Fourteen
Baekhyun's POV
Now sat up straight, observing each corner of the room, I realise that I'm no longer on the floor. It's the next day and for some reason I woke up in the bed Chanyeol had previously been sleeping. However, he wasn't here anymore. It was just me underneath the quilts.
I stared at the area I had gone to sleep on– the jackets that I had used were no longer there either. After furrowing my eyebrows in confusion, I wonder if it had all been a dream— did Chanyeol actually come? Did he really sleep at our door? Did he really sleep over? And did we even sort out the problem between us?
I flung the covers off my legs and skidded to the wardrobe. I searched through it until I found my jackets nicely placed back where they were before. Confused, I looked Down to what I was wearing and it was still the clothes on I had on before.
'Surely it's not a dream. I swear....'
Shaking my head, I close the wardrobe and walked out my bedroom. As soon as I opened the door, the smell of fried breakfast hit me and I suddenly feel damn hungry. I almost take a minute to just stand there and sniff the air.
As I walk through the apartment I see that Chen must be awake because he's no longer on the couch, so I guess that he is the one cooking.
When I turn the corner and see Chanyeols broad back while he stands over a pan that's sizzling with oil, it nearly shocks me. Chen is there of course, but he was sat down watching the boy while sipping a glass of orange juice.
I stand there for a while, just taking in what I'm seeing and then adding it to the confusion I had while in the bedroom.
Not to mention, Chanyeol looked damn good in an untucked shirt and scraggly hair in the morning.
"Oh hey Byun" Chen said after I had walked forward into the kitchen to get a drink of my own. After all the Sight of Chanyeol right now did leave me with a bit of a dry throat.
"Hey" I replied not really taking my eye off Chanyeol.
Chanyeol was smirking before he lifted his head to see me.
"Good mornin'" the taller said.
I take a big gulp of my drink.
"Did you.. how did I—?"
"-Get in the bed?" Chanyeol finished my sentence knowing that was what I was asking. I nodded and he carried on. "I woke up quite early and happened to notice you curled up on the floor. So I got up and tucked you in."
While my mouth was parted, I didn't really know what to say. However Chen seemed to interrupt.
"Isn't that cute?"
"Yes it is I guess. I'm just that kinda guy."
"Oh shut up" I said and move out of the kitchen.
"Don't you go anywhere, breakfast is nearly ready."
I sigh and walk straight back in and sit next to Chen.
"What are you two up to today?" Chen asked.
"Nothing." I said unconsciously. But when I saw Chanyeol glance over his shoulder at us. I speak again "well not that I know of anyway.."
"How about you go out?"
"Are you trying to get rid of me?"
"Yeah. I want you to leave so I can secretly watch all your favourite programs without you" Chen rolled his eyes. "No you idiot. I just thought it would be nice for the two of you"
"I agree" Chanyeol interrupted as he turned around and laid out the freshly cooked breakfast to three separate dishes. He was smirking although he wasn't looking at either of us.
"Fine." I mumbled.

Walking through the park wasn't really what I imagined when Chen said go out but I couldn't complain. It was a pretty weird and stressful day yesterday so strolling through a path of fallen leaves was quite relaxing.
Chanyeol was by my side, walking quietly (yes, unlike him, I know).
I didn't really know what to say to start a conversation up. Everything that had happened before was kind of embarrassing to even think about let alone talk about but he knew he needed to get straight with Chanyeol.
"Uh, Chan.." I began, already failing at a 'smooth' start.
"Hm" he hummed in response, not breaking his gaze from the path in front of us.
"You still don't think Chen likes me right??" I asked and looked up to him waiting for the reaction he has. the only thing I saw was the corners of Chanyeol's lips turn up slightly as if he was trying not to smirk.
"Or that I like him that way, either??" I added just to clarify–god knows what that expression meant.
"No" Chanyeol said. "You made it clear don't worry"
I smiled and continued strolling next to him without a sound for a moment or two.
"You're very weird drunk"
This time Chanyeol gasped and turned to me. " I wasn't even drunk!" He said. " only a bit tipsy.."
I laughed and rolled my eyes. "Still weird"
"Could say the same thing about you"
"You've never seen me drunk!"
"Don't need to. You're already weird without alcohol."
"Then why are you still with me?"
"Because I like weird"
I opened my mouth to talk back but closed it once realising what he said. Biting the inside of my mouth, I keep quiet despite the tiny feeling of heat spreading in my cheeks. How does this guy make this happen all the time?
I heard Chanyeol chuckle by the side of me as I ignored him like nothing happened.
Should I say it to him?? I questioned myself. I should probably tell him.
Something then cut off my thoughts when I felt Chanyeol's hand slip into mine.
My heart began to beat faster as I remain silent. I had lost my words, completely distracted.
"No need to speak" Chanyeol said, softly. " let's just walk like this"
