Would you look at that? Another Naruto chapter. Anyways, you do not need me to tell you just how massive and beloved the Naruto series is. It was once part of the Big Three alongside Bleach and One Piece, the titans of the Shonen Jump manga. All these series have pros and cons about them, there is no exception to Naruto specifically. In fact, one of the biggest problems the fans have with Naruto is one character in particular, that being Sakura Haruno.

   If you are brand new to the Naruto fanbase, one of the first things you will know is just how HATED Sakura is. When you see the series yourself, you really cannot help but agree in some aspects. In fact, I have pointed down the three most hated aspects about Sakura.

1. She is selfish and weak minded

2. She treats Naruto, one of her closest friends, like crap.

3. Despite being a main character, she feels more like a side character.

    Sakura does very little when it comes to progressing the plot of the story, in some arcs she is just straight up forgotten about. These aspects all come together to turn Sakura into a very unlikable character, arguably the most hated character in the entire franchise. Whilst I believe that there are characters worse than her like Kaguya and 99% of the Boruto cast, there is some aspects about her that can be salvageable to turn her into a more likable character that feels like she matters. So with that out of the way...LETS FIX!

    When it comes to the first part of Naruto, I will keep it the same. Sakura's involvement wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good, it was just fine. However, I will state that in the end of the first part, after Naruto and Sasuke had their battle, Sakura is given a massive wake up call. She realizes that she is arguably one of the weakest ninjas in her class and it's because of this weakness that she had to rely on Naruto to get Sasuke back, with her being too weak to do so. Because of this, she vows to get stronger so that she doesn't have to rely on everyone else saving her.

    The first part of Shippuden is fine as well, because it is in this that Sakura reaches her peak of her character when she helps fight against the Akatsuki member Sasori of the Red Sand. This can also be a good starting point when she reveals to everyone that she has been training hard. Her physical strength is arguably one of the strongest as well as her Medical Jutsu is top notch. Sakura would reveal to Naruto that she has been training hard under Tsunade in order to become stronger. Not just for herself but for her friends so she doesn't have to rely on them so often.

    This is where the real changes begin with the Tenchi Bridge arc.

    With Kakashi left bedridden and Yamato taking over as leader for Team 7, as well as the introduction of Sai. Whilst Sai is disliked by the two, especially when he degrades Sasuke for leaving the Leaf Village. Sakura originally punches him, but in this she angrily grabs at his shirt in a threatening manner. Despite this, she understands that Sai doesn't understand Sasuke like they do, so she resides to just try to mediate the situation between the two. This shows that Sakura is slowly but surely getting rid of that terrible anger she had. Like in canon, Sakura is knocked out due to the battle with Orochimaru, waking up she finds out that Naruto has entered the Kurama Cloak, turning into a rampaging beast that targets her and Yamato after Orochimaru led him. Instead of trying to reason with him, Sakura tries to distract Naruto and hold him off as Yamato performs the wood seal.

    Sakura gets injured from this, but she holds off from receiving treatment until Naruto has come back to his senses. Once Naruto returns back to normal, his body is injured from the transformation and Sakura begins to heal him. Looking down at the blonde-haired boy, Sakura begins to remember all those times she treated him badly. All the names and punches she did to him, whilst staring down at his injured form, brings tears to her eyes. Naruto awakes to this and is immediately worried, more so when he sees that Sakura still hasn't fixed her wound. She simply tells him that she's just happy he is alive and okay, promising she will do whatever she can to help him. She then fixes her wound, the group now continuing their mission.

    They get to Orochimaru's lair, where they believe Sai double crossed them, but Sai instead betrays Kabuto and tells them that he had found Sasuke. Both Naruto and Sakura are shocked to see him, with Sakura feeling happy that she gets to see her love again. That all changes when Sasuke fights them, showing that he is on Orochimaru's side and has become far stronger than them. Naruto is hit back, and Sasuke is prepared to cut him down, but Sakura suddenly gets in front of the attack, countering with one of her attacks. She loses the stalemate and is knocked down, with Sasuke prepared to kill both of them until being persuaded to hold off by Orochimaru. With their friend leaving, Sakura and Naruto are devastated, with Sakura telling Naruto that they need to get stronger than ever....

    The Akatsuki Suppression Mission begins with everyone discussing with a healed Kakashi. Sakura tells her leader that Sasuke had gotten insanely strong, so much that he easily took them both out. She says that it may be due to the medication that Orochimaru had given him, mainly that of the strange Curse Mark placed on him. Kakashi states that both she and Naruto need to prepare for this, telling Naruto that he should learn a new Jutsu. Sakura is told she should learn more from Tsunade during the time Naruto has, to which she does. Whilst Naruto is given the much cooler Rasenshuriken, Sakura begins her learning of one of Tsunade's most powerful medical jutsu's, the Creation Rebirth. A jutsu that is able to draw from the chakra supplies to heal any wound the user receives. Sakura unfortunately still has a way to go to master it.

    After the training, everyone learns that the Akatsuki members Hidan and Kakuzu have been spotted. With them fighting Team 10, both Sakura and Sai are sent to aid them, but they find out that Shikimaru has already defeated Hidan. Sakura immediately begins to head back, wishing to help Naruto. Whilst the battle with Kakuzu is a struggle, Naruto finds himself being ganged up on by him and his strange mask monsters. Naruto tries to get an attack in, but one of the mask monsters gets in front to block the attack. Suddenly, the monster is slammed away by none other than Sakura, whose attack allows Naruto to get a successful hit in on Kakuzu. Both Team 7 members split up the assault, Naruto fighting one on one with Kakuzu as Sakura fights the mask creatures. She struggles for a bit before showcasing her brute strength, punching one of them so hard the creature is torn in half. With the fight now more even, Naruto has no trouble unleashing his new technique and killing Kakuzu.

    Naruto's arm is unfortunately damaged, but Sakura is immediately there to help treat his wound. Even helping him eat ramen whenever they go to the restaurant. For some comedy, they meet up with the young Konohamaru, who shows them the usual Sexy Jutsu Technique. Whilst Naruto is all for this, Sakura is visibly annoyed and lightly taps Naruto with a chakra infused finger. Not enough to hurt him but enough to make him stumble a bit. Sakura calls Naruto a pervert and giggles, to which Naruto couldn't help but chuckle as well. Suddenly, Konohamaru does his new technique, the Sexy Boy on Boy technique (aka the Yaoi technique). Sakura immediately covers her nose bleed as she looks away with a blush and wide eyes, Naruto now the one calling her a pervert, to which she glares at him.

     The Itachi Pursuit Mission and Fated Battle Between Brothers are mainly Sasuke focused so we will be skipping those.

    Before Pain's assault on Konoha, word reaches out that Jiraiya had been killed by Pain. Both Naruto and Sakura hear this, with Naruto emotionally telling Tsunade that it is her fault that he died. Sakura is quick to defend her, to which Naruto leaves to mourn. Sakura, wanting to help her friend, tries multiple times to go to his apartment. Bringing him snacks and treats in an effort to try and talk to him. However, he still doesn't open up, making Sakura saddened and go to Shikimaru. With him being one of Naruto's oldest friends, she thinks he will have a better chance to bring him out. After the talk and Naruto's hopes restored, he goes to train and try to master Sage Mode in preparation for Pain. As Naruto is away, Sakura is one of the people to help Shikimaru decipher what Jiraiya's message is regarding Pain's power. Unfortunately, this is when Pain begins his assault.

    The paths of Pain begin to wreck the village, injuring citizens and causing everyone to fight against them. Sakura does her own part, fighting off whoever she can whilst guiding a group of citizens to a hospital. Suddenly, Deva Path Pain unleashes his Shinra Tensei, the Almighty Push, and turns Konoha into a massive crater. Naruto has yet to arrive, thus Pain waits inside the ruins for him to arrive. To his surprise, a bleeding Sakura begins to walk up to him, her face showing that of rage. "You bastard..." She mutters before rushing to him to fight, hoping to stall him long enough for Naruto to arrive.

     They clash, using their techniques in a display of hand-to-hand combat. Every time Sakura misses, a burst of Chakra is seen exploding from her fist. To say she is angry is an understatement. Despite this, she's able to keep Pain on his toes until the other paths suddenly arrive. Now faced with all six, Sakura prepares for battle, using everything she's learned up to this point. However, she is facing against six super powerful opponents, to say she is struggling is an understatement.

    She counters the animal paths summons only to get blasted by the asura path. The tries to hit the naraka path only to be countered and have some chakra absorbed by the preta path. Even when she heavily damaged one of them, the naraka path uses the king of hell to heal them up. After a while Sakura is bloody, bruised, and panting for breath. This was a losing battle of attrition, one where she was surrounded by all sides. Her heart aches, she wants to cry. She wants to call for Naruto and Sasuke to save her...but she doesn't. She remembers all the times before, how much she relied on others and got them hurt because of her. How weak she used to be...no more. No more! She wasn't going to back down from a fight any longer. She was going to take them down, even if it killed her.

    Sakura raises her arms up and performs a hand seal. Without warning, her entire body is instantly recovered. Pain only watches in silence as Sakura gave a determined smile, finally having mastered the Creation Rebirth. With her body fully healed, she immediately rushes forward, now knowing who to target first. That damned Naraka path.

     She counters and brute forces herself against the other paths as she sets her full attack force on the naraka path. After a brutal struggle she finally lands a killing blow, punching the naraka path so hard in the face that the corpse puppets head flies off. Sakura turns to the rest with a smirk, she took out their healer, making it easier for Naruto to deal with. Her battle continues, but Pain has had enough of this scuffle. He has the other paths keep her busy, giving him an opening to unleash an Almighty Push directly into her. Sakura takes the full brunt force of the attack and flies back.

     Sakura is unconscious, bleeding, and has several bones broken. She was about to be finished off until a figure arrived in the nick of time. Naruto, having mastered his sage mode. He thanks his friend before turning to the paths, where usual canon continues except the Naraka path was taken out, giving Naruto an edge over the fight.

     It wasn't until later when Sakura was awakened by the intense battle. She spots Hinata nearly dead on the ground as Naruto, in an enraged 6 tails state, is fighting against Pain. Despite her injuries, she stumbles over and begins to heal Hinata. She won't let her die because she was unable to help. The effort already makes the tired Sakura even more exhausted, causing her to pass out once Hinata starts to wake up again.

     After the fight with Pain is over, Naruto goes over to see if his friends are okay. Sakura is being treated for her wounds, but once she spots Naruto she gets up. Without a word, she hugs Naruto, telling him thank you for everything he's done.

    The Five Kage summit starts with Tsunade comatose, Danzo becoming Hokage and ordering the death of Sasuke, and Naruto and Sakura learning of Sasuke's involvement in the Akatsuki and capture of Killer Bee. Sakura also learns that Naruto, after being questioned by Omoi and Karui, has gone to the Fourth Raikage to help get a pardon for Sasuke. This allows Sakura time to think. Think on what Naruto and Sasuke mean to her.

     Deep down she does still love Sasuke, but after what happened at Orochimaru's lair that love has become tainted with him trying to kill her. On the other hand, she realizes that Naruto has done so much for her that she cannot help but see him more as a friend. But...not a lover. She sees him as a brother. Her mind goes back to Sasuke and how conflicted she was over him. But...deep down she knew that what Sasuke was doing was wrong. With tears in her eyes, she knows that Sasuke has to be stopped...even if it meant killing him...

     The time comes and Sakura goes with Konoha 11 to meet up with Naruto. As the group begins to search for Sasuke, Sakura begins to think to herself a way to take out Sasuke. But the more she thinks, she looks to Naruto and knows that he's doing this partly because of the promise he made when Sasuke left the Leaf Village. She pulls Naruto to the side to speak in private, where she tells Naruto to think about their mission. Sakura says that she wants both of them to try and get Sasuke back on their side...but she solemnly tells him that if they have to, if Sasuke is too dangerous and tries to kill them, they may have to stop him permanently. This shocks Naruto, who states that there shouldn't be a point that comes to that, but Sakura only sighs and tells him to keep this in mind if the time comes. Naruto still disagrees, creating a small turmoil between the two and their separate goals for this mission.

     Sasuke is finally located, but the team gets confused when they find Sakura is no longer with them. It's revealed that Sakura is currently speaking to Sasuke in his hideout, saying she wants to join him even if it meant to destroy Konoha. Sasuke wants a test of loyalty from her by killing Karin. When she does so, Sasuke tries to kill her from behind with a Chidori, only to be stopped by Kakashi. Sakura feels her entire heart shatter at this, the man she once loved didn't show a hint of remorse for his actions in trying to kill her. She heals Karin and goes to help Kakashi, where she's able to attack Sasuke from behind. Sasuke feels a sharp pain on his neck and quickly bounced back, touching the spot and seeing blood. Sakura is staring at him with tears pouring down her cheeks and holding a slightly bloody kunai. She really did just try to kill Sasuke....

     This enrages Sasuke who immediately attacks her, nearly piercing her with another Chidori until Naruto enters the battle. After a brief scuffle, they decide to continue this fight another day, with Sakura deep down knowing they're going to kill each other. Once they return, Naruto is ridiculed for his belief that Sasuke can be redeemed, but Sakura is quick to defend him.

     Fourth Great Ninja War begins with the Edo Tensei being activated, causing the reanimated corpses of previous shinobi being reanimated. Considering not a lot of important stuff happens during this, at least until Madara arrives, Sakura was only put in the role of medical ninja in the backlines. However, she doesn't take this lightly and manages to convince others that she's able to fight as well. She becomes a front-line fighter, using her brute strength to bash opponents away but also able to heal the wounded with her jutsu. During this time, Tsunade is able to help her get on the road of unlocking the powerful Strength of a Hundred Seal. The purple diamond on her forehead. She's able to impress everyone, showing just how strong she has gotten compared to her early youth.

    The real interesting stuff happens when Madara is introduced into the war and takes out an entire ninja division. A scroll of dead allied force soldiers is stolen and Sakura is sent with a team to get it back. If that scroll is read, it'll give the enemy far more soldiers to reincarnate to their side. Sakura is leading the charge, showing her immense strength as she punches back entire groups of Zetsu clones. They're able to get the scroll back, stopping a potential trump card for the enemy.

     The climax of the war (seriously why did this war only last a couple of days) begins with the remaining allied forces arriving to help Naruto fight Tobi and the Ten Tails. The attack, however, fails and many are killed by the Ten Tailed beast. Sakura quickly tries to heal people, but so many are either dead or too wounded to be saved. Naruto is injured by Tenpenchii after giving everyone protective Chakra cloaks, to which Sakura is there to help heal him. They're saved from the tailed beast ball when the Fourth Hokage, Minato, arrives. He thanks Sakura for healing Naruto and asks if she's his girlfriend, to which Naruto says yes but Sakura tells him that now is not the time for jokes.

     Sasuke arrives shortly after for the defense of Konoha, shocking Sakura and everyone else. With team 7 finally being reformed, they rush to face after the Ten Tails. Naruto and Sasuke tell Sakura to stand back, but she steps forward. The purple diamond on her head beginning to form thick ink lines around her head and body. Revealing she's unlocked the Strength of a Hundred Seal. She tells the two that she won't be backing out anymore, she's done being the weakling. This makes the boys smile and join at her side, all rushing to the Ten Tails and its clones.

     They blitz through the army, Sasuke slashing with his sword and using his Sharingan abilities. Naruto performing his shadow clones and barrage of Rasengans. Sakura using her brute strength to blast through massive holes in the horde, grappling and striking them so hard to blast the clones apart. Sasuke and Naruto go on to fight the Ten Tails as Sakura fights off the rest of the horde and uses Katsuyu, her summon, to tend to the hurt allies.

     Terror strikes the forces as Obito reveals himself and becomes the Ten Tails Jinchuriki, allowing him to summon the God Tree to absorb the allied shinobi forces chakra. Sakura tries to join the fight, but Katsuyu tells her that its segments were destroyed by the God Tree. Sakura goes and tries to help everyone, but the stress is building up as people are becoming weaker and weaker. She begins to scold herself, thinking that she's too weak to help anyone, but her master Tsunade arrives. She tells Sakura that she can only do so much, but she's far from the weakling she says she is. With the help of Tsunade, they both summon a massive segment of Katsuyu to dissolve and heal everyone across the battlefield.

    The battle waged on for a bit longer until Madara enters the battlefield. Madara betrays Obito, revealing he's only been using him as a pawn this entire time to become the new Ten tails jinchuriki, becoming the strongest fighter with near god like power. Both Naruto and Sasuke clash against him with Obito and Sakura in Kakashi's kamui dimension he made to keep Obito's Rinnegan away. Sakura is obviously angered by Obito, but she is cut off when Obito claims he wants her to destroy his eye to stop Madara from using the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Sakura is shocked at this moment of sacrifice from the man the world went to war against, but she complies and pulls out her kunai. Just as she's about to stab his eye, Madara appears inside the kamui dimension and blasts Sakura away; leaving him to be able to get the Rinnegan. Madara doesn't expect for Sakura to immediately bounce back, swinging at his face with her knuckles protruding out to pierce his eyes, but Madara's quick thinking stops her.

     Team 7 are regrouped and Sakura offers to heal Kakashi's lost eye, but is surprised when Naruto does it himself. Sakura is saddened knowing that her healing power may not be enough anymore to help others, but she's taken out of her sadness when they begin to plan for Madara when he gets back. Soon enough, Black Zetsu brings Madara back to the battlefield, where he's immediately jumped by Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Despite the teamwork by the three, Madara is obscenely powerful compared to them.

     Sakura goes to strike at him, but she's stabbed by a morphed truth seeking orb. She only coughs and glares up at him, pushing herself more on the sword to get closer to him, only to get launched back. Madara raises his hand and rains down the ridiculous mass of meteors. The three form a quick strategy, one that Sasuke and Naruto did a long time ago. Sasuke forms his Susanoo and slashes some meteors, launching a sword which Sakura was riding on. The sword stabs into the meteor as Sakura concentrated on forming her chakra into her fist, roaring and slamming it down on the meteor. The impact of both shattered the meteor, Sakura suddenly grabbing a massive Boulder and swinging it directly at Madara. The jinchuriki simply moves his head to the side, but Sasuke uses his abilities to swap the places of that rock and Naruto. Both Naruto and Sakura slam their most powerful attacks into Madara. Despite such a powerful strike, Madara did what happened to him when Might Guy fought. He simply regenerated, going to the sky and beginning the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

     As everyone is placed in a dream like state, Team 7 are the only ones unaffected thanks to Sasuke's quick thinking with the Susanoo. They prepare to fight again, Sakura activating the Creation Rebirth and spreading it to her and everyone else. Suddenly, as Madara is speaking, Black Zetsu stabs Madara and begins to morph him into Kaguya (yeah yeah dumb plot twist, but if I am gonna fix this scene I need to fix the entire ending. Sorry).

     At the appearance of such a powerful foe, everyone is immediately taken to Kaguya's dimension so she can absorb their chakra. They try to fight against her, but Kaguya's sheer chakra strength is overpowering all of them. Despite this, they form their strategy of using her dimensions against her to weather her down and unleash one last attack to seal her. They succeed, with Sakura delivering a powerful punch to the back of Kaguya's head to prevent her from escaping.

     Back in the real world, everyone is ready to end the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but Sasuke stops them, stating his plan to kill the Five Kage and Tailed Beasts, planning on starting a revolution. Naruto is ready to argue, but he goes silent when Sakura silently walks up to Sasuke. Sasuke watches her, expecting her to plead with him to not do it....only to be punched directly on the face and launched back. Sakura looks at him with tears pouring down her face. "You...piece of shit!" She yelled out, pouring her heart out then and there. How deep down she held onto hope for Sasuke being a better person, to change, but time after time he just breaks her heart. She proclaims she's sick of this, sick of his bullshit, and claims that if Sasuke wants to hurt the world and Naruto, he's going to have to go through her first. Sasuke, in a display of cold nature, hits Sakura with a genjutsu and knocks her out, leaving Naruto and Sasuke to have their final battle.

     Sakura wakes up with Kakashi watching her, asking where the boys went. Kakashi tells her and watches as she leaves to go help them. When she gets there, she is shocked to see both tired and both having lost an arm. She heals Naruto first, then Sasuke, the once traitor now telling her that he's sorry about what he's done, about everything he had done. Sakura...doesn't answer at first, but when she's done she helps him up. "I won't forgive you for all the times...but if you're willing to change...to keep everyone safe...then I won't kick your butt." She smiles with tears pouring down her cheeks. The trio of friends embrace, finally now able to look forward to an age of peace....

     With Sasuke receiving a pardon on the behalf of Naruto and Kakashi, he is prepared to leave on a journey of atonement before being confronted by Sakura. She asks if he's going to leave, to which he confirms with a nod. She asks if he's gonna be back anytime soon, claiming that he has a prosthesis arm being prepared. Sasuke declines, turning and saying that he'll return...and visit her first. Sakura can't help but give a soft blush, but smiles and bids him farewell, going back to the Leaf Village to attend Naruto and Hinata's wedding.
