     A lot of fans would definitely love to know all about their idols, and see them closer. But sometimes it gets out of hand and actually harms them. This is known as being a Sasaeng—the slang word for obsessive fans who stalks, invades privacy and do extreme means for their idols.

     Sa (사) means "private" and saeng (생) means "life". Sasaeng is pertaining to the intrusion of someone's life and privacy.

     There are fans that claimed that they were only doing things out of love but forgot what it means to be a "fan".

     Here are some experience of K-Pop idols with their sasaeng fans...

1. BTS

     • Sasaengs touch, pull and even grab the members.
     • Booked the same plane. When the airplane had finally landed, all of them hurriedly go out of the plane without getting their luggages.
     • #CuttingForKookie trended on Twitter uploading photos of the fan's wrist cuts.

2. BlackPink

     • Fans climbed on top of police vans, stampeded across the airport.
     • A fan found out a staffs profilr and ranted why Lisa always sings the main rap line and not Jennie.
     • They receive death threats.

3. EXO

     • Sasaeng rented out a van identical to EXO's van and parked it in front. EXO almost entered the van.
     • Putting cameras inside EXO's hotel rooms.
     • Female fans shaved their heads just to go inside the male's bathroom where EXO are.
     • Fans laid down the street to prevent EXO from leaving.
