•Chapter Two• Ainslie's Story
I had never been like the girls around me. Sure, I loved dressing up in ridiculously high heels, and wearing dresses like a goddess, but I never had interest in stereotypically 'girlie' things. Honestly, I prefer swords over dolls. Weird, sure, but I absolutely loved them. Even when I was young I enjoyed wielding a sword.
When I was ten, I saw a knife and decided to play a game with my older brother. Let's just say it ended with my brother getting a stab wound on his leg, and me getting in serious trouble. Good memories.
Now, I was walking over to school, a backpack slung over my shoulder. When I got to the bus stop, I saw my two best friends in the world. James and June. They were twins, and both had blonde hair, and dark green eyes. I happily waved at them, and June ran over to engulf me in a hug. I laughed and hugged her back, then went over to hug James. James grinned and returned the hug.
"What's going on with my two favorite twins this morning?" I ask with a grin.
"Life! Oh- I want to show you something!" James claimed, before June could say anything. June glared at him and stepped in front of him.
"Or, you could come with me instead!" She yelled, pushing his face away.
I laughed, contemplating whether it was worth it to skip school. I decided it was fine, and was now faced with a decision. Whether to go with James or June.
If you choose James, go to chapter 10.
If you choose June, go to chapter 8.
