For once, June's plans are looking pretty good! I run over to the alleyway she pointed at, trying to keep my footsteps light. She follows, quieter than me.

"I need you to listen to me, okay?" She asks, staring at me intensely. I'm confused as to what she needed to tell me. I nod, and she takes that as her cue to continue.

"I'm going to go get that thing away from us, you need to run to the end of this alley, and knock on the door quickly three times, slowly once, and finish by kicking the door. Got that?" I'll admit I was confused, but I nodded. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to leave June alone, but she seemed confident that she could handle it.

She smiled, hugged me quickly, then raced off.

I ran quickly to the end of the dark alleyway, which took longer than expected. I got to the door, a dark grey one that blended in with the bricks around it. I sucked in a breath, raising my fist.

I was now faced with a decision. Do I go through the door, and see what June was leading me to, or do I go back and make sure she's okay?
