It had been a couple of days since his student had told him to just tell Virgil how he felt. Patton had thought it over and decided that nothing bad could really happen, it might be a little awkward but things would eventually be okay. Patton woke up with Virgil cuddling into him. He smiled and held Virgil closer. He was really glad that Virgil liked to cuddle in his sleep and was okay with it when he woke up. Virgil stirred in his sleep and Patton watched with a soft smile as Virgil's eyes slowly opened. Virgil smiled back at him. Patton took a deep breath and gathered all his courage, "Hey Virgil?" There was no going back now, he had to do it.

"Yeah?"

Patton took another deep breath, "I love you."

"I love you too," Virgil responded, noticing how nervous Patton seemed to be but didn't want to get his hopes up.

"I'm actually in love with you," Patton continued, "I love you so much and I really want to date you."

Virgil felt his heart rate sped up, "Y-you do?"

Patton nodded and broke eye contact, "It's okay if you don't return my feelings and I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable."

Virgil grinned, "Patton I'm in love with you too and i'd be honored to date you."

Patton beamed, "You would?"

"Of course!" Virgil replied, smiling wider than he ever had before, "Pat will you be my boyfriend?"

Patton felt his heart explode from joy as the words left Virgil's mouth, "Only if you'll be mine."

"I'd love to," Virgil paused and bit his lip, "Can I kiss you?"

"Please do." Virgil leaned in and Patton leaned in the rest of the way. The kiss was slow, sweet, and perfect. They pulled away with fireworks in their chests. "You should probably know, the last couple of days that we've been cuddling I was awake when I cuddled you," Patton admitted.

"Same here," Virgil said.

Patton giggled and kissed Virgil again. They both had dopey grins and were ecstatic that their feelings were now out there and were returned.
