22. Dr. Harrison
Hayden admires her belly of pregnant woman who gradually begins to see itself. It's not huge but big enough to notice that she is pregnant.
She is now starting her third month of pregnancy and she feels wonderful. The nausea finally disappeared, and unlike tiredness she felt at first, she feels more fit than ever.
She smiles as she caresses her stomach, looking at her reflection in the mirror of the bathroom. This baby is a miracle, she thought she could never get pregnant again.
Oliver suddenly appears behind her and hugs her, laying his hands on her belly, his head resting on her shoulder.
"You're not ready yet?" He kisses her on the cheek and looks at their reflection in the mirror.
"No, I'm sorry, I can't take my eyes off this little belly," Hayden smiled, her hands resting on his.
"Our little girl," Oliver's hands stroked her belly gently as he smiled like a little boy waiting impatiently for his surprise.
"Why a girl? Maybe it's a boy?"
"No, it's a girl," Oliver replies at once. "And I hope she will have your eyes and your beautiful smile."
"And your incredible charm," she turns and passes her arms around his neck. She kisses him tenderly.
"Obviously," Oliver replies, laughing lightly. "We have to hurry, my love, we're going to be late."
It's true that they are expected at an evening at Dr. Harrison's home. Apparently several doctors and psychiatrists will be present.
It doesn't enchant her at all, but she still wants to accompany Oliver. She is so admiring when she hears him discussed psychology or medicine. She feels so proud to be with a man as respectable as him.
Hayden put on her red dress. She waists perfectly well, revealing her small round belly. She ties up her long red hair, makes up her eyes slightly and applies a red lipstick to her lips.
"I'm not so sure I want to go," Oliver said. He looks at her from top to bottom, his gaze slightly perplexed.
"I am ridiculous?" She asks, seeing Oliver's worried look.
"No, you're perfect," he answers, approaching her. "It's just... I don't know if I'll bear the look of other men on you."
"Oh baby, we don't care about others," She puts a hand on his cheek. She knows just how much Oliver can't stand another man looking at her. He is always anxious when they both go out.
"Maybe we should stay here, together," She sees in his look that he is already worried, but she wants to prove to him that he has nothing to fear.
"Oliver, everything will be fine," she smiled warmly, trying to reassure him. "I'll stay close to you."
"You know what's going to happen if not?" He threatened, as if he warned a little girl before she made a fool of it.
Hayden nods slowly. Of course she knows it.
When she doesn't act as he would, she must undergo his angry behavior. And in general, he discharges his anger to bed, when he makes love to her, as if to prove that she's his and that it's he who dominates and controls their relationship.
She knows she will not be able to change that personality in him, so she goes in his direction.
"You're splendid, sweeheart," Oliver kisses her passionately, lowering his hands on her buttocks.

Half an hour later, they arrive at the evening organized by Dr. Harrison.
It's a very large house, a manor rather, from the point of view of Hayden. They climb about twenty steps and arrive directly in a large hall where there are hundreds of people having a drink, to discuss.
There is a large platform where an orchestra plays jazz on their right, and a large bar at the back of the room, facing them, where a few people crowd to be served.
"This house is huge," Hayden said loudly, leaning her head towards Oliver so he could hear. Difficult to talk with this music.
"I told you this guy was arrogant," he answers, his hand in her lower back. He encourages her to move towards the bar.
As they move quietly, the great Dr. Harrison walks up to them, arms wide open and a smile on his lips.
"Ah, Dr. Thredson, what a pleasure!" He exclaimed as they shook hands politely.
"Nice to see you, Dr. Harrison," Oliver replies. Hayden can hear a tip of sarcasm in his voice and it makes her smile.
"And I see that you have brought the magnificent and dazzling, Mrs. Thredson," he said, looking at her seductively, laying a kiss on her hand.
Hayden just smiles at him, she feels uncomfortable in the presence of this man.
"I wasn't going to come without my wife," Oliver said with a smile. He looks into her and puts a kiss on her lips.
Hayden feels his hand in her back descend on her buttocks and tightly clasps them. He wants to show that she belongs to him, she knows. A typical behavior at Oliver.
"Obviously, and I'm very happy to see her again," Harrison looks into her, an arrogant smile. "But I didn't know you were going to be a father, Thredson."
Hayden lowers her head to look at her belly, Oliver puts a hand on it and caresses it gently smiling.
"Indeed, I had forgotten to tell you," Oliver looks at him smiling, his eyes proud and satisfied. "A little girl."
"No, Oliver is convinced it's a girl but in truth we don't know sex yet," Hayden corrected, laughing lightly.
"I'm sure she will be as beautiful as her mother," Oliver continues, passing a hand on her cheek. She knows that he exaggerates the situation in order to make Harrison uncomfortable and it works, for he looks rather exasperated.
"I see," Harrison said simply, glancing at Oliver. "Anyway, pregnancy is going to delight you, Hayden."
"Thank you,"
"Okay, I'll go see our other guests," Harrison continues. "I'll let you enjoy the evening."
Later in the evening, Hayden and Oliver quietly savored their drinks at the bar. Oliver sits on a stool and holds her in his arms, against him. She has her arms around his neck and they laugh at everything and nothing.
As Hayden's gaze gets lost in the room, she notices that Harrison is looking at her, he is in the middle of the room with a glass in his hand. He raises his glass towards her, a malicious smile on his lips.
"All right, sweeheart?" Oliver asks, taking her chin in his hand to turn her head towards him.
"Yes, I was just lost in my thoughts," Hayden answers, forcing herself to smile. She kisses him tenderly and turns her head again towards Harrison, but he is no longer there.
As they start talking again, Hayden sees Oliver's gaze grow harder and his expression annoyed. She turns around and sees Harrison coming towards them.
"Dr. Thredson, there's someone I'd like to introduce to you," he said, pointing at a man waving to them.
Oliver gets up and takes her hand, but Harrison stops him.
"Preferably, alone," said Harrison, smiling.
"I would like to-"
"I'm staying with your wife," interrupted Harrison.
Oliver hesitates a moment. He still holds her hand. He looks at Harrison for a moment, then he approaches her.
"I'm watching you," he whispers to Hayden's ear, suspiciously.
He glares at Harrison and then walks away. Harrison gets closer to Hayden, which makes her suddenly suspicious.
"Did I tell you how lovely you are?" He said, looking at her up and down.
"Yes, and it's getting awkward," she replies coldly.
"Since the first time I saw you, I keep thinking about you,"
"I'm flattered, really, but I'm married, do you remember?" Replied Hayden.
"Yet, I don't see a wedding ring on your finger,"
"I consider myself so, I'm flattered by your advances but I love Oliver," As she plans to go, Harrison grabs her by the arm and tells her to stay by his side.
"Did I say I was finished?" He throws a threatening look at her. "Oliver must be such a boring man, I see him in his way of working, that's not what you need."
"If you believe for a moment that you interest me, you are wrong,"
"And yet if you knew, I can be very persuasive," he said in a naughty voice. He drops his hand down Hayden's back. She feels a sense of disgust and violently rejects his hand.
"Don't touch me, you pig!"
"You don't understand, I want you and I will have you," he threatens a smirk drawing on his lips.
"I think you don't know who you have to do," Hayden said, looking at him wickedly. "And I hope for you that you will have to do to Oliver, because if it's me, I will slice your throat like the big pig that you are."
Hayden takes her bag and hurries to join Oliver.
Something tells her she's not done with that asshole.
