Tw: Weight gain

Virgil was getting dressed for the day but as he pulled on his pants he realized that he no longer fit them. He tried another pair but even though they weren't supposed to be skinny jeans they were tight and even if Virgil did enjoy skinny jeans he didn't feel like wearing any today. Patton noticed his boyfriend frowning so he decided to ask, "What's wrong?"

"My pants don't really fit me anymore, I've gained too much weight," Virgil explained then corrected himself, "Well I haven't gained too much weight overall but it's too much to fit in my old pants."

Patton hummed and reopened his drawers and looked for a pair of pants that fit Virgil's style most. It ended up being that all of Patton's pants were bright colors and very much not Virgil. "Well I don't have any pants in your style but you can wear any of mine!" Patton offered. Virgil looked in the drawer and picked out a pair of light blue jeans.

Virgil pecked Patton's cheek. "Thanks Babe."

Patton kissed Virgil back but on the lips. "Anytime love." Virgil put on the jeans and they fit plus they worked with the black shirt Virgil was wearing. Virgil looked good but Patton knew how he loved wearing hoodies and he personally believed that Virgil could look even better if he wore one with his current outfit. Patton went into the closet and brought out a white hoodie with Good Enough written on it which was surrounded with a few roses. "Here, because you are good enough," Patton said as he handed the hoodie over to Virgil with a small smile. Virgil looked to the hoodie and back to Patton with a smile.

"You're so sweet," Virgil said before gently kissing Patton.

After work Virgil was looking at his phone while Patton laid on top of him with his face buried into Virgil's chest. In his phone screen Virgil could see his reflection and he ended up focusing more on that than the Tumblr posts he was reading. "Is it weird that I kinda miss the dark bags under my eyes?" Virgil asked randomly.

Patton lifted his head up to see Virgil's face, even if he would need to have his glasses on to see more than a blur. "What do you mean?" Patton questioned.

"Like I'm so used to seeing them but now that my sleep and health is much better they're nearly gone and it just doesn't feel right," Virgil explained.

Patton hummed as he thought about what Virgil told him and then he got an idea. Patton gasped and rushed to sit up. "I got an idea!" Patton stood up and tried to run to grab something but couldn't tell where the coffee table was and tripped over it, falling to the floor.

Virgil was quick to get up to Patton's side. "Are you okay?" Virgil worriedly asked.

Patton just laughed it off, mainly to calm any worries that Virgil might have. "I'm fine Love," Patton assured. Virgil muttered something that sounded like Thank God before putting on Patton's glasses for his boyfriend. "I'll be back," Patton told Virgil before standing up, still walking fast but more careful this time. Virgil was curious and slightly worried at what his boyfriend was planning but he trusted Patton.

Patton came back downstairs with a small eyeshadow palette and a single makeup brush. "You know how I used to wear makeup, right? Well I still do occasionally but that's not the point. I never really touched the black eyeshadow and if you miss the dark under eyes then why not just put it on with makeup?" Patton looked down as he continued to speak, "Now that I say it this sounds like a silly idea."

"It's a great idea, Patton," Virgil assured his lover. "Plus if I don't like it I can just wipe it off." Patton smiled and moved to sit in front of Virgil.

"Can I do it for you? I haven't been able to do makeup on someone in so long," Patton complained.

Virgil smiled at how Patton dragged his last two words. "Of course you can." Patton grinned and did some small, happy claps before grabbing the brush and dipping it into the hardly-used pigment. Patton was careful as he applied the makeup to his boyfriend's under-eyes and tried to make it look as nice as possible. It wasn't hard with it being one color and with Patton's experience. Patton sat back to admire his work and also how handsome Virgil looked overall. Virgil pulled out his phone and looked at himself in his camera and smiled. He leaned forward and pecked Patton's lips. "It looks amazing, thank you, Babe."

Patton smiled at the compliment but then his lips moved into a tight line and he looked to be thinking. Virgil tilted his head slightly, as if it could help him figure out what Patton was thinking about. "Now your face is edgy but your clothing reads like a soft boy." Patton only pouted more before he grinned at his idea. "I know something that I have that is sorta a dark color and you would look good in!"

Virgil stood in their bedroom, staring at the article of clothing that Patton held out to him. "Your cat onesie?" Virgil asked with a smile. Patton nodded with an excited and overjoyed smile. Virgil shook his head and chuckled before taking the onesie. "I'll wear it for you."

Once it was on Patton walked over and wrapped an arm around Virgil's waist. "Meow, you look purr-fect!"

Virgil let out a few chuckles and fondly rolled his eyes, "How did I know you were going to say that exact pun?"

"Well I'm paw-sitive that it's because you're an claw-some boyfriend that could never fur-get my love of puns," Patton said with his grin growing wider.

Virgil just shook his head this time, though he was still smiling. "You're lucky I love you."

"Yes I am," Patton agreed and pressed a sweet kiss to Virgil cheek. "Also you're keeping this on when Roman and Logan come over."

A knock sounded at the front door and immediately Bear ran over to it with Patton trailing behind. A few seconds later Logan and Roman were in the house and they had brought Chocolate, one of Bear's brothers, over so the two puppies could socialize. Immediately the dogs began to play with each other and it was clear how excited they were to see each other again. "Virgil, why are you wearing Patton's cat onesie?" Logan asked when he noticed Virgil stretched out on the sofa.

"It makes Patton happy and it's comfortable," Virgil answered with a shrug.

"And the eye shadow?" Roman questioned.

"Felt like it." Roman accepted the answer, believing that to be a good way to live life.

"How many cat related puns has Patton made since you put that on?" Logan asked, knowing that most likely it would be too many times to count.

"He's found a way to put a new cat pun in every sentence. It's both surprising and concerning how many he knows," Virgil responded.

"Oh paw-lease, it's not even close to a cat-astrophe. I'm feline fine! No need to be a scaredy cat over this!"

"Fucking Hell," Logan muttered then turned to his boyfriend. "If he continues I'm leaving."

Patton had to bite his lip to stop more puns from coming out. He took a deep breath to remove the puns from his system. "Okay. No more puns." Patton tried to repress another smile and a small laugh because all he could think of was puns. "Sad thoughts sad thoughts," Patton whispered to himself while trying to stop his puns.

"No," Virgil complained. "I like your puns and you don't deserve sad thoughts." Virgil used his wings to push himself off the couch and wrap Patton in a big hug that Patton had started to call an Angel Hug because of how their wings were involved and Virgil was his angel.

Logan's eyes widened as he stared at Virgil's magnificent wings. "Can I touch your wings?" Logan asked, already feeling the need to know everything about them.

Virgil extended one of his wings out to Logan, but kept the other one wrapped around Patton. "Go ahead." Logan gently ran his hand down the soft, white feathers. He felt the top of the wing and used both hands on both sides to feel the wing, looking for the bone structure of the wings or to see if they even had bones. Logan compressed the wing to see how far it would go and to see how it looked folded then stretched it out fully to see how far the muscles could go and how it would look.

"You're able to fly with these, correct?" Logan checked, receiving a nod for an answer. "May I see you fly for a few seconds?"

"Sure," Virgil responded before stepping back from his boyfriend and flapping his wings until he took off. With the low ceilings he had to curl in on himself to be able to get off the ground and he was nervous about flying with such little space.

"Amazing," Logan commented in a quiet voice. "Do you have any feathers that have fallen out naturally so that I may study them under a microscope? I wouldn't want you to pluck out one of your feathers out for me."

"When we first started to grow them one fell out from both of ours," Patton told Logan. "We might still have them." Patton looked over to Virgil, hoping that he knew where they had gone.

Virgil nodded. "They got put on your desk, I can go get them," Virgil offered. Patton thanked Virgil for the other and the adult emo went upstairs to retrieve the feathers. It didn't take long for him to come back down and to hand Logan the feathers. Logan looked like a kid with complete freedom in a candy store as he looked at the feathers he could now study.

"Awe someone's excited," Roman cooed.

Logan straightened his tie and removed his smile. "I just enjoy acquiring knowledge."

Roman smiled at his boyfriend and placed a kiss to his cheek. "Nerd."
