Zachary Walton POV

"Are you ready to meet your daughter Mr Walton?"

"Take me to her".

Elise held my hand in hers as she guided me out of the living room and to a circular staircase. The railing was made of wood complimenting the wooden floor and giving a feeling of warmth to the place. It was obvious her mother loved plants and flowers. As we walked to the staircase, I could see a beautiful vase on a round glass table that was in the center of the foyer. I hadn't noticed it when I first came inside the house, I hadn't noticed how big it was. I could see flowers at every corner, even on every landing of the stairs there were sets of green plants. It gave a sense of calmness around the house. I liked it.

I was so engrossed with the plants that I hadn't noticed we stopped in front of a white door. There was a name made of wood on it "Helena" I whispered touching the soft pink texture. "Her name is beautiful".

Elise held my hand and smiled "Are you ready? She must be asleep but..."

"Yes" I lied. I wasn't ready at all, I was panicking, what if I wasn't a good g=father to her? What if she didn't like me? A lot of what ifs were going through my mind when Elise gently pushed the door opened revealing our daughter's room.

It was beautifully decorated, the walls were all a light shade of grey, the curtains were a light pink and the furniture was all white. There a comfy grey couch in the corner with two star shaped pillows, white and pink. I smiled as I noticed the wall behind the cradle was full of white stars in different sizes, as if it was a starry night. The room was full of elephant plush in every corner reminding me how much Elise loved elephants.

I looked at Elise asking for permission to go in and closer to the cradle. My heart was beating fast, and I was nervous, I've never felt like that my whole life, but then again, I was never told I was a father before. Elise nodded with a smile playing on her lips and I walked further in, slowly. I reached her bed and saw the most beautiful baby girl on earth. My baby girl, my Helena. I smiled as tears pricked in my eyes blurring my sight, but I could still see her clearly. She was wearing a floral white romper with a matching headband. She looked like an angel sleeping, she looked at peace. The cover was pushed aside and I could see the curtain flying lightly as the window was slightly opened. I was worried she might catch a cold and quickly covered her up. But the sudden movement woke her up and the most amazing thing happened. She opened her eyes and stared at me. She opened her beautiful green eyes. And she smiled. My heart dropped and I couldn't contain the tears anymore.

Elise joined me as she noticed Helena woke up. "Do you want to... hold her?" she asked me softly and I nodded.

"Well hello there little princess, guess who is here? It'd daddy, yes it is" Helena cooed and smiled again. Elise picked her up pecked her cheek and was about to give her to me when I shook my head.

"What if I drop her? What if I squeeze her to much, she's so small I don't want to hurt her"

Elise giggled and motioned me to the couch "Go sit on the couch, I'll give her to you there. And there is no way you'd drop her there"

Nodding, but still unsure, I made my way to the couch and held out my arms as Elise gave me our daughter. I held her close to my heart and nuzzled her nose "hi, I'm Zachary, and I'm your dad." I smiled as she held my thumb "I promise you to always protect you. I won't let anything happen to you."

Elise Collins POV

I woke up to the sound of chirping birds, but was too tired to open my eyes. It was when I heard Helena's cooing that I woke up alarmed, why is Helena in my bed? I sat up and my heart instantly warmed up at the sight in front of me. Zach was perched over the bed where our baby was and he was making all kind of faces. And she was smiling at him, and giggling too. I stretched in bed and let out a content sigh.

"Good morning handsome"

He looked up at me and gave me the most dazzling smile "Good morning baby" he leaned over to me and pecked my lips.

He was only wearing pants, his shirt was thrown somewhere on the floor. I thought about last night as I watched the most important people in my life. We spent an hour in Helena's room; he gave her the baby bottle of milk and kept talking to her while I watched from afar. I knew he needed that time with her. I kept on going out of the bedroom and coming back in, not wanting to leave them for too long. They were everything to me. When she finally went back to sleep I dragged him to my bedroom ignoring his protests, he wanted to sleep in there with her. But I had other plans for him in mind.

I felt my cheeks burn as I remembered the way he kissed me, saying he wanted us to make another baby, the words he whispered to me, the promise of making me sore... I winced as I tried to get out of bed.

"You really kept your promise on making me sore again, like our first night together" I blushed brushing a strand of hair away from my face.

He chuckled sexily and winked at me "And I promise you to always make you sore"

"Oh no, don't you dare" I laughed a little and was about to go into the bathroom when my door briskly opened showing a very worried Alara. She looked alarmed as her eyes met mine.

"Helena... did he take her? She's not in her room, if he took her I swear to god I'll castrate him!"

"Mama!" I laughed shaking my head "Why would he take her, calm down" I moved away so she could see a very stunned, very threatened Zachary holding his daughter.

"Mrs. Collins" he bit his lip "I would never take her away from her mother. Never".

My mom let out a sigh of relief and then blushed hard when she realized what she said in front of him. She cleared her throat and went to take Helena from him. "It's time for her bath. Breakfast will be ready in half an hour" she left the room hurriedly.

We both looked at each other and burst in laughter "I think she likes you"

"Yeah to the point of castrating me" he chuckled and took out his phone "Is it okay if I call the hotel? Have them bring my things over? I don't want to leave you two."

"Yes, you do that, and I'll jump into the shower. You should wait for them to bring your luggage downstairs so you hear them when they knock."

He closed the distance between us and kissed me hard "And I was planning on taking a shower with you"

"Unless you want to spend the day naked..."

Zach chuckled and kissed me one more time before pulling away "maybe later. We have time." He winked and put on his shirt before walking out of the room.

"Oh my, he's so hot" I sighed and made my way to the bathroom with a stupid smile plastered on my face.

More than half an hour later, I went downstairs following the smell of pancakes and fried eggs and bacon. Reaching the kitchen I found it empty. I frowned thinking where they might be when I heard Zachary's laugh and felt my heart leap. I looked out the kitchen window and saw them having breakfast outside. Helena was in Zach's arms as he ate. He looked happy, and younger.

"You started breakfast without me" I said accusingly as soon as I joined them in the back garden. "You're clean" I said raising an eyebrow.

"Your mom let me use the guest bathroom" he grinned "And we started because you always take too long when you shower"

"Oh yes she does. She always tell me she'll only be 10 minutes, but never comes out before at least 40 minutes" they both laughed.

"So... Amelia has a show next week" he said looking at me and I nodded. Aria had already told me. She was coming with Amelia. "I thought I'll stay here until then. Will you go with me?"

"I..." I paused not sure how to say this "I have to go back to Athens in two days. I only came to check on mom and Helena"

He looked confused "You're not with Helena all the time?"

My mom excused herself, took Helena and went inside giving us some space.

"I do, but when I have big projects and need to go out a lot I bring her here. I can't leave her with anyone. I can't trust anyone with my daughter"

"Then why work? It's not like you need to..."

"Zach, I work because I love it and I'm good at it." I said firmly.

"But you have other responsibilities now. You have a daughter who needs you, you can't just leave her. How long do you stay away from her?"

"It depends, but not longer than a week."

"I'm sorry Elise. I can't agree to that".

I said nothing I poured myself some coffee contemplating our 'disagreement'. He hadn't been in my life for a year now and he only came back yesterday and was already judging my choices and wanted to interfere in them. I didn't know how to feel about that.

"Elise" he whispered reaching for my hand. I knew he felt bad for the way he talked to me. I could see it in his eyes.

"Don't worry about it Zachary. I'm sure we'll find common ground."

"Come back with me"

I looked up at him with surprise "You mean... you want me to go back to New York with you? Like... live with you? In the same house?"

He smiled softly and nodded "Yes. I want you and Helena to be with me. As I said last night, I'm back for good and I'm not letting you out of my sight. If I could leave the company and stay here with you I would. But we both know I can't leave what I worked hard for. You being a designer, a well known designer now, makes it easier for you to move. You won't lose anything as you already have a name in the market."

I knew he was right. I could start over wherever I was, and I missed New York anyway. I missed being with him as well. I also missed my house, but I had sold it. Maybe I'll look for something similar.

"What are you thinking?"

"I sold my house. I loved that house. I want you to find something similar to it, so our daughter can play around in the garden when she's older, so she can dance in the dance studio when she feels like it, and so she can paint in the art studio when she wants to"

"Does that mean you're coming back with me?"

I grinned nodding excitedly "Of course I'm coming back with you. I just got you back, I'm not losing you again"

In a swift movement he pulled me to him claiming my lips "I love you so damn much Elise Collins"

"And I love you so much more Zachary Walton" I smiled against his lips and kissed him again.

We pulled away when we saw my mother coming back smiling hugely and looking happy "You kids worked things out?"

"Yes mama. We're going back to New York together"

"Oh finally, I miss your dad so much. I'll go back as well. There's no point in staying here if you're all out there".

I nodded in agreement "But first Zach will have to find us a house like the one I owned"

He chuckled before taking a sip of his coffee. "That's easy, don't worry about it"

"But what about the project you're working on Elise?"

"I'll finish it. We have one week I can do that, plus I have people working with me which will make it easier than the time I finished his hotel"

"About that, you did an amazing job. It came out amazing"

"Aria showed me pictures, it really came out good".

"Who's talking behind my back I heard my name" Aria came in and kissed my mom's cheek before coming over and hugging me "I missed you" she said before grinning at Zachary "You found your lost love... or loves should I say" she said gesturing to Helena who was now laying on a mat on the grass.

"Speak of the devil" I grinned "I missed you two."

She took a seat and poured herself a cup of coffee "My flight was awful, but now that I saw you all having a family breakfast it's all forgotten" she grinned "Amelia and Mrs. Walton came with me, but they are staying in a hotel nearby, do you think we should invite them over so they could meet our little angel?"

"Yes, give her a call" I said excitedly. I liked Amelia, and I knew she would be very happy to see Helena. And Ella Walton was something else. She scared the hell out of Zachary, but deep down she was a great woman who only had good thoughts for her children. I glanced at Zach who was typing on his phone oblivious to the whole conversation going on around him.

Aria called Amelia and as soon as she picked up "Hey A, you good?" she smiled at something Amelia said "Look I'll text you an address. Meet me there I have a surprise for you, oh and bring your mom too."
