After everyone parted ways Danny and Toxin looked around the city seeing if they could find any clues as to where Prior might have gone. Their search was interrupted when they got a text from Richard asking them to come to the mountain. As much as they didn't want to they didn't want to just ignore them, and they actually felt okay right now.

If they were going to go see the heroes now was the time, so they headed to the mountain and this time no one was waiting for them. They walked in and Phantom saw the team and Batman there, "Let's make this quick what do you want?"

Batman sighed and answered, "I want to know what you plan on doing now, you know who the murderer is so what are you going to do?"

"Well despite your opinions of us we won't let Prior hurt anyone else, we will find him, and we will stop him even if it kills us. But he is our problem, and we have the best chance of stopping him on our own, none of you know how to fight a Symbiote."

Aqualad spoke, "But you can not beat him on your own."

"And you think you can do anything to help? Toxin beat all of you, on his own, I didn't have to do anything, you didn't even see half of what Toxin can do. If you fight Prior he will beat you, and he will probably kill you, your best bet is staying out of our way and letting us deal with him."

Miss Martian spoke, "And what if you do die?"

"You don't know either of us so let me tell you something you didn't know, I have died before, literally. Toxin has fought almost every day of his life to stay alive, and we have both been through more shit then you know. And if we're going to die we'll die how we want to, and if this is how we go out it's definitely not the worst way to go."

The heroes looked like they wanted to keep arguing but Robin just walked over to Phantom and hugged him. Phantom was surprised but he hugged him back, Robin could feel him shaking a little. Phantom wouldn't openly admit it but he was terrified, his life was finally getting better and he was about to fight someone that could kill him.

He didn't want to die, he was scared, but if he didn't go out and do this a lot of people could die. It was silent for a minute before Toxin spoke, 'I am scared too, but if I do die there is no one else I'd rather die with. I will stay with you, I do not want to leave you and survive if you do not, it may not make you feel better, but I would gladly die with you.'

Phantom took a breath and smiled just a little, "Same here buddy, I'm not leaving, we're partners."

'To the end then.'

"Yeah, no matter what."

The heroes were quiet, Artemis and Batgirl had sad smiles on their faces and Batman stared at Robin. He'd never seen him like this, Robin had dated one or two people before but he'd never been like this with any of them. He looked like he didn't want to let Phantom go, even if there weren't a possibility of Phantom dying he didn't think Robin would want to let him go.

His thoughts were interrupted when there was a beeping noise and then a holo-screen came up and Superman was on the screen. He didn't even wait to talk, "We need backup now, there's a creature attacking in downtown Gotham, send backup immediately."

They saw Wonder Woman get thrown at Superman and when she hit him the call ended, Phantom immediately broke away from Robin and left, Robin followed him, then Artemis and Batgirl, and the rest of them went after them. The zeta tube was already downtown so they got to the location as quickly as they could.

Prior was attacking several members of the Justice League as people ran away, Phantom was about to run in when Robin grabbed his hand. "I need you to promise me you'll try to come back to me, please."

Phantom stopped and held Robins hand tightly, "I always do, but if we don't, you are the best thing that has happened to me in a long time, I love you."

Robin stared in shock, then Prior roared before grabbing Black Canary and she was struggling to get away, it looked like Prior was choking her and Phantom ran over. Toxin took over and clawed Prior's arm, he screeched and let Black Canary go, Toxin caught her and got away from Prior before setting her down.

"Get everyone out of here, do not get in the way."

Flash looked at him, "Kid you need to get out of here."

Batman spoke from behind them, "Do what they say, they're our best chance at stopping Prior."

Aquaman looked at him, "You know that creature?"

Batman was about to respond when Prior attacked and Toxin dodged and clawed at his chest before Phantom took over and punched him in the face sending him flying. Toxin took over again and Prior quickly got up and he glared at Toxin before roaring in pure rage. Toxin growled and his face split revealing his mouth full of fangs none of them knew he had and he roared back.

Prior ran at them and Toxin ran at him as well, at the last second Phantom took over and dodged Prior's attack. He blasted him in the back and Prior screeched before tendrils shot out of his back and Toxin took over and got out of the way just in time. Batman looked at the other heroes, "Get the civilians out of harms way and keep them away, let Phantom and Toxin handle Prior."

The young heroes immediately jumped into action, the Leaguers stood there for a few second before Batman gave them a stern look, "That wasn't a suggestion."

The Leaguers snapped out of it and went to help the team, Batman took one last look at Phantom and Toxin fighting Prior before going to help too. Prior grabbed Phantom and threw him on the ground, it knocked the wind out of Phantom's lungs and Prior stomped on his chest, he could hear some of his ribs break and Prior had a sinister smile on his face.

Phantom smirked before phasing through the ground and Prior looked surprised as he looked around trying to find them. The Phantom flew up behind him and kicked him in the back, Prior face planted into the ground and Toxin took over as they backed up. Prior was pissed his tendrils attacked them faster then they had just a minute ago and they cut them deeply.

One came at their head and Toxin moved just in time, then he bit it and it tore off and Prior screeched, Toxin swallowed the piece of Prior and growled. "You're not surviving this time Prior."

Prior growled back, "My thoughts exactly you pathetic worm."

Phantom immediately got pissed, 'He's going down.'

Toxin nodded, then he attacked Prior and the other Symbiote attacked them too Toxin clawed at Prior and he got out of the way before punching them in the chest. They hit the ground hard and it stunned them for a few seconds, then Prior picked them up and slammed them into the ground over and over.

Phantom could barely think, every time his body started to recover from the hit he'd hit the ground again. Toxin could barely think either, but he let Phantom take over and in the split second they had he blasted him in the face. Prior screeched in pain and it gave Phantom time to get up, he punched Prior in the face over and over knocking his teeth out as he did.

Then he blasted him back and Prior screeched before he hit the ground, Phantom was breathing hard taking what little time he could to regain his senses. Then Toxin took over and got ready to keep fighting, all of a sudden Prior was right in front of them and they barely got out of the way. But they didn't get away from Prior's tendrils in time, they cut them up again and Toxin pushed through them and got on Prior's back.

He clawed at his back before trying to pull him off his host, Prior grabbed them and threw them off before they could separate them. Prior roared before shooting spikes from his tendrils and they barely moved out of the way, then Prior grabbed them and started to crush them, Toxin screeched in pain before spikes came out of his body.

Prior let them go screeching in pain from getting impaled and Toxin attacked while he did, but Prior recovered quicker then they expected and grabbed their neck. He grabbed Toxin and slowly pulled him off as Toxin screeched and Phantom screamed in pain. Once Toxin was separated from him Prior threw Phantom and he felt blood in his mouth.

He spit it out and forced himself to get up, he saw Prior open his mouth as Toxin struggled to get away. Phantom saw red, he flew at him as fast as he could and punched him harder then he'd ever punched anyone as he grabbed Toxin. Prior hit the ground and kept going hitting it several more timed before stopping himself by digging his claws into the pavement.

Toxin quickly attacked to Phantom again and took over, Prior looked pissed, more pissed then Toxin had ever seen him and he roared. It was almost deafening and literally shook them, then he attacked them again and they dodged it but Prior reacted quickly, he grabbed their leg with his tendril and slammed them into the ground again.

As they tried to regain their senses on the ground Prior's arm turned into a blade and stabbed them through the chest. Toxin screeched louder then he ever had from the pain, then Prior's tendrils stabbed them too and Toxin actually threw up Phantom's blood. They felt weak and tried to lift their arm but their strength left them and it fell again.

Prior laughed loudly and Robin looked over, he saw Toxin lying on the ground as green blood pooled beneath him and he shouted, "No!"

The tried to run to them but Kid Flash ran over and grabbed him, Robin struggled to get away but Artemis and Barbara helped hold him back. Prior looked at him and smiled evilly before taking his arm and tendrils away, Toxin coughed up more blood and Prior started walking over to the young heroes.

Toxin's vision was blurry but Phantom could see Prior making his way over through his eyes, he was in a lot of pain, and he could barely breath. He watched Prior throw off the older heroes and keep walking toward Robin and the others, Phantom tried to get up but his strength failed again. Prior was getting closer and Robin was still trying to get to them, then Prior ran at them and grabbed Robin.

He threw him on the ground and something in Phantom completely snapped, Phantom flew over before he could even think and punched Prior in the face. It was weaker then before but it threw him back a little, Prior got up and Phantom didn't give him time to react, he punched him over and over before uppercutting his jaw and he flew into the air.

Phantom flew up after him and punched him again sending him back down to the ground, he hit the ground in the middle of a gasoline factory. Phantom landed on the ground a distance away from him and Prior slowly got up, then he growled, "I will kill you, you're nothing but a weak human."

Phantom could feel himself losing a lot of blood, he was barely standing as it was, but he couldn't let this guy win. "Actually, I'm not human, I'm a half ghost half human hybrid, and my partner and I are taking you down."

Prior growled before roaring at him, then he attacked and Toxin took over, he barely dodged before Phantom took over and blasted him. Prior screeched and Phantom tried to catch his breath, Prior growled and quickly grabbed him and slammed him into the ground. Phantom blasted him again to get him off and Phantom looked at one of the tanks filled with gasoline.

He hesitated and Toxin shouted, 'Do it!'

Phantom gritted his teeth before blasting one behind Prior and it exploded, Prior screeched as the flames hit him. Phantom quickly flew over and Toxin took over and tried to pull Prior off, he screeched and clawed at them, then other tanks started to explode, the flames caused both of them to screech in pain.

Toxin got Prior off his host and he threw him onto the ground with the last of his strength. Phantom grabbed the man and flew out as fast as he could as the rest of the factory went up in flames. Phantom was barely conscious, he lost his strength after they got a safe distance away, Robin ran to them as fast as he could.

Phantom fell to his knees and dropped the unconscious former host, "We did it buddy."

He fell to the ground watching his vision go black without getting a response from his partner before he blacked out.
