I stared at James like he was insane, then walked away. "No way am I doing this!" I said, causing him to frown and walk after me.

"But Ains! C'mon! I signed you up!" He complained, grabbing my arm. I shook his arm off and rolled my eyes.

"I don't care, James, go fight yourself if you're that desperate." I blew him off, walking away towards our previous meeting place. James sighed deeply and dramitically, but I ignored him.

He didn't follow me, and I was prepared, and fine with that. What I wasn't prepared for was when I saw June. Sweet, talkative, carefree June, snapping the neck of a weird creature. A creature that looked like a cross between a cat, dog, and human, and she was snapping it's neck brutally.

Awesome.

As I stood, frozen, she looked over at me.

"I thought you were going with James," She stated icily, wiping the blue blood that stained her fingers, the blood that was coming from the creature's neck.

I couldn't form words, and she stalked closer. "You need to follow me." Still, I stood, frozen, looking at the blue liquid dripping from her fingers.

"Earth to idiot, we gotta get going. C'mon." She motioned for me to follow her, but I could see a way to get away from this terrifying friend of mine.

I was faced with a decision. I could either try to get far away from June, or go with her.
