•Chapter Seven• Hang Out With the Baseball Team (Brooklyn)
I decide to go hang out with the baseball team guys, because why not? When I get there, we all high five and start talking. As we're talking about sports, and other people, we pass by the lake. It's not a huge lake, but it's still a nice place to swim every so often. I think I see a flash of silver in the lake, but decide it's nothing, or maybe just a piece of trash or fancy fish. When it catches my eye a second time, I decide it might be time to investigate. I stop to look at what it could be, and the guys all look at me.
"What's wrong?" Jacob, the pitcher, asks me.
"I think I see something in the lake..." I took a small step towards it, and Aaron, the firstbaseman, grabbed my shoulder lightly.
"It's your imagination, c'mon, we're going to be late. If I get another absence, I may get kicked off the team. The same goes for you." I bite my lip and shrug him off.
I was now faced with a decision. Should I go to school with the guys, or go investigate what's going on?
If you choose go to school, go to chapter seventeen.
If you choose to investigate, go to chapter twenty-five.
