I quickly decide to abandon the kid, and run over to the man gesturing to me. The kid squinted her eyes, and wiped the blue blood from the monster onto he skirt. I shuddered and picked up the pace. The man smirked, looking me over.

"Good choice, kid. Do you know what's happening?" He asked, his voice smooth- too smooth. I shook my head, looking back to where the kid was. All that was left was the monster corpse and some blood.

"You're special, you know that. I'm here to show you how to tap into your potential, so to speak." I raise my eyebrow.
