Tw: refusing to eat, quick mentions of death

It was a Saturday so that meant no getting out of eating today. Well that was the plan but when it came to eating Virgil couldn't go through with it. "I'm not hungry," Virgil said.

Patton frowned, "You're getting thinner, are you sure you're not hungry?"

Virgil nodded as he stared at the plate in front of him, "Yeah."

"Virgil," Patton said with a slight beg, "please look at me." Virgil looked up and Patton could see how tired the man looked. "Are you lying to me?" Virgil glanced away and he looked like he was hiding something, he didn't make a sound. "Babe."

"Yes," Virgil whispered.

Patton's frown grew and he got up then hugged his boyfriend.

"I'm sorry for relapsing again," Virgil apologized.

Patton gave him a squeeze, "It's okay, just please be honest with me." He pulled away and smiled, "Let's get back on track for recovery."

"I," The emo paused, "I don't want to."

Patton was surprised. Sure Virgil had relapsed a few times before but whenever Patton found out he would be compliant about getting back into recovery. But now he was resisting, "What do you mean?"

"I don't want to eat," Virgil said, "I don't want to recover."

Patton frowned, "But what about being happy together?"

"We can still be happy, I just won't be eating."

"I can't be happy knowing that I'm letting you starve yourself." Virgil didn't say anything. "Virgil, please eat."

"What's the point, you already know from past experiences that I will just relapse. I'll never get better, you should give up on me."

Patton took his boyfriend's hand in his own, "I will never give up on you. I will help you until the day I die. You already know how awful it is, why would you want to go back?"

"To be thin."

"It's only temporary, you'll gain all the weight back and more when you eat again and if you don't ever recover you'll die," Patton told him, "Please don't leave me and please eat."

"I won't eat," Virgil said.

"Verge-" Patton began but was cut off.

"You're making me too anxious," Virgil warned.

Patton sighed and hung his head, "Okay, we're continuing this later."
