So around a week ago, I received a piece from my band teacher that's a Level V Solo. And I was all WUUUT cuz omg all the slurs and the complexities and the multiple variants and the partials and just OVERWELMINGNESS.

(Just so you know I'm talking about a tuba solo because #LowBrassLYFE)

So my confidence was not that high.

As you'd probably expect.

But anyway, for the past 5 school days (not counting today) I've been looking at it and trying to do the fingerings to go along and schtuff, and two days ago, I thought, 'Why not listen to a recording on YouTube?"

Yeah, I had WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less confidence after listening to it.

I kept on thinking I wasn't good enough and I shouldn't try, I even considered quitting because I was so discouraged. But I luv music, so I hope that never happens XD.

Anyways, this morning, I watched Nate latest video about his music videos. What he said, really spoke to me. I could so relate, because it was happening to me at the time.

He inspired me to not quit, but to try harder. So I am.

Throughout all of lunch period today I practiced the Cadenza over and over. I got actually decent. (The Cadenza is the beginning part that doesn't have a specific number of measures or time length, or at least that's what I'm told lol)

Long story short, my confidence is restored, and its all thanks to Nate. Wish I could think him somehow, but Idk.

I guess if you see this, Thank you so much Nate, for being yourself because you are so amazing. You make me want to better my musical abilities in hopes that I will one day be as good as you are with guitar, well, with my tuba. Not sure if I worded that right, but whatever. XD.

Also, thank all of YOU. For reading my daily random shiz and my so-so stories. I've met alot of friends too. My life has changed because of wattpad, for the better of course. And I don't plan on leaving, well... ever. :)
