21. The Last One Informed

Oliver Thredson is in his office, he finishes a session with one of his patients. He is writing a few notes and prescribing a new treatment more suited to his mental disorder.

After finishing his notes, Oliver gets up and approaches a young man sitting on the other side of his desk. He puts a hand on his shoulder and smiles warmly at him.

"Come on, Steve, I'll take you back to the common room," he said, the young man slowly getting up. "Next meeting, Monday."

Oliver points him to the office door gently. They cross a long corridor and then they arrive in the hall. His eyes suddenly land on a woman at the entrance of the asylum chatting with Dr. Harrison, a new doctor arrived earlier this week.

The woman has her red hair tied, she wears a dress, the top is blue and slightly diving, and the bottom of the dress is black, split on the side. She wears black heels, sublimating her long legs.

As the woman looks at him, Oliver realizes it's Hayden. She has eyes slightly made up and the lips colored by a red lipstick. She is just breathtaking. A real woman.

But what is she doing here? He nevertheless closed the door this morning. At least, it seems to him. He doesn't want her to go out without him, she knows.

She gives him a quick wave of her hand, a beautiful smile on her lips, and then continues to talk to Dr. Harrison. He tells her something that makes her laugh, which deeply annoys Oliver.

This man is very kind and Oliver must admit that he practices his profession perfectly. But nothing but the fact that he is staring at his wife and making her laugh, that he attracts attention, disturbs him.

Besides, he's a handsome man. As tall as he, brown hair, blue eyes. He is charming. Oliver is certain that Hayden loves this kind of men. He feels a sense of jealousy, as he watches them talk with too much interest, according to him.

Oliver tries to control his anger and focuses his attention on his patient. He walks with him to the entrance of the common room. He can't seem to take his eyes off Hayden.

"Here, Steve," Oliver said, not really looking at his patient. "Don't forget, I see you Monday at 3pm."

The patient nods and walks away. Oliver looks into the common room and sees Sister Mary Eunice walking towards him with a smile.

"Here's Steve's new treatment," he said, giving her a paper with some notes on it.

"Thank you, but I think that soul is incurable," she said arrogantly, looking at the paper.

Oliver looks at her with contempt and turns his head towards Hayden, still talking to the other bastard. He breathed a great blow to calm his nerves and he made a determined step towards them.

But Sister Mary Eunice stands in front of him, barring the way.

Oliver sighs, annoyed. What else does she want?

"What joy!" She exclaimed. She smiles at him and then looks at Hayden. "Congratulations."

"Sorry?" Oliver asks, frowning, lost. "I think I don't follow you."

"For your little girl," says Sr. Mary Eunice, pointing to Hayden with a nod. "You didn't waste any time, first Lana, now Hayden, you make sure your descendants, BloodyFace."

"A little girl?" He asks, confused. "Hayden is pregnant?"

"Didn't you know?" Asks Sr. Mary Eunice, a sly smile on her lips. "Come on, Dr. Thredson, tummy fall, nausea, mood swing, you didn't notice? And you say you're a doctor."

On these last words, Sister Mary Eunice goes away laughing.

So Hayden is pregnant? This arrogant Sister Mary Eunice hadn't been mistaken for the pregnancy of Lana. She had even planned to be a boy. Oliver is convinced that she is also right for Hayden.

Everything is explained. Her fall in tension the evening of Lana's death, the fact that she no longer wants alcohol and that she no longer smokes.

Why didn't the doctor who examined her during her hospitalization tell him anything? And why did she say nothing? She is necessarily aware.

Oliver is divided between an immense joy and a slight irritation. The joy of being soon a father and irritated that she didn't tell him anything.

He made a decided step toward Hayden and Dr. Harrison, his eyes black. He grabs Hayden by the arm, and a forced smiles at Harrison.

"Oh, baby, we were just talking about you," Hayden said, smiling.

"You'll tell me so much," Oliver replies, his eyes fixed on Harrison.

"You have a delightful wife, Dr. Thredson," Harrison said, but he looked at Hayden. He takes her hand and places a kiss on it.

"Yes, and I would need to talk to her privately," Oliver said, taking Hayden's hand quickly. Nothing but seeing this asshole touching her makes him mad, he could kill him.

"In my office, right now," whispers Oliver, in a dry tone, in Hayden's ear. The latter gives him a puzzled look.

"It was a pleasure," said Hayden, smiling at Harrison. Oliver forces himself to smile too and he drags Hayden with him.

Oliver held her firmly by the arm, and dragged her to his office.

"Can I know what you're doing here?" He asks whispering. They go slowly through a long corridor.

"You forgot to lock the door this morning," she answers, whispering, trying to keep up with his footsteps. "I thought I was going to visit you at work."

"By talking with this asshole?" He asks, jealous. He stops and releases her arm while they are in the middle of the corridor.

"He just came to talk to me," Hayden answers, leaning against the wall.

"Well I don't want you to speak to him!" He whispers a little too loudly. He puts both hands on the wall behind her and looks at her wickedly. "I don't want to see him prowling around you, you're mine, Hayden."

"You don't have to worry, he doesn't interest me," she retorts crossing her arms. "There is only you."

Hayden puts a hand on his cheek and she kisses him languorously. They kiss for a long time, pressing his body against her. Feeling her tongue caress his own, suddenly harden his cock.

"In my office, we need to talk," Oliver said, breaking their hungry kisses.

Once in his office, Oliver closes the door behind him. Hayden sits in his chair and lays her legs on his desk.

"How long has it been?" He asks, hands in the pockets of his pants. Hayden looks at him confusedly.

"Excuse me?" She asks in turn, frowning.

"I know you're pregnant, Hayden." He replies. "What I want to know is, how long has it been?"

Her face suddenly clenched. So she really meant to hide him, she didn't expect him to know about it.

"I don't know, about a month and a half..." she answers without looking at him.

"A month and a half, and you didn't tell me?" Exclaims Oliver, laying his hands on the desk, leaning towards her. "Why?"

Hayden passes a hand on her forehead, ashamed. "I didn't know how to tell you."

"You were counting on an abortion too?" He asks, horrified.

"No,"

"Then why did you hide it from me?" He asks, lost.

"Because I am afraid!" She yelled as she got up and clapped her hands on the desk.

A silence settles in the office, and they look at each other for a long time.

Hayden walks up to him and he takes her in his arms. It's true that he hadn't thought she could be frightened by this new pregnancy.

"I'm here for you, sweeheart," he said, kissing her on the forehead. "Everything will be fine, I'm so happy that you give me a child."

"But I'm so anxious,"

"You must not," Oliver reassured her. "You have to be relaxed for the baby, I'll take care of both of you, you'll see."

Hayden looks at him, smiling warmly. She kisses him tenderly.

"Besides, I know a way to relax you," he suggests, a naughty smile. He kisses her passionately.
