37~ Phone Call ~37
Tw: Mentions of anxiety, self harm, anorexia, and depression(these are all mentions, the worst is Virgil being anxious but it's not bad)
Virgil held the business card in one hand and his phone in the other. He was anxious of course. He hated phone calls and this was a serious call so that made him even more anxious. Patton peaked his head out of the kitchen, he knew Virgil was supposed to be calling Picani and was confused on why he hadn't heard anything yet. "Nervous?" Patton questioned. Virgil sighed and nodded. Patton smiled sympathetically at Virgil and walked back into the kitchen. He turned off the stove and placed a lid onto the pan so less heat would escape. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Patton asked as he sat down next to Virgil.
"Can you make the call for me?" Virgil asked and turned to face Patton as he frowned.
"Honey you have to make your own phone calls," Patton told Virgil. He wanted to help his boyfriend but he also knew that it would be good to push him sometimes. Virgil looked dejected and turned back to his phone. Patton couldn't take seeing Virgil's anxious and unhappy face so he took Virgil's phone out of his hand. "Okay I'll call for you but you'll have to work on making your own calls."
The corner of Virgil's lips turned up, "Thank you." Patton sent him a small smile back and pecked his lips.
Patton dialed the phone number on the business card and held the phone up to his ear. Virgil wrapped his arms around Patton's waist and watched as his boyfriend talk. "Hi this is Emile Picani right?" Patton greeted and paused as the person on the other end spoke. "Yeah the Ex-Deity of Animals gave my boyfriend your number saying that you were a therapist." Patton paused as Picani spoke. "Um," Patton pulled the phone away from his ear and made eye contact with Virgil. "Is there anything in specific you want to mention that you're dealing with?" Patton asked Virgil.
Virgil shrugged. "I guess just the self harm, eating disorder, anxiety, and depression."
Patton nodded and moved the phone back. "Yeah he has an eating disorder, depression, anxiety and self harms. Though he has been clean for a while." Patton nodded at another question that Picani asked and Virgil felt as Patton's arm that was loosely around him tightened. "Yes he has." There was a longer break. "Alright let me check." Patton took the phone away from his ear again. "He's asking what time would be best for an appointment. Do you have any preferences?"
Virgil shook his head. "I'm fine with anything."
"What times are you available?" Patton asked Picani through the phone. Patton listened as he was told what Emile was planning for appointments. "Yeah that works in our schedule." Patton nodded after a short pause. "Mhm, thank you and see you then!" Patton ended the call and smiled down at Virgil. Virgil smiled back and leaned up to kiss Patton.
"I'm sorry I have so many problems," Virgil apologized. "But thank you for helping me."
Patton cupped Virgil's face and sweetly kissed him. "You will never have too many problems for me and I will always love and support you." Virgil's smile grew and he nuzzled his face into the crook of Patton's neck.
"What did I ever do to deserve such an amazing boyfriend?" Virgil questioned.
"I've said it before and I'll say it again: amazing people deserve amazing things and you're the best thing in this world," Patton told Virgil to which the darkly dressed man smiled and hid his face in Patton's chest. Patton smiled down at him and kissed the top of his head. "I love you," Patton whispered against Virgil's hair.
"I love you too Patt," Virgil smiled back.
