It was raining hard outside and so Patton and Virgil couldn't go on their usual Sunday walk. Virgil petted the puppies, who's eyes had started to open, while Patton made some hot chocolate. Patton sat down next to Virgil on the couch and awed at the small puppies and also secretly Virgil. Virgil sent him a small smile and took the mug. He had really missed the taste of the chocolaty liquid. At first they were content just listening to the rain pounding onto the roof. Then there was a lightning strike somewhere. Patton let out a yell and jumped a little bit. Thankfully he had finished his drink so nothing spilled. Another one striked and Virgil looked out the window with a smile as he saw it light up the sky. He looked over to Patton and saw how terrified the man looked. Virgil gently took his hand, "Are you okay?"

Patton shook his head, "I'm terrified of lightning." Virgil put the puppy he had been holding with it's siblings and scooted closer.

Virgil held out his arms, "You want a hug?" Patton nodded and quickly hugged Virgil. The emo hugged him back and rubbed soothing circle's into his back. Patton hid in Virgil's chest and slightly into his jacket. He jumped when he heard some thunder and Virgil gave him a reassuring squeeze. "It's going to be okay," Virgil whispered along with more reassuring words. Virgil kissed the top of Patton's head and held him tight. Patton smiled and felt calmer as he cuddled his friend. They stayed like that until the thunder and lightning stopped, both happy with the contact.
