More on plurals!
So we know how to plural basic nouns now. What's next? Plural pronouns!
I, You, and he/she are all singular pronouns.
The other set is plural pronouns: We, You (plural), and they.
The latin endings for these are as follows:
We= -mus
You (pl)= -tis
They= -nt
When it comes to conjugating (listing out every possible version of verb) verbs, we like to put things in a table. A table that is hard to make in a word doc.
Let's do one with the word 'Necare' or 'To kill'
It goes like this:
-Neca(re)-
singular plural
1st Neco Necamus
2nd Necas Necatis
3rd Necat Necant
(The numbers refer to the person- 1st person and so on) (you should know this from writing)
In this way, we can glance at our chart and know:
I kill, We kill, You kill, You all kill, He/She kills, They kill
Charts like this are quite important to latin as we get into various tenses and cases later on.
A sentences to try making, using what words you remember:
"We do not kill wolves."
And also to consider:
What is "They love?"
Try conjugating the verb 'Amat'
Next: MORE VERBS! Just new words so I can ask for harder sentences. And one very special verb family...
