16~ Done ~16
Tw: Suicide note is underlined then three lines after that it's said to be a suicide note. Casual mention of death in second to last line.
It was still sinking in that they had killed someone and that their task was done. They had checked the watch and it had stopped. So they knew they had done it. They stumbled into their home. They sat down on the couch, the envelope left behind was thrown onto the coffee table. They felt something that they couldn't tell what it was. Maybe it was the world cementing that they were alive again, making it so that when the timer would've ran out they wouldn't die. "Do we open it?" Patton questioned. Virgil focused his attention on the letter, it said for the first person to find it, but it didn't feel right to read it.
"I guess so," Virgil said and picked it up. He carefully opened the envelope and pulled out a letter with the same neat writing as on the envelope.
i Can't tell if i'll be sorry about this as i Can't tell the future. i'm sorry to anyone who Cared about me, i Guess all i can say is sorry. who am i kidding? no one cares about me. i'm worthless. not even my dad cares about me. he's too busy. no one loves me. i envy people who have found love. not that i care about that Dumb shit, i Hate love. all it does is cause pain. you give up everything to make people love you but it doesn't work. nothing works. maybe i'm going about it the wrong way. it's too late anyways. i'm gone. maybe i'll be reborn and given a second chance. maybe ill succeed this time at being great but i doubt it. once a loser, always a fucking loser. at least that's what she says.
Another message. Virgil read the letters that stood out, "C- C- C- G- D- H-"
Patton's eyebrows furrowed, "That doesn't spell anything."
"Why would they put a message that doesn't make sense in their suicide note?" Virgil questioned
"I don't know, maybe it does stands for something?" Patton guessed.
Virgil hummed and stood up so he could grab his phone to look up the letters. He hissed out in pain, catching Patton's attention. "Damn, I think my back is still stiff from being dead." Virgil tried to briefly rub his back where the pain was but it was too far up on his back for him.
"Virgil?" Patton sounded shocked. Virgil turned around and saw what Patton was looking at. A single white feather.
