Patton and Virgil were taking Bear out for a walk. It was nice and peaceful outside. Patton had let Virgil hold the leash as the emo had wanted to. Bear's tail was a blur and she was sniffing everything. Virgil was smiling as he listened to his boyfriend ramble about something. He stepped over a puddle of water caused by last night's rain. Thankfully it was only rain so Patton had remained calm. Virgil wasn't looking and suddenly Bear took off to the side in a sprint. Since he didn't expect it she easily pulled him down to the ground. Out of shock he let go of the leash but yelled out, "Bear!" She slowed down and ran back up to Virgil. Virgil felt the mud from the puddle he was in soak his clothes and he cringed at the feeling. Bear jumped into the puddle and came up close to the emo. Some of the mud splashed up and hit Virgil in the face. Bear's tail was still wagging and Virgil would've been mad if she didn't look so cute. She nuzzled him and he shook his head but still smiled at her. "Are you okay Babe?" Patton asked.

Virgil stood up and turned around, "Yeah, just muddy and uncomfortable."

Patton giggled and leaned over to give him a peck on his cheek, "Let's go home and get you cleaned up then." Virgil picked up Bear's leash, making sure to keep a firm grip on it, and they headed home.

They went into the small backyard instead of inside. Patton brought out the hose and Virgil and Bear stood against the fence. "Wow this is so romantic," Virgil joked.

"Best date idea," Patton joked back and turned the water on. Virgil flinched as it hit him but he let Patton rinse him off along with Bear. Patton went inside and grabbed some towels then came back out and handed one to his boyfriend. Patton dried Bear off enough that the water wasn't dripping off her. Virgil did the same with himself. They headed into the bathroom and Virgil turned on the water.

Virgil patted the side of the tub, "Come on girl, get in." Bear looked at the water then turned to Virgil and licked his face. "Cute, but not what I said." Virgil encouraged Bear into the bath and she eventually got in. Virgil and Patton began the long process of cleaning and drying Bear.
