kitchen giggling and smiling like an idiot.
"I've been struck by lightning."
