BaekHyuns POV

"Mom" I said for the 57th time. " I will be fine"

"I know, I know. I'm just making sure my baby won't get hurt. I need you to stay safe and stay in one piece okay?" My mother cupped my cheeks and looked me dead in the eyes.

The reason being that I was leaving home for a while to go to university in Seoul. And of course, like they always do, my mom was worrying. Sometimes I couldn't tell whether she actually wanted me to leave but then again why would she? My father stood behind her rolling his eyes on how much she overreacts. My dad was different to my mom—he was more laid back whereas my mom stressed over simple things but usually it was only because she wanted the best for me.

"Yes yes, I got it. It's not like I'm leaving you forever, I'll visit you after a few years. Or maybe sooner, who knows" I raised my hand up to hers and  pulled them off my face but not completely letting go. If I said I wasn't going to miss my parents, I would be lying.

"Okay" My mom sighed once more and have me a small sad smile. "I'm going to miss you Baekhyun"

"I'm going to miss you too mom"

"Ay ay ay, don't I get a 'I'm going to miss you too dad'?"  My father butted in, suddenly standing by my side.

I laughed and hugged him "Yes. I'm going to miss you aswell dad"

"Good, now go before your mother starts crying." He squeezes me tightly before letting me go and directing me to my own car.

After loading my suitcase and several other bags into the boot, I got into the front seat and started the engine. I looked out the window to see my parents still waiting outside the house, holding hands with one hand and waving with the other.

"Bye!! See you later!" I said even though the window wasn't down. Hopefully they could lip read.

I set off on my journey, refusing to tear up—I was going to keep positive and excited like I usual am!

Replacing the previous CD in my car, with a new one, I turned up the volume as a distraction.  Since it was my most favourited album at the moment, I knew it would cheer me up at least the finest bit.

From my house it was  at least a 6hours drive to Seoul which was definitely exhausting. I had to stop at several places during the ride since it was my first driving such a long diatance on my self— normally it would be my dad driving and I would be asleep in the back of the car.

Aswell as me, my best friend Chen chose the same university. This made me feel relieved to have one person I knew so we could get lost together.
I had told Chen to meet me in Seoul at our apartment. We had helped to pay for it together and agreed to share a room to save money. Plus it's better to have company right? Even if Chen can be an arse.

I arrived at Seoul at about 7 o clock and texted Chen as soon as I got there. He said he was already at the apartment unpacking so I drove the rest of the way to meet him.

When I got there I checked in and began to try and find this goddamn room.

Room 255...

Yep, it was a big block of apartments and I had to try and find our room alone because Chen didn't wait for me. I wondered up the first corridor and took the elevator up to an estimated guess of what floor it would be on.  After guessing right, I ended up on the 5th floor. I walked down the corridor until I was standing in front of the last room labelled with the numbers 255.

I knocked slightly before opening the door and walked in. The apartment was spacious and lacked a bit of colour, but that could easily be sorted. It was a perfect size for the two do us.

"Chen?" I call and a head popped round from what looks like the small kitchen.
The boy grins and leaps out, runs towards me and hugs me tightly.

"Yay! You're here!" Chen says and let's go. "It's nice isn't it?"

"Yeah definitely. Now where am I sleeping?"

"Well I don't know if the woman gave me the wrong room, but she kinda gave us one King sized bed.." He laughed and directed me to the bedroom.

"What the— right well that only means one thing" I say and Chen haves me a confused look. "IM ON THE RIGHT!" I began to run to my side of the bed but Chen grabbed my arm, restricting me from moving further. I tried to drag him along with me but it was no use; he was stronger, instead I chucked my bad on to the right pillow as though it would claim my place.

"Byun Baekhyun! I wanted that end!"

"Ha! Too late! It's mine now" I have a sarcastic smile and pushed him on the bed in an attempt to get him off of my arm. He did so I quickly sat next to my bag and the right hand side pillow.

"Alright alright, you get the right. But you have to swap at least a few times okay? " Chen laughed and sat up. "Wait what are we gonna do if we invite people round? Won't they find it weird that we are sharing a bed?"

Chen and I have been friends, best friends, for so long it's difficult to remember when we weren't. We grew up together and sort of followed the same paths. We had often visited each other's houses a lot as children which lead to sleep overs and since there was always one bed—we didn't mind.

"True. Just say one of us doesn't stay here and we're only visiting. Or we can act like like one of us sleeps on the sofa."

Chen laughed at my comment "'We can act'" he repeated.

"What? It's better than nothing. Do you want them to think we're gay? "

"You already are, I don't understand this question"

"Yeah but they won't know that and nor do they need to"

Chen stood up and brought his suitcase onto the bed and carried on unpacking. "What if I want to bring a girl here? " Chen winked then picked up one of his t-shirts and place it in a drawer.

"Ew. Please don't. Whatever that meant. Take her somewhere else to do your business"

"You're no fun"

"We share the same bed now you idiot. Of course I'm not gonna let you, otherwise I'll never be able to sleep at night"

Chen shoved a few more things in the same drawer, hung his jumpers and other shirts and trousers in the wardrobe before complaining how hungry he was. I rolled my eyes and decided to unpack at least some of my items.

Once most of our suitcase and bags were unpacked we finally decided upon going out for a meal and a drink. I suggested the idea of getting a Chinese take away for something simple tonight and then find a nice restaurant tomorrow. Chen agreed and we grabbed our coats and keys and money and headed out of the apartment, not forgetting to lock it.

"Mmmm! I haven't had Chinese in ages! It's so delicious~"
We were sat in a small Chinese restaurant and take away but since hardly anyone was inside we decided to sit in the seats in front of the window.
Chen and I watched the people of Seoul walk by. We even counted how many outfits and hairstyles we thought looked good. Basically people watching—and it was fun.

"Ah, I want shoes like those" I say pointing out a boy who looked slightly younger than us. My best friend hummed and nodded in agreement,

"Ohmygod his clothes are so nic—and hers!" Chen showed me who he was talking about and this time p, it was me who nodded. If I didn't know Chen was straight, I probably would have thought he was gay aswell. Even if it's a little bit. You can see it though right? "Omo, look at his hair! That's fricken bright!" He pointed to a tall slim guy that didn't look any older than me. His hair was bright red with slightly blackish roots as though he had dyed it a while ago and it needed redoing. The boy walked in the Chinese restaurant, with his hands in his pockets and went right to counter.
"Daebak.." Chen said as his eyes followed the guy along. I smacked his arm before the stranger saw, but really, neither of us stopped looking.

"He must have dyed that for attention" I murmur under my breath.

The two of turn back round hoping the guy didn't see us in anyway let alone hear us."Only because your jealous of such good hair."

"I'm not jealous, natural is always the best " I say flicking my black silky hair slightly across my forehead. Chen laughed at me and rolled his eyes in the process.

We heard a deep voice from the counter and saw that it was still only the brightly coloured hair guy saying 'thank you'. Discreetly, Chen watched him walk back down through the Chinese and out the door, letting a gust of wind through.

The red hair slowly disappeared into the now dark streets as we carried on eating. "Shame we'll never get to see him again"

"For heavens sake Chen, let him go." I Shook my head and rolled my eyes.

Is Chen sure he's not gay?
