Tw: mention of death

Slowly the footprints stopped looking like the creator of them was running and it turned to ones cause by walking. There were a few spots where the person had stumbled. The sun was low over the horizon. "Yo what the?" a familiar women's voice sounded. Patton and Virgil looked up and saw the woman from all that time ago when they had found Bear and her siblings. She was with another woman and five dogs of all sizes. "You two are dead."

"We're alive again," Virgil told her plainly, it was starting to be old to tell people that they were alive again.

"How?" the other woman asked.

"God is gay that's how," Virgil explained.

The lady from the adoption center gave them a weird look but accepted it. "Nice, I can be even more gay in heaven now."

"Not without me though, okay love," the other woman made sure of.

"I promise." They smiled and interlocked hands. The woman from the adoption center then turned to Patton and Virgil, "Oh I'm sorry, I don't think I introduced you. This is my wife, Jade."

Jade waved, "Nice to meet you. I'm sorry if my wife has creeped you out ever, she has a tendency to see people and then somehow know their sexuality. She does it a lot."

"So that's why she assumed we were together when we first met," Virgil asked.

Jade nodded, "Probably. I've asked her how she does it but she never gives me a straight answer-" Jade's words faded off and she seemed to have thought of something that shocked her, "Oh my god, Faith! You never give a straight answer because your not straight!"

The woman, now known to be Faith, jumped up in joy, "Yeah! You finally got it!"

"It's been fifteen years!" Jade yelled.

"And every second has been worth it!" Faith began to laugh.

"I don't whether to be proud or disappointed."

Faith tried to stop her laughter, "Please be proud, I've been doing this for so long you should at least be somewhat proud that I didn't give up."

Jade gave a fake groan, "Fine, I guess I'm proud."

"Proud enough to let us get another animal?"

"We already have five dogs and three cats!"

Virgil chuckled at the couple, "That's going to be us in the future."

"No it won't," Patton denied, "We'll have eight dogs because we can't have cats."

Faith gasped, "Wait does that mean you two are together now?"

Patton nodded, "Yep, he's the love of my life."

"That means that I've still never failed on my assumptions!"

Jade chuckled, "I think we need to go so I can wear Faith out more. Bye!" Patton and Virgil said goodbye and continued to follow the footprints.
