Melody Mason

Melody's POV

Hello you stalkers reading my thoughts! ((Idk)) For your information, my name is Melody Mason, and yes, I am a singer. Weird, yet so freaking awesome and ironic, so you judgey peoples out there, I don't care if it's weird, it's weird that you care.

Anyways, my thoughts will now tell you the story of how I met Percabeth!

See, Annabeth Chase was my roomie at Callistane College. It was a boarding school in California, and Annabeth and I were both counting the days until we could ditch this hellhole. Both of us had only enrolled for one year, and were both planning on leaving ASAP.

Anyway, it was on Annabeth's 15th birthday, on which I had given her a charm for the necklace she always wore. I knew it was a special symbol of some camp she went to, but I also knew that although we weren't BFF's, I still wanted her to remember me next year. The charm was a small treble clef, encrusted with small, yet real, diamonds, and in the back read, 'Melody and Annabeth.'

If you haven't guessed, I'm rich. Now some people would expect a down-to-earth, fashion hating girl like me to state something like, 'I hate being rich! Too many clothes and parents forcing me into expensive dresses 'cause they can!'

I may be a down-to-earth, fashion hater, but everyone loves cash. Sure mum forces me into dresses occasionally, but I refuse and besides, totally worth it for an awesome house *cough* mansion *cough*. Not to brag, but yeah, I love in a freaking mansion! Also, an awesome pool, unlimited basically everything, and having the luxury of being able to chill 'cause I have no need to study when I have 33.5 million dollar savings in the bank for when I turn 21.

Call me a rich, spoilt brat if you want. I don't care, it's what I am, except maybe the brat part. Yeah, cut that out. Anyway, I am rich and spoilt. Deal with it. It's not like it's my fault my parents are rich! And I am generous with the money I have, if I do say so myself. I have donated thousands of dollars to foundations, school rebuilds and the homeless.

I am getting so off track. So anyway, it was Annabeth's birthday, and after an amazing day that we totally did not ditch class.... Okay we did. Anyone who knows Annabeth knows that's out of character for her, but she was in a good mood, for some reason, and I also bribed her with the Hunger Games, Divergent, Harry Potter, Mortal Instruments, Hush Hush, Beautiful Creatures, Maze Runner, Books of Beginning, 5th Wave, Infernal Devices, Throne of Glass, Iron Fey, I am number four, Selection, Pretty Little Liars, Graceling, Shatter me, and I think you totally get the point by now. Anyway, I said I'd buy her all those books, ((A/N find me this girl. She is my new BFF).

However, skipped was a normal phenomenon for me. I had no care about grades, and if my parents grounded me... Well, I literally never leave my house anyway, no need, so forcing me to stay at home is like sending me to heaven. Forcing me to socialise is a different story. Or turning off the Wifi. But no parents are that cruel. I lime the outdoors, but our house has outdoors. And I'm a fangirl. Now back to the story,

So we had an awesome day, ate cake, did cool birthday stuff. When we made it back to our room, Annabeth began blushing ever so slightly, and told me that she had a friend who was visiting tonight and would I mind.

I told her it was fine, but was still slightly suspicious. He could be a crazy murderer, and Annabeth could secretly be in a gang or something. What!? I mean, I like Annabeth, but geez, possibilities. If it is a case like that, the victim is never usually suspicious. I'm kidding, guys! Kinda...

So it was nearing 10pm when I heard a knock at the door. ((A/N slightly similar to Lia Moore, but I write what I want, so deal with it.)) Annabeth jumped up and sped to the door at lightning pace. Seriously, she could've broken U-somebody-famous Bolt's with that run.

She opened the door quickly yet quietly, revealing a boy, a pretty damn ((A/N DAM!)) sexay one at that. He stepped in and shut the door behind him as Annabeth hugged him in a tight embrace. "Seaweed Brain! You came!"

"Duh, Wise Girl, I said I would!" He said with a pout, hugging her back with as much force.

I, however, was lying in my bed, stomach down, idly flipping pages of my magazine whilst watching the scene with a smirk playing about my lips. "Who's the hottie, Beth," I said, merely stating a fact with the bonus of knowing she was crushing on him baaaaaaad.

She looked furious at the word 'hottie,' and Percy just looked confused. "This is my best friend, Percy Jackson. Percy, my roommate Melody Mason."

Percy smiled at me. "You're the one who managed to get Annabeth to ditch?"

"The one and only. I consider it my greatest achievement in life."

He laughed, and Percy, Annabeth and I chatted until about midnight, when Percy claimed he had to go, his curfew from his mother being 12:30. (Nice mum, right?)

He was about to leave, when we all heard the familiar sound of Miss Perfect making her rounds. And she'd heard our voices. At Callistane, you don't walk in to the room if you hear voices after the lights are supposed to be out. Well you do, except the rounds recently were done by an older student named Tracy Mason. Yep, my older sister. Who hated me. So for me, and Annabeth, she just locked our door, making us in the morning unable to get to class on time. We had to climb out of the freaking window!

So yeah, basically Percy was locked in. Of course, he could climb out the window... Except it jammed yesterday when Annabeth and I used it.

"Well, Percy, looks like you're spending the night!" I said.

"Looks like it," he said with a sigh, sending a text if explanation to his mum, Sally.

I grinned at Annabeth, who was looking around the small room for a place for Percy to sleep.

"I can take the floor?" Percy offered, looking at the uncomfortable looking floorboard that had no carpet or blankets whatsoever. And we had no spare blankets.

"No, no, Perce," Annabeth said.

"Well, Annabeth. I would smack anyone who slept near me in the face, because I take up the whole bed. Looks like Percy's sharing with you!" I grinned at her as both of them blushed. (We have double beds)

Annabeth climbed into bed and scooted over, making room for Percy. He hesitantly climbed in, keeping to his side of the bed whilst Annabeth kept to hers. I grinned at the soon-to-be couple, as I drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up, the pair were snuggled together, arms wrapped around each other. In my head, I awwwwwed, happily. They were so cute! And so in love. And wrapped so close to each other that you could almost think of them as one. So I bet you can imagine the teachers reaction when she unlocked the door and found them like that. *cringe* Not pretty, I can tell you.

I must say, I was very happy to be invited to there wedding six years later.
