14: The Proper Introduction
"Fix my lips, YN!" Taehyung bopped over to you during the interview intermission. But not without a buddy next to him.
"Does my make-up look okay?" Yoongi spoke up.
You held Taehyung's face and added more gloss. Then you looked at Yoongi's face, trying your hardest not to blush. He was so handsome.
"You look very, very handsome. Okay, you can both go back." You nodded. Taehyung flew back, excited to keep talking to his fans, but Yoongi hung back for an extra moment. "Yes?"
"I'm sorry I was so rude to you this morning. You can call me SUGA. What's your name?" He held his hand out to you apologetically.
"Oh... Oh!" You shook your head to get it out of the clouds and took his hand with both of your hands awkwardly. "Hi! My name is YN! I'm sorry I didn't have time to give you freckles today, I think you look really, really good with them."
Yoongi smiled, his heart felt warm from the compliment and the fact that you were still shaking his hand with both of your hands.
"Yoongi! Come on! We're starting again!" Namjoon called out, shaking him from his stupor.
"Ah! Coming!" Yoongi looked back at you and smiled again. "Next time. Thank you."
Reluctantly, he pulled his hand away and hurried back to his interview while you returned to your fellow hair and make-up team.
"See what I mean about having to redo those lips all the damn time?" Mi Cha tsked. "Annoying. Also, don't do it."
"Don't do what?" You looked at her.
"Don't sleep with SUGA." She crossed her arms and lowered her voice. "I mean, you're an adult woman, and you can, and I won't fire you, but I just don't recommend it."
"Oh. Why not?" You inquired. "Is it just annoying for you guys? Not that I'm trying to do that, I swear. But at the other tour, they would be late for hair and make-up because of it and it got annoying."
"Well, I guess that, but mostly I just don't think it'll end well. I've worked with the boys since the beginning and even I still don't call them by their actual names. They don't let people in their group very easily. I guess what I really mean is don't get too attached." She shrugged. "You seem nice, and they're just too famous to have the sort of relationship that you deserve to have."
"Hmm." You thought about what she said.
That doesn't really seem fair. Don't they deserve to have the same sort of relationship that I deserve too? Even if they're famous? It must get lonely if they can't go on dates. It must be even lonelier if people on tour don't even call them by their actual names... You sighed. I knew the actual names of the members of Highlight and we weren't even that close.
Your heart swelled a bit for the handsome men a few yards away from you. Perhaps you could try and reach out to them, to SUGA, and see if there was anything you could do for them.
