Tw: Mention of self harm scars

Virgil was anxious, as he was a lot. But usually he had a reason to be anxious, this time he did not. Patton, being the amazing boyfriend he is, was quick to notice how tense he was. Patton started to rub his back, "You want a back massage?"

Virgil was surprised by the words after they had been quiet for so long while they cuddled, "Oh um, sure I guess."

"You don't have if you don't want to," Patton reminded him.

"I know, I was just caught off guard," Virgil said.

Patton smiled at him and sat up, "You wanna take off your shirt? It'll be better if you do but it's totally okay if you don't."

Virgil thought about it for a second. Was he ready for Patton to see his body and scars? He was already not wearing his jacket which was a comfort item for him but his shirt too? Virgil finally spoke, "Okay, I trust you." Virgil pulled his shirt up and over his head.

Patton smiled, "I'm so proud of you." Virgil smiled shyly at him and rolled onto his stomach so Patton could do what he offered. Patton reached into his nightstand and pulled out a bottle of lotion. Patton began rubbing Virgil's shoulder until they were relaxed. Patton continued the massage down his boyfriend's back. When he had gotten all the way done with that he just continued the massage. He was enjoying taking care of his boyfriend and from what he could tell Virgil was enjoying it too.

The emo man had relaxed and let go of his fear of letting people see his body and scars. Instead of being worried about Patton touching him he was enjoying the contact. After awhile Patton's hands became sore so he stopped. He laid down and Virgil turned onto his side in his half-asleep state. Patton smiled at him and moved his hand to Virgil's hair. He scratched his boyfriends scalp and watched as he became even more relaxed and happy. Virgil's eyes closed all the way and they didn't open back up. Soft snores came from him and Patton smiled. He moved closer and shut his eyes so that he may fall asleep too.
