34~ Tackle ~34
Roman and Logan were coming over to hang out again which they were all thankfully for. Life had been interesting to say the least with being angels and with Logan realizing just how much he needed the two in his life he wanted to make sure he let them know that he cares. Roman used his key to the house to unlock the door and they walked in. Patton was sitting on the couch and was playing with Virgil's hair, who was sitting on his lap. "Oh hey Ro-" Patton began to say but was cut off by Roman tackling him, and consequently Virgil too. Patton laughed after he registered what had happened, "I missed you too Ro."
"How do you know so much about mental health?" Roman immediately questioned as Virgil rolled off the couch, not wanting to be trapped.
"I used to want to be a therapist so I read a lot of psychology books on mental illnesses," Patton explained, "But then I realized that I would get too sad if I heard about everyone's sad situations everyday for a living and I liked working with children a lot more so I became a teacher instead."
Roman looked over to Virgil for confirmation, as the emo was around Patton in high school so he would've known at some point what Patton was planning on being when he grew up, "Is that true?" Virgil nodded.
"So why did you need to tackle me to ask that?" Patton asked.
Roman shrugged. "I didn't, I just wanted to and Logan couldn't stop me so why not."
Logan shook his head and pulled his boyfriend off of their friend. "Apologies, Patton. I told him not to and he said he wouldn't but you know Roman. He doesn't listen to logic too much."
"I listen to logic!" Roman defended. "Just not your kind of logic."
"So your irrational logic?" Logan questioned.
"Oh come on LoBerry, you love my logic. It's what brought us together in the first place and isn't that nice?"
Logan sighed in defeat, "You are right. I love you too much to not love your way of thinking even if it is far different than how I would process information and act on it. But I guess that is what makes us such a good pair." Roman grinned and held his arms out for a hug. Logan hesitated for a moment before stepping into his boyfriend's embrace, his head finding its usual place of being curled into Roman's shoulders.
Patton awed at his friends, "You two are so cute together."
Logan blushed, he was not fond of expressing his affection in front of others because of his lack of knowledge and experience with love and some days he was worse with love than others. "Shut up, I am not cute and I will not hesitate to fight you over that fact," Logan mumbled against Roman's shoulder but Patton still heard him.
"Aw Logan, I know you wouldn't fight me. You care about my safety too much," Patton pointed out.
"Sadl-" Logan cut himself off. "Of course I care. I care about all of you."
Virgil let a small smile rest on his lips and Patton's grin grew. "And we all care about you," Patton told him.
Logan pulled away from Roman and sent them all a small smile. He then cleared his throat and straightened his tie. "So uh, how about that weather." Roman chuckled and shook his head before sliding his hand into Logan's, using his thumb to rub comforting circles into Logan's skin. Logan glanced down and smiled at their hands and looked back to his friends with a small content smile. "How have you two been lately?"
They spoke for a while and at some point Logan and Roman were sitting on the couch diagonal to the one Patton was sitting on. Roman had an arm wrapped around Logan's waist and Logan was leaning back against Roman. Virgil had to get up to let Bear outside for a little bit but when he came back he laid down upside-down on the back of the couch, facing everyone. His shirt slipped down slightly, exposing a sliver of his pale stomach. Patton saw it before Virgil could move his shirt and so he placed a quick kiss to the warm skin then turned back to facing Roman and Logan again. Virgil smiled at Patton and moved to kiss Patton back but because of his poor balance he just ended up falling onto his neck.
He shook his head and silently chuckled after the initial shock. He placed a kiss to Patton's thigh before resting his head atop of it. Virgil smiled, happy with Patton's soft thighs as a pillow and the calm and lighthearted conversation his boyfriend and friends were having that he would occasionally say something in.
