24~ Sidewalk ~24
Tw: Blood and cuts, quick mention of not eating
Virgil had turned around at the clock. He decided that he possibly couldn't have sprinted that far and so he must've went the wrong direction. In two hours he was back where he had been he decided to go left. He saw the sky began to get lighter. The sun was rising soon and that meant Patton would wake up. Virgil was growing increasingly weaker. He wasn't taking breaks anymore. He was too worried about scaring Patton. So he was walking faster. Virgil kept seeing black spots in his vision. He knew he couldn't go on much longer. But he also needed to get back. He got to where he had been attacked. He couldn't walk anymore. He fell to the ground. The sun was showing now. Patton was most definitely awake. He was an hour's walking distance away from home. He couldn't do this anymore.
He saw a car approaching that began to slow. There wasn't a stop sign nearby. Virgil would have been panicked if he had enough energy. The car stopped. That's when Virgil realized it looked familiar. The driver's door opened and out came Patton. "Virgil!"
Virgil's eyes lit up upon seeing who it was, "Patton!" He tried to stand up but fell again, thankfully Patton was there to catch him this time.
Patton frowned at Virgil's state, "Let's get you home." Virgil nodded and let Patton help him to the car.
Back at the house Patton got out the med kit and sat Virgil on the bathroom sink. Patton gently wiped the blood off of his face. There was a large cut above Virgil's right eye, most likely from when he fell down the first time. Virgil's hands had little cuts and scrapes all over them. Patton moved onto Virgil's knee. His pants had ripped there and we're now covered in blood. Patton rolled the loose pants up and over his knee. Virgil hissed in pain when Patton gently touched his knee with a wet cloth. "Sorry," Patton quickly apologized. He continued to clean the knee and then disinfected it. Patton put one of the large bandages on the joint then stood up. He kissed the top of Virgil's head, "So what happened?"
"I couldn't sleep so I went on a walk then someone attacked me and while getting away I got lost. I tried to get back but I went the wrong way and when you found me I was so exhausted that I couldn't walk anymore," Virgil explained.
"When did you leave and why didn't you bring your phone?" Patton asked.
"I left at midnight and my phone was nearly dead," Virgil answered, "It was supposed to be short and I was planning on coming back before one am."
"You've been out for over six hours?" Patton asked with concern lacing his words. Virgil nodded his head. Patton sighed and hugged Virgil, "I'll make you breakfast then we can cuddle."
"But you have work today," Virgil pointed out.
"I already told them that I couldn't come in when I saw you were missing."
"You didn't have to do that," Virgil said.
Patton raised an eyebrow, "My boyfriend wasn't here when I woke up and he didn't have his phone, there was no way I was going to work without finding you."
"I guess that is a good reason to not go to work." Patton nodded and kissed the top of Virgil's head. He picked Virgil up and carried him down to the table. Patton made sure to make something Virgil would like and that would also give him energy. Patton smiled as Virgil happily ate his food, seeing as how just last night Virgil had admitted to not eating lunch or breakfast. After breakfast was finished they went back into bed. Virgil was quick to cuddle into Patton's chest and for once he was the first one to fall asleep. Patton ran his fingers through his emo boyfriend's hair. He smiled at the man and his eyelids slid shut as he fell back asleep.
