Chapter Six
After a few hours of walking around the pack grounds we decided it was time for lunch. Alex decided we to go his mother's house for lunch.
We walked inside the cozy house, it being cluttered like it was lived in and it made me feel warm and happy. My house was like a display home, neat and clean. Almost sterile as it had to be presentable.
"Hi mom." Alex says kissing her cheek. She smiles back at him and turns to Avery and I.
"Hi Avery!" She says and Avery returns the greeting. "And you must be Emma. You are even more beautiful than I thought you would be."
My cheeks redden at her compliment as I was not use to them.
"Is everyone good with BLTs for lunch?" She asked and we all nodded.
We sat down and she prepared our food. She finished and we started eating the delicious food.
"Can I just say dear. You have the most beautiful eyes. Calming eyes." His mom said to me.
"Thank you. I could say the same about your house. So warm and inviting." I said to her. She grabbed my hand and held it.
"You remind me of someone. Someone that's been gone a long time." She said, tears pooling in her eyes.
I didn't know what to say honestly. She just walked away, smiling at me and started to clean up.
"Your mom is lovely Alex." I say to him, smiling.
"Yeah, what happened with you." Avery said. I couldn't help but laugh. "Maybe she dropped you on your head."
"Why are you girls bullying me in front of my dear sweet mother?" He pouts.
"You deserve a good bullying." Alex's mom says which make Avery and I burst out in laughter.
"Mom!" She laughs at him. He sighs and gets up from his chair.
"Thank you for dinner mam."
"Oh please call me Julia. None of this mam stuff it makes me seem old." She says. Giving me a big smile and hug. "Now, I've known Theo his whole life and he is very stubborn but he is worth it. I hope he comes around because you seem worth it too."
"Actually, Theo wants me to take Emma to him." Alex says. "He just mind-linked me."
"What?" I say, surprised. "Why?"
"I don't know he just said to bring you to his office to talk about something." Alex says. "Without Avery."
"Good luck my dear." Julia said, walking away. "Give Theo a big wack in the head for me."
"Guess I'll go stop by the training ground and see if they need anything." Avery said, walking away as she gave me a slight smile.
I prepare myself as we go inside the pack house, making our way upside and Alex stops at a door, knocking on it.
A deep voice tells us to come in. A voice belonging to Alpha Theo.
"Alex leave us be." Alpha Theo says to him and he obeys. "Emma, sit."
I sit in a seat in front of his desk. I was scared. Was he going to reject me?
"I would like you to join my pack and move here." He says and my mouth drops. "I realize I can't get to know you if you are living somewhere else. I have a room being prepared for you and I want to move in there in the next few days."
"But..." I didn't even know what to say. He said all that with little to no emotion.
"Please." For the first time since I met him I saw a twinkle of emotion in his eyes. "I mean my pack needs a female leader for them. Not saying I am accepting you yet but you can at least get to know my people."
I though about it. Leaving my pact to join this one. Leaving my parents. I couldn't help but feel happy to. To leave it all behind and start fresh. Even in the short time I've been here I have felt more at home than ever.
"I will. With one condition." I say. "That I can train with the fighters. I am not allowed to back home and I want to learn how to depend myself or someone else."
He smiles at me. I feel butterflies as the first time I have seen his beautiful smile.
"Deal."
"I guess I'll go home tomorrow and pack. It's going to be tough making my parents agree with it." I said.
"They can come here at check it out-"
"No!" I quickly exclaimed. "I mean, just, they won't understand. I don't need a few days I'll be here ready to move in tomorrow."
"Okay.." He said, seeming confused. I bit my lip as to not blurt out all of my problems. My problems being my parents. "Well, just come to me whenever you get here tomorrow and I will get you settled in. You are free to leave now."
I got up and opened the door.
"Thank you Alpha Theo." I said to him before leaving.
He looked up at me, confused.
"For giving me a chance." I said, smiling at him.
"Call me Theo." He said.
I left to go inform Avery. Alex was sitting in the living room, with Bryan.
"Emma! Thank god I saw you before I leave tonight." Bryan said, jumping out of his seat, walking over to me. "I wanted to apologize for last night. It was not good first impression. I am an Alpha and Alphas do not act that way."
I laugh at his seemingly rehearsed speech.
"No hard feelings. I think everyone was off yesterday honestly. Full moon tonight actually." I said to him.
"Oh shit you are right." He said. "You are very forgiving and next time I come I am going to make it up to you. Since you live here now."
"Oh, so you know about that." I say.
"Yes, you do you think talked him into it?" He grins at me. "I cannot wait to see you again little brunette. I have a strange feeling that we are going to be good friends." He said, leaving Alex and I.
Alex grinned at me. "I am so glad you are staying here Luna. We all have this sense of greatness from you."
I looked at him and wondered what he meant. I did not think I was great or had greatness in me. I am just a ordinary werewolf. I was meant to be ordinary, as being different was frowned upon where I came from.
"I told Avery you were done and she is coming to get you. I have work to do so I will see you later?" He said and I nodded my head. He jogged away towards the stairs.
I cannot believe this was going to soon be my new home. I was already making friends and meeting the kindest people I have ever met. I knew that getting through my parents would be a mess and they were not going to let me leave without a fight. They had a plan for me and I was going off path. I did not care anymore.
For the first time in my life I felt apart of something. Felt close to people.
"Hey Emma." Avery said, walking over to me. "How did it go? What did want?" She said, waiting for my answer.
"I am moving here tomorrow, to this pack." I said, a smile coming to my face.
Avery started jumping up and down screaming in excitement.
"I am so excited to have you here. Are you okay with leaving your old pack?" Avery said. "Honestly from what I saw from the night we met, you did not seem close to your father."
"I am so excited to get away. I love my parents, but they are so controlling. I did not fit in with them."
"Well, let's go celebrate!"
