Chapter 9

Yuri looks down at the floor while sitting in her favorite class, English, not at all paying attention to the lesson. She's not reading or on her phone or anything, she's just staring and not focusing on anything around her. She can't help it, this whole week she's been wracked with grief, fear, worry, every second of the day she just felt completely unsettled.

The class eventually was over and Yuri sighed, getting up and taking her bag, pushing past as many people as possible who are all eager to leave the school. Yuri leaves to the bathroom in a rush, knowing that not a single person on campus would dare use them over their own homes.

She walks inside and looks around first to make sure no one is around despite knowing most don't come in here. She goes to a stall and locks herself inside, ignoring all the horrible profanities and any graffiti that's been put on the toilet stall. Dropping her satchel on the ground and practically ripping her sleeves down to look at her wrists that aren't bandaged anymore.

Yuri sees new wounds again, she's slipped up a couple times this last week in all the stress and worry she's been having. It's not as bad as it once was, but she has a few new cuts that weren't even close to healing yet. She was breaking down, but how could she not be when Natsuki hasn't come to school in a full week..?

Yuri and the rest haven't heard from Natsuki at all in any way since the club time on Friday. Yuri had waited for over an hour on the rooftop for Natsuki to come to meet her but she never did. When she messaged the group chat if they'd seen Natsuki they all said no and figured she was with Yuri at the time talking things over with her.

It's been over a week of Yuri asking her friends and even strangers in public and at school if they'd seen Natsuki anywhere but most denied ever even having seen someone like that their whole life. Yuri wasn't sure if they were lying or being honest but regardless all the frustration of not knowing where Natsuki was took its toll on her. It all pushed Yuri far over the edge causing her tp cut despite promising Natsuki she wouldn't anymore.

Yuri took some breaths, she left her knife at home today, deciding that she's going to try a little harder at least to prevent inflicting anymore harm on herself. She isn't sure what she should do anymore, she can't imagine going through another week like this, naive to the fate her friend has been dealt because Yuri waited too long to confront her earlier.

"I miss her..." Yuri mutters, gripping her wrist and picturing Natsuki in her mind, recalling back to that day they spent baking together, "I miss her so... so much."

Her nails start to dig into her arms, easily breaking skin and making her wince, she stops herself quickly, her grip loosening. She stares at her arms, feeling like she's about to cry at the sight of them before she just gets up from the toilet seat, leaving the stall and rolling her sleeves down at the same time. Yuri walking out of the restrooms and making her way to the literature club, going through so many stages of grief all at once.

Truly she has begun to lose control of her emotions, but she won't allow this to continue on, if she cannot control herself anymore or at the least focus, she'll take that and use it to find Natsuki. Walking into the literature club and finding Monika and Sayori there but not MC for some reason.

Sayori looks over at Yuri who's an absolute mess, "Yuri? There you are! Me and Monika thought that it-"

"Monika..." Yuri calls, she's not exactly angry so to speak but she doesn't sound like she's in the greatest mood at the moment either, "Natsuki isn't here today again... is she?"

Monika sighs and shakes her head, disappointment and worry in her eyes, "Yuri, look I know you're worried but well... maybe she's just sick..?" she suggest, Monika knowing that isn't the case at all but also not wanting any of her other friends to get hurt anymore.

Yuri doesn't have any time for these games, rolling her eyes at her club president, "Monika... what's her address?" she asks, not caring what the consequences for this may be.

"Um... Well it's a few streets down from yours? House 614 on 5th street-wait, why are you asking anyways?" Yuri gives Monika a glare, clenching her fists and already leaving the literature club just as quickly as she had gotten there.

Monika hurries after the enraged yandere, Sayori following as well, "Why do you think, Monika?! I'm going to make sure everything is okay with her obviously!" she states, Monika and Sayori walking with her just a little bit behind, looking at one another worried.

They've never seen Yuri really... angry, before. Even when she and Natsuki would fight, Yuri has never gotten this intense before. If Monika and Sayori didn't know any better they'd think that their friend is about to commit murder at this point.

"Okay but Yuri, even if something is wrong, what are you going to do?! Kidnap Natsuki and keep her at your place?!" Monika demands, trying to grab Yuri's hand but missing when she pulls away, having seen that coming.

She whirls around and glares at her friends, "If that's what it takes then yes... I'll carry her out of there kicking and screaming if I learn something sinister is going on. I feel like I'm going insane here not knowing whether Natsuki is safe or not!" she exclaims, Yuri's eyes looking crazy, almost psychotic if you will.

Monika is about to says something against it but suddenly is stopped when Sayori takes her club president's arm, looking up at Monika and shaking her head. She freezes but overall gives in, sighing in defeat as Yuri storms away, Monika looking back at Sayori clearly worried.

"This isn't going to end very well... is it?" Sayori asks, knowing well enough the rage and anger that she's going through.

"I don't think so... but I also don't think that we should interfere with them. As much as I want to, I know how... intense Yuri can get. And besides, I don't think Yuri would like us getting in her way," Monika mutters, knowing thanks to multiple resets just how dangerous Yuri can get when becoming unhinged.

Sayori's chest gets tight but she doesn't say anything else, holding Monika's arm more. Hugging her friend close as they both watch Yuri leave the school, unknowing just what it is that she's planning on doing to find Natsuki again...

...

Yuri had left her friends and instead returned home, grabbing all sorts of things such as bandages, disinfectant, any medical supplies she needed and of course, retrieving her knife. Yuri hopes she doesn't need this but she knows better than to leave herself unarmed when Natsuki's father is a cop as she was told.

The violet haired woman looks around herself as she walks down this unexplored neighborhood. Arriving at 5th street as she quietly reads out the numbers of each house to herself, searching for Natsuki's residence.

"609... 611, 613, and there," she mutters, her eyes locking on to the black iron numbers hung on a seemingly nice looking place.

She walks up to the door and looks around, cautiously, she peeks into any windows she can but finds that all of them are shut from any wandering eyes with curtains. None of this is too suspicious just yet to Yuri however, backing away and looking around for any lights on inside of the upstairs.

She doesn't see anything but Yuri knows someone is home as there's still a car in the driveway. There's few stores close by as far as Yuri is aware and of course the school is a near half hour walk and that's if you're hurrying.

She decides to just go to take a look inside, not caring about who owns this house or more so the privacy of this person. Expecting the door to be locked, she tries to open the door and finds the knob unmoving. Looking down, she reaches into her bag and takes out her small but very sharp pocket knife that MC had cut himself on weeks prior.

Carefully angling it into the keyhole and trying to insert it, it takes some time but eventually the sharpness of the blade is able to scrap far enough inside the lock that she can lift and turn the mechanisms within. Gently, she turns the knob and opens the door as quietly as she can, not a single creak being made in doing so.

She's about to creep inside but stops, her face contorting to disgust as she's overwhelmed by a waft of what's undoubtedly alcohol. She holds her hand over her mouth and nose, gasping to herself as tears prick her eyes.

'T-That smell is awful! B-But Natsuki doesn't drink, perhaps it's the wrong home?' Yuri thinks, coughing into her sweater before eventually getting enough resolve to push past the intoxicating smell.

She walks in but doesn't close the door, the house is in darkness save for the living room that's illuminated by an eerie blue and whitish glow. While holding her breath, Yuri looks around the corner of the room, she doesn't hear anything but the TV playing but she sees a pair of boots hanging off the edge of a couch. Someone is indeed here, but even so she has no idea if this is actually Natsuki's father or some random stranger.

About to go and look upstairs before something catches Yuri's eye, looking into the kitchen, she squints into the darkness. There's chains on the fridge and nearly a dozen locks on it, there's all sorts of locks on the draws and a few are straight up nailed shut as well. Some of the cabinets are even missing their doors entirely to show they're empty inside with no food residing in them.

Yuri just stares for awhile, putting the pieces together, she forgets entirely how badly her nose burns from the alcohol infused air as shock slowly begins to set in. She wasn't convinced she was in the right house before but now, she knows she isn't mistaken. Natsuki isn't anorexic or on a low carb diet, she's being starved...

Yuri's anger is rekindled but for now, she ignores it and hurries quietly past the living room and nightmare kitchen. Crawling up the stairs, pleading for none of the steps to creak as she heads upwards, even sighing out in relief when she manages to do so without issue. She looks through as many rooms as she can, going into an extra guest room, bathroom, and what seems to be an office that is exceedingly messy until coming to the last two doors.

The one to her right seems odd, there's a few scratches on it and what seems to be small blunt forced damage on it as well as if someone had pounded on it.

"Please... Please let Natsuki be in here... let her be okay, please... please!" Yuri whispers, taking the door handle and carefully, she unlocks it from the outside.

Opening it up, she looks around, it's pitch black inside and there's not even a window to let any outside light in. Yuri reaches into her bag and takes out her phone, turning its flashlight on and lighting up the entire room immediately.

It's small, really small, a tiny and less then ideal mattress takes up most of the space with no frame to support it. There's only a small basket in the corner with clothes in it and a desk with a chair in the other corner that had a few papers and pens strewn about but that was the only normal thing in the room.

However, Yuri cannot take her eyes off of the small curled up little lump on the coverless mattress. There's a small pink and red blanket covering something that's almost entirely still but there's some very hoarse and low raspy breathes. Yuri's heart plummets, she knows what's underneath that blanket, quietly closing the door behind her and dropping to her knees to crawl towards the bed.

"N-Natsuki?" Yuri calls quietly, the raspy breathing sputtering suddenly as the lump in the blanket twitches.

Yuri takes the blanket and rips it away quickly, looking down and seeing that her suspicions was correct almost to a T. Natsuki laid there on her mattress, she's half naked with only her bra and panties on and all of her mangled horrific body on display for Yuri to see in the most visible way possible.

Yuri is speechless, she doesn't know what to say or do, just gazing at Natsuki's poor curled up from that shivers when the air touches her skin. She's somehow skinnier then before, even looking paler than before as if she's already dead but maybe that's just Yuri's flashlight shining on her. Her face is dirty and her body is now riddled with wounds, small but dark bruises and worse a few scraps and even cuts on her thighs and her back.

Yuri just... stares. She's horrified, hurt, and incredibly angry right now, but she can't show any of it. No tears, no rage blinded eyes, no shouting or pleading for this to all be a lie, nothing.

She drops her phone and touches Natsuki, gently shaking her awake, "Natsuki, N-Natsuki, please wake up!" she calls, no longer bothering to be quiet.

She groans and suddenly starts to cry, weeping to herself and not opening her eyes no matter what. Her lips quivering and the girl pulling away from Yuri's soft touch, unable to determine it's even her.

"S-Stop, stop, go away! No more... leave me alone p-papa I-I..." she winces and somehow manages to curl up even further, Yuri's heart breaking when she hears her say, "Let me die already at least..."

This, this is the final breaking point for Yuri, grabbing the pinkette and picking her up, making her sit on her knees and pulling her into a hug. Natsuki winces at her and cries out more, not able to distinguish a loving touch from pain.

"Natsuki... Natsuki, enough," Yuri says with an almost eerie calm to her voice, "I'm not your papa, I will NEVER be your papa..." she mutters, brushing her fingers over Natsuki's back and massaging her wounds caringly.

Natsuki's whining slowly stops, her eyes cracking open as she looks to the side, seeing someone with a school uniform on and shuddering at such a soft kind touch running down her cut up and bruised back. She leans away, light headed and looking up to see Yuri...

Yuri is here. She's actually sitting right here in front of her, in the darkness of her cold room, holding and caressing her into a hold that can't possibly be anything less of loving.

"Yu... Y-Y-Yuri..?" Natsuki says confused, the girl in front of her nodding and reaching up, holding Natsuki's face.

Her hands are warm, they're so very warm, Natsuki's face burning from how cold she is at the moment.

"Yes, Natsuki, it's me. It's really me, this isn't a dream or fictional, I'm here," Yuri says as assuringly as she possibly can, trying to be quiet still and looking into Natsuki's eyes, somehow managing to smile reassuringly.

Natsuki looks at her friend, astonished. This couldn't be happening could it? She thought this was it, she felt so hungry, so thirsty, and cold as well. She hadn't seen sunlight for days, she was convinced everyone had simply forgotten about her. But Yuri was here. Really here, holding Natsuki's face and smiling at her as if everything was finally over and okay!

This was it... Natsuki's went from amazed to ugly crying in an instant, starting to wait loudly as a result. Yuri pulled Natsuki in for another hug, muffling her in her shirt at the same time as the weak starved pinkette grabs at Yuri's clothes. She gladly embraced Natsuki, warming her frozen body with hers as she started to cry silently herself, refusing to make anymore noise than Natsuki is.

She was fast with her breakdown, shockingly enough. Pulling away and looking at Yuri again, touching her all over as if not believing that this was actually her!

"W-What... why?! Why are you here..?" she asks, Yuri still crying but just glad she found Natsuki after a full week of worry and fear.

"I came to take you! Take you away from here, Natsuki. I..." Yuri pauses and looks away, gulping and closing her eyes, suddenly ashamed, "I... had a feeling something was wrong. More than you being sick or something normal and well..." she stops, not sure that she should explain everything to Natsuki right now.

"You... you knew something was wrong..? B-But how, I don't-" Yuri wipes her eyes quickly and holds Natsuki's shoulder silencing her.

"L-Look! It doesn't matter right now, Natsuki, right now we just... we need to go. I'm not allowing you to stay here any longer, and that man will never touch you ever again. Do you understand?" Yuri says, becoming much more serious now which startles Natsuki a little.

She stills nods regardless, covering her chest up now that she realizes how close Yuri is to her. She seems satisfied with just a nod, getting up and grabbing Natsuki's blanket, noticing now that the red parts of the cover aren't actually a pattern, but instead dried blood.

She brushes it off for later, deciding to wait for her rage to build up, already thinking of a better revenge plan in mind and instead just covering Natsuki with the blanket.

"I'm sorry, I don't have anything for you to wear, we can find you something better fitting back home-" Yuri gasps when Natsuki lunges into her chest, throwing her entire weak and frail self onto her.

"Thank you..." Natsuki mutters, choking out to Yuri, "T-Thank you..." followed by many sniffles and stifled sobs as Yuri just complies with hugging her back, allowing the pinkette to indulge in as much warmth and safety as she needs before they leave this hellish place once and for all...

...

Natsuki spent a good while crying and hugging Yuri, thanking her and not at all fighting against any of her plan to be taken away from this place. However, the bittersweet moment was forced to end when Yuri stopped the pinkette before she was ready, needing her to be quiet.

She just needed to get Natsuki out of here immediately, she is in a murderous mood but she didn't want her new roommate to see any more bloodshed. She was sure there would be another opportunity for revenge later anyways, for now all that mattered was Natsuki's safety.

Carefully, she walked out from the "bedroom" and into the upstairs hallway, Natsuki held in Yuri's arms and clinging to her neck.

She looked down at the half naked girl in her arms, "Are you okay?" she asks, noting that she's even lighter than before and must be in a lot of pain.

Natsuki nods at her in spite of all these possibilities, "M-Mhm, just... please, l-lets get out of here. Please..." Natsuki begs, Yuri doing exactly as she was asked and not wasting another second.

She quietly walked down the stairs, the TV is still on and it doesn't sound like there's any disturbance in the room either. Yuri taking it as an okay and sneaking past the living room, trying to open the front door without putting Natsuki down.

She pulls after turning but the door doesn't open or even budge, Yuri confused and pulling harder, 'What?! I opened this lock already-wait, I never even closed the door, why is it-'

"So then... this is how you choose to repay me, huh?" a man's voice says, the hair on Yuri's neck standing up.

She turns around quickly, seeing a man standing there leaning against the kitchen's entrance. Yuri can feel Natsuki tense up immediately when she hears her father's voice, Yuri holding her protectively and backing against the door.

"Get away..." Yuri snarls, glaring at him which simply makes Natsuki's father smile cockily.

"Aw, that's cute, but I hate to say it you little bitch, you're in my house with my brat. You aren't giving the orders," he says, reaching behind him and yanking something out from his back pocket, "Now... on your fucking knees or you die, right here."

He raises an arm, a large black revolver in his hand fully loaded and more than ready to shoot.

"P-Papa!!! Stop, d-don't hurt her, please! N-Not her-" he growls and lets off a quick shot hitting the wall right next to Yuri's head who shockingly enough doesn't flinch.

"Shut it you little whore!!! I give you a roof over your head and treat you better than anyone as worthless as you deserves and you thank me by having this bitch here take you from me?! You're not that fucking special!!!" he shrieks at her, Natsuki quivering in Yuri's arms, more scared for herself now.

Yuri however... smiles.

Looking down at Natsuk, she hums at her, "Darling," Yuri says getting Natsuki's attention immediately, "Stay down for me, and don't come out from the corner okay?" Yuri says in a sickeningly sweet tone.

Natsuki looks at Yuri who's still grinning, it's creeping her out as she's set down into the corner of a wall, covering herself more with her blanket.

"Good... now, on your damn knees already," he demands, jerking his gun to show he's serious.

She looks back at him and sighs to herself, "Y'know... I've been wanting to slit your throat since I got here... now that I have that reason however, I must admit," Yuri smiles wider, her pupils dilating and becoming psychotic as a sadistic lust bares itself to the man in front of her, "I'm glad I can make you truly suffer even more~"

Natsuki's father doesn't falter, Yuri reaching down and grabbing her special custom made knife. The man fires at her, not caring any longer and instead running off adrenaline and his police training to open fire.

Yuri sees this coming and brings her knife up, holding the blade and handle at the same time and somehow blocking the bullet entirely?! Natsuki gasps and is about to cry out before seeing Yuri charge forwards, closing the distance quicker than any normal person should be allowed to.

"What the-" he fires again but the shot goes right past Yuri's head when she grabbed and moved his wrist out of the way to misfire.

Yuri winced at the ear shattering gunshot being fired literally right next to her ear but she doesn't dare hesitate at all. Rearing the knife back, she brings it down into the man's shoulder hard enough that the knife tip goes straight through his back as well!

He shouts out in pain but Yuri just laughs maniacally, "YES!!!" she screams ecstatic, "If you wish to ruin my friend'ss life and abuse her this way then I'll make sure to take yours away instead!!!" she says, her eyes piercing through the man as he's forced to the ground.

She takes the knife out with a savage yank, about to stab him again only for Yuri to get hit across the face, throwing her off. She doesn't stick around, scurrying away while Natsuki's father gets up, firing two shots quickly. One hits the wall and the other just barely misses Yuri's calf, still drawing blood as she throws herself into the kitchen, hiding behind the wall.

"You fucking psychotic bitch... what the hell is wrong with you?!!" he shouts, wincing at his wound as Natsuki just watches, dumbfounded and scared for Yuri all at the same time.

Blood pools from his shoulder, already drenching his shirt and pants, ignoring his pain as best he can and walking into the darkened kitchen. Looking around, he's breathing hard as Yuri waits in a dark corner behind the kitchen counter, her eyes glowing a dull purple.

Her gaze is murderous as she lurks in the shadows, watching Natsuki's father slowly turn his back, she bolts! Shooting out from behind and jamming her knife into the man's right arm as deep as she can, a rush of bloodlust hits her as Natsuki's father screams loudly, even dropping his gun that misfires again, startling Yuri back.

He turns around and swings at Yuri who ducks, forgetting to take her knife at the same, she quickly gets to the opposite side of the kitchen island as he growls at her and yanks the massive knife out from his arm. Yelling out as his arm sears with pain effectively leaving his right arm useless at this point and even his left arm isn't in the best condition either.

Yuri starts to get a bit nervous now, she's not much use in a fight without her knife or anything sharp really. The man doesn't wait and runs, jumping around the edge of the counter and trying to grab Yuri who thankfully backs off in time, retreating to the dining room next to the kitchen. Hoping once more that the darkness of the house will still give her the advantage here.

"Get the hell back here, you bitch!!! You're going to fucking pay for what you did to me!!!" he shouts, rushing into the room and this time managing to grab Yuri by her hair!

She gasps as she's pulled back, being forced to the ground, trapped as Natsuki's father sits down on her waist crushing her. Yuri struggles to breathe but doesn't falter when she sees her own knife come down to her face, trying to stab her which Yuri doesn't allow. Moving her head to the side and grabbing the large man's arms as the knife stabs into the wooden floor, trying to keep his hands down near her face so he can't pull the knife back out

"Let, the fuck, nng, go!!!" he demands, Yuri looking at him with a nearly blank stare as she keeps him held down, both of them trapped now in this position until she suddenly lets him go.

He doesn't fall back but he does get thrown off balance, Yuri grabbing her knife and twirling it to face the bottom of her palm before she jams it straight into his side! A wet thick squelch followed by more blood pooling down Natsuki's father's body as he looks down in shock.

He doesn't get off however or faint or anything, Yuri's neck getting grabbed by the bleeding out man who's coughing up blood like a fountain now. Yuri gasps but ultimately can't breathe anymore, Natsuki's father squeezing her throat and trying to crush it with what strength he has left.

"You're going to burn in hell for this, you and that little bitch over there!!! I'll make you suffer worse than she EVER did!!!" he shouts, spit and blood flying into Yuri's face as she chokes out.

Her lungs burn already, Yuri trying to grab the man's own throat as best she can to choke him back but finds herself doing so in vain. Struggling, kicking, hitting, doing whatever Yuri can to get away, even trying to grab the knife she's lodged in her assaulter's side but finding herself too weak and not in the right mind to pull it out.

She can feel her vision already starting to close, going unconscious, Yuri is about to just accept her fate and hope Natsuki is already gone and therefore safe now...

Without warning however, Yuri's airways open and she gasps for air, her body is drenched in sweat and blood already, looking around as her vision comes back and she sees two people standing above her. She sees Natsuki and her father who's stumbling towards her, Yuri's eyes going wide immediately and turning onto her hands and knees.

She doesn't try and recover entirely and instead forces herself up to her feet. Looking around and grabbing a vase sitting on the dining table she was next to, charging at Natsuki's father and yelling a shout of valor!

"Get the hell AWAY FROM HER!!!" Yuri demands, Natsuki's father turning around with a different knife in his left hand just as Yuri slams the flower vase straight into his face, shattering it and knocking the bigger man down to the floor, almost unconscious.

Yuri is huffing, her eyes are glaring as she looks down, licking at the side of her mouth as some blood trickles down her face, the taller woman smiling psychotically when she tastes the coppery substance on her tongue.

"Eheh... hehehe.... ahahah, AHAHAHAH!!!" she cackles, both Natsuki and her father looking at her scared.

She stops and takes a deep breath, wiping her eyes, before she stands next to the wallowing man who's in far too much pain to get up anymore.

"You... what the fuck is wrong with you..?" Natsuki's father croaks out, holding his bleeding side as he looks at Yuri with half lidded eyes.

She giggles at him and grabs the knife in his side, pulling it out painfully slow making the man groan and wince.

"What's wrong with me?! You jest, surely," she says, leaning down and holding the knife up to the bleeding out man's neck who quivers at the feel of the blade, "You view me as unfit mentally, yet you have the audacity to starve, beat, and torture someone as sweet as Natsuki!!! No one is more of a monster than you are..." she says, however it didn't matter as he had already passed out about halfway through Yuri's little speech.

"Y-Yuri!" Natsuki calls, making the yandere turn around quickly to see her standing there shaking and scared.

Yuri feels herself calm down, no longer filled with an intent to kill and protect as she gets up, forgetting to finish her father off. However she's hesitant, she wants to hug Natsuki and apologize for what she's had to be put through. But how can she do that now after seeing Yuri this way? Murderous, blood lustful, rough and savage, everything that Natsuki never saw Yuri as.

"I... Natsuki I... you didn't get hurt... did you?" she asks, looking away and hissing as she holds her side.

The pinkette whimpers and lunges forwards, grabbing Yuri and hugging her closer, burying her face into her chest as Yuri nearly stumbles back, having been caught off guard.

"Am I okay?! What about you?! You almost got shot and nearly choked to death!!!" she exclaims, hugging Yuri as tightly as she could, "I-If I hadn't hit him with that pan I... y-you wouldn't..." she stops and Yuri looks over, seeing a large skillet with blood on it left on the ground near where she had been pinned down.

"You... you stopped him?" Yuri asks, her arms lowering to her side as Natsuki looks up at her, her jaw smushed by Yuri's breast as she continues to cry.

"O-Of course I did!!! You were trying to save me just now. W-why would... why would I let the sweetest person I've ever met die like that when trying to protect me?" she asks while trying to keep it together.

Yuri gasps, inhaling sharply but overall deciding to hug her friend back, making her keep her face in Yuri's cleavage as she starts to cry silently. Relieved that Natsuki doesn't feel disgusted or scared of Yuri after seeing her darker side, the two girls standing there and embracing for some time before they feel ready to go...

...

As it turns out, numerous neighbors had heard the conflict coming from Natsuki's house and called law enforcement for help. Before Yuri and Natsuki could leave, nearly a dozen officers had busted into the house and assessed the situation.

However, one look at Natsuki made it clear what had been happening here to the officers and when Yuri explained she came here to save her friend, they cleared her carnage as "self defense". Yuri and Natsuki eventually got checked out by a few paramedics, Natsuki needing it the absolute most while Yuri waited anxiously with other officers, not totally able to focus on majority of their questions.

When they had finished on Natsuki and let her go, she returned to Yuri and finally they asked the big question, where was Natsuki going to live now? They weren't going to be able to let Natsuki stay here with a crime scene they need to investigate and as such, she would need a new place to live. Yuri however was prepared for this and jumped in immediately, holding Natsuki from behind and declaring that she would be living with her.

Natsuki felt her heart flutter after being told this, not objecting at all and only holding Yuri's hands in response. The officer noded, took down a few notes, and eventually led the two girls to his car, offering to drive them home. Natsuki pulling Yuri along to get in, smiling at her friend and showing she's already brightened significantly after finally being freed from her father's abusive hold...

...

Yuri sighs to herself, holding her phone up to her ear, "And you're sure she is doing okay, Ms. Yoshika?" a woman asks over the phone to which Yuri nods, tapping her finger against her arm.

"Yes, Natsuki is doing well, now. But we both won't be coming in today for our personal well being. If you require any more information however, I can direct you to the local authorities?" Yuri offers, not wishing to talk about the previous night to her school's counselor.

"The school will look into it, in the meantime please rest and recover. I will inform your professors of both your absences today," the woman says, already hanging up before Yuri can even utter a thank you to her but not bothering to call back or push the issue.

Yuri sighs and moves some hair out of her face, she's been awake for hours already, she couldn't sleep after the rush of last night. She would say the same for Natsuki but the pinkette was so exhausted and starved that she fell asleep practically the moment her body hit the bed.

"I suppose I can start on breakfast, I'm sure Natsuki is quite literally starving and would enjoy a nice filling meal," she tells herself, struggling to put her phone in her pocket, "I should make extra for her in case she wants more than just a couple helpings of it."

However, before Yuri can leave to start cooking, she hears a yawn behind her, turning around and seeing the girl she saved the night before sleepily walking towards her. She's all wrapped in one of Yuri's massive blankets and wearing a few of Yuri's old pajamas, a much better alternative to her being nearly naked and shivering.

"Yuri? Who are you talking to..?" she asks, rubbing her eyes and yawning more.

Yuri quickly takes Natsuki and turns her around, starting to lead her back to the room, "Natsuki, please go back to bed? You're exhausted still and need rest, I'm going to cook breakfast right now as well," Yuri insists, Natsuki just leaning against her and hugging Yuri out of no where.

"But I'm not hungry... I want you to come back to bed with me already before we have to go to school today," Natsuki whines which Yuri can't help but smile at amused.

"Natsuki, you're literally starving, please let me go so you can eat something! I already called off school for both of us today anyways, I don't think it would be appropriate for either of us to attend after what happened last night," Yuri explains, trying to make Natsuki let her go only for the pinkette to double her efforts.

"I don't caaaare... sleep, now," she demands tiredly, Yuri's heart quickening as she's unable to resist.

"I..." Yuri sighs and shakes her head, "Alright, alright, but I expect every single scrap of food on your plate to be gone when we get up later," Yuri says very seriously, picking Natsuki up and carrying her back towards her room.

Natsuki holds Yuri's neck and snuggles in deep, loving her warmth after so many cold nights, "Mhm... I-I will, thank you Yuri..." she mutters, already falling asleep once more.

"Of course, Natsuki, you don't ever have to thank me for any of this," she says, entering the room and laying Natsuki down on the bed.

The bookworm sighs and climbs in with her, Natsuki not even waiting for Yuri to get comfortable before she grabs and cuddles her, wrapping her arms around the taller woman's neck.

"Yes I do... You saved me, Yuri. You're letting me stay here with you for free and even feeding me..." Yuri blushes but feels her heart break hearing Natsuki thank her for providing the basic necessities to her, "I-If it weren't for you, I-I might be dead right now, I don't think I could've survived another night in my cold room again with nothing to eat..." she says, Yuri hugging her tight and keeping her close after the mention of being cold.

"Don't think about that, Suki, please. You're so strong for having lived that way for as long as you did, but you're safe now," Yuri says, moving some of Natsuki's hair out of her face so she can look at her better, "However, I would appreciate it if at some point maybe you could tell me more about what happened? Why your father treated you like that, if you know?" Yuri asks, Natsuki looking away as she clings to her friend's shirt.

"I... I think I know... but I-I don't think I'm ready to talk about any of this, Yuri," she admits, feeling guilty that this is the bare minimum Yuri is asking of her and she can't even tell her, "I don't want to think about any of this at all right now..."

Yuri hums and gently holds the back of Natsuki's head, running her fingers through her soft pink locks and combing her scalp, "I understand, but at some point I would appreciate it if you could tell me, I want to know more Natsuki and how I can help you move past this, okay?"

Natsuki feels her eyes prick with tears, burying her face into Yuri's neck and nodding quickly, "I will, Yuri... I will, thank you, thank you so so much," the pinkette chokes out, again starting to cry.

Yuri just smiles and closes her eyes, content with Natsuki's answer and deciding that she needs time to first start healing from so much trauma and abuse. Yuri slipping her other hand inside of Natsuki's shirt and rubbing her back as the two girls snuggle together. Yuri unable to sleep as she just continues to comfort Natsuki, listening to her cries slowly dying down. Just glad that she could finally help save and take care of her friend after so much time spent worrying for the pinkette.
