Tw: Mentions of murder

Virgil's breathing was becoming labored. "What do we do? They can get in, they can hurt you!"

Patton gave Virgil's hand a tight squeeze to bring attention to himself, "Virgil, slow down. Just breathe right now." Virgil took a deep breath and slowed his breathing. "They probably broke the lock on the door or they broke a window to get in." 

"But if it's Logan doesn't he have a key to get in?" Virgil questioned.

Patton shook his head, "No Roman has they key-" His face dropped. "He also has a typewriter that he doesn't like when anyone but him uses it."

"I've seen his handwriting it's messy, like the other letters."

"He loves hidden messages like the second letter."

The more the two thought the more they realized that the evidence could fit Logan and Roman. Roman loved murder mystery shows that would tell you where the killers went wrong and got caught.  "But what would be his motive?" Virgil questioned.

"I can't think of anything, we don't even know what Logan's motive would have been!"

Virgil tried to find anything that he could think of for motives. He went through the entire timeline of knowing the two. It was while he was thinking of his past and when he had gotten to the night he was attacked he realized something. The figure that was familiar was the same figure that attacked him. "Patton I think before they killed you they tried to kill me."

Patton tilted his head, "What?"

"You remember when I went out walking that one night and was attacked right? That's where I had seen them before. Whatever the reasoning behind killing you must've also applied to me."
