Prologue: The Start

(1st Person PoV)

Nnngh...my head.

It hurts.

Wait! Where am I?

I look up to see that I'm in a classroom of sorts.

I got up from the desk where I was at and looked around.

The windows were boarded up tight, there's a security camera in the corner, a gun in another and that was it. Well that was it that didn't fit with the classroom.

Ok so I'm in a classroom, that's all I know so far on where I am. Remember...what was the last thing I remember, I thought.

I tried racking my brain for my earliest memory that I could remember.

...

...

Ah! I remember now.

I was opening my letter of acceptance for Hope's Peak Academy and I was getting ready to head over there!

And then....nothing!

I can't remember a damn thing!

Except for one another thing...

(If T/k/ F/k/w/ is a trigger to you, please feel free to skip this part)

"My name....my name is Toko Fukawa and I...am the Super High School Level Lucky Student," I said to myself.

Right now I got that out of the way, time to do the next thing on the list.

Getting out of here.

I walked to the door and turned on the knob. It was surprisingly open.

I walked out and into a purple hallway.

The color was sickening to me, made me nauseous.

This isn't a good shade of purple, I thought.

"Hey you!" Someone said.

I turned around to see a really tall guy.

He looked hot.

Wait what? You heard nothing!

"Hey pleb, are you listening?" He asked.

"E-Eh? No s-sorry," I said.

"As I was saying, do you know where we are?" He asked.

I shook my head quickly.

He grumbled something to himself before turning away.

"You're late. Everyone else is waiting," he said.

"W-wait everyone? Wh-who is everyone?" I asked as I followed him.

"Fifteen other students. You're the sixteen student," he explained.

Students? Well I was in a classroom so that probably means I'm in a school. Hope's Peak? I wondered.

The two of us entered a giant orange gym with grey stripes. He was right about the other students.

I could see fifteen other colorful heads, all different people.

"Finally! You're late!" A black haired girl snapped.

"Sis come on! She's like....five minutes late. Take a chill pill," a strawberry blonde girl shrilled.

The black haired girl turned away at this.

"Now that everyone is here, I suggest we introduce ourselves," a black haired guy with bushy eyebrows said.

"Is that why you made us f*cking wait?" A corn style pompadour guy asked.

"Language!" The black haired guy said.

"So we should introduce ourselves correct?" A lavender haired girl asked.

"Yes!" The black haired guy replied.

Maybe I should introduce myself to the guy who guided me here, I thought as everyone turned to each other and introduce themselves.

"H-hello. I'm T-Toko Fukawa a-and I'm the Super H-High School Level L-Lucky Student," I said as I walked up to me.

(If By//uya T/g/mi is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

He stayed quiet for a few seconds before speaking up.

"Byakuya Togami, Super High School Level Programmer."

(Bro I forgot to color in his teeth white. Now they look purple 😭)

I was waiting for something else but he said nothing.

"What are you looking at? Scram peasant, and go take a shower. You stink," he winkled his nose.

I ran off, pissed.

I bumped into someone.

"S-sorry," I muttered.

"It's ok!" They said. They sounded feminine.

I looked to see a pretty tanned girl with a swirly ponytail.

(If A/i Asa//na is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"I'm Aoi Asahina and I'm the Super High School Level Fashionista!" She said.

I have seen her before! She's usually on the front page of every magazine that I have seen while in the waiting room, I thought.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"T-Toko Fukawa...S-Super High Sc-school Level Lucky S-Student," I muttered.

"Wow! That's a cool name and talent!" Asahina exclaimed, stars in her eyes.

"Uh huh...s-sure wh-whatever you say," I muttered.

I walked away to introduce myself to other people.

There was pretty pale girl with a long black and grey dress. She had a white bow on top of her head.

She spotted me and turned around.

(If C//ste L//nb//g is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"Celestia Ludenburg but feel free to call me Celeste," she said.

She didn't say her talent though.

"A-and your talent i-is?" I asked.

She simply smiled.

"I'm T-Toko Fukawa b-by the way. N-not that you w-would remember my n-name," I muttered.

Celeste continued to give me a smile.

Ok good talk, I thought and left.

"You!" I flinched at the loud voice.

The same black haired guy stomped up to me. He stood in front of me ridged.

"You were late! A good solider should never be late!" He stated with his loud voice.

"Well d-damn didn't know w-we were on a s-schedule," I grumbled.

"Hmm since today is the first day, I'm pretty sure this will slide but don't be late from now on," he said.

"O-ok ok. I-I get the m-memo," I said.

"Good," he smiled.

(If Ki//ta/a Is/ma//u is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"I'm Kiyotaka Ishimaru, call me Taka though. And I'm the Super High School Level Soldier!" He exclaimed and saluted.

"I'm T-Toko Fukawa and I'm th-the Super H-high School Level Lucky S-Student," I said.

I walked away from him to introduce myself to the others.

I walked up to two people. One looked tired and serious while the other energetic and bubbly.

"H-hello," I said.

"Look! Look! A new person has joined us!" The strawberry blonde girl jumped up and down.

"Yes sister, I can see that," the black haired girl said.

"You t-two are sisters?" I asked and they nodded.

"Don't be surprised though when we say our names," the black haired girl said.

(If M/ku/o Ik//asa is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"My name is Mukuro Ikubasa and I'm the Super High School Level Moral Compass," she muttered.

She looked pretty and formal.

"My turn! My turn!" Her sister said.

(If J/nk/ En/h//ma is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"I'm Junko Enoshima and I'm the Super High School Level Swimmer!" She cheered.

"I'm T-Toko Fukawa a-and I'm the S-Super High Sc-School Level L-Lucky Student," I muttered.

"Wow! You came here just because of luck? That's sooo...f*cking amazing!" Enoshima struck a pose that is not shy off of Jojo.

"Language sister," Ikubasa muttered.

"Don't language me," mushrooms popped up from Enoshima's head cartoony like.

"So wait if you two are sisters, then why do you have different last names?" I asked.

"It's a long story. Frankly I'd rather not bore you with the details," Ikubasa replied.

I decided to leave those two alone.

I walked up to the lavender haired girl. She was fiddling around with her gloves.

She saw me and put her hands down quickly.

"Hello? I-I'm Toko Fukawa," I slightly waved, approaching her cautiously.

She said nothing but the girl looked like she was thinking of something.

(If Ky//ko K/r/g/ri is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"Kyoko Kirigiri, Super High School Level Gambler," she said softly after a few seconds.

Her dress was very sparkly.

"Oh you're a g-gambler. Th-That's cool I g-guess," I said.

Kirigiri said nothing. She didn't even meet my eyes.

Ok...not much of a talker, I thought and walked away.

I walked up to a girl wearing a blue jacket and had light makeup on.

She was very pretty, almost doll-like.

"Hey I'm not a doll! I'm a person," the girl said.

"Wh-what?! You could r-read my th-thoughts?" I asked.

"Of course! I'm psychic," the girl said.

I was hoping that this was sort of a joke and that she just has keen intuition.

(If Sa/a/a M/iz//o is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

The girl giggled, "It's not intuition if I'm the Super High School Level Clairvoyant, Sayaka Maizono."

"W-wait I thought that c-clairvoyants just saw the future a-and read people's f-fortune?" I asked.

"Sort of. I can also read others thoughts but I can't do it all the time. I'm usually 40% correct!" Maizono explained.

"That...doesn't seem much," I said.

She stuck out her tongue playfully.

"That's what everyone says but I got your thoughts correctly so that has to count for something. Anyway what's your talent. I only know your name, Fukawa," she said.

"I-It's Super High School L-Level Lucky S-Student," I muttered.

"That's so cool! I'm jealous," Maizono smiled.

"Jealous of wh-what? I just s-so happen to win the dr-drawing," I said.

"Luck is so cool! Luck can get you many places," Maizono explained.

"I-I guess," I said and backed away slowly.

I bumped into another person.

"Ah! I-I'm sorry," I muttered.

"Oh it's ok," it was a small girl wearing a suit.

(If Ch/h/ro Fu//saki is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"I-I'm Chihiro Fujisaki and I'm the Super High School Level Affluent Progeny," she said.

"Wait Fujisaki? A-as in Fukisaki C-Corp?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yeah...my family is one of the richest in all of Japan," Fujisaki explained.

I heard that they had a main son but never a daughter. Well then again there was that family war that the family had. Maybe she won that war and is heir to the company, I thought.

Usually rich kids are very snobby and aren't afraid to flex how high status they are.

But....

"You're not hurt from bumping into me a-are you? I shouldn't have been in your way," Fujisaki asked.

"No I-I'm fine. Not a-a scratch," I replied.

"That's good," Fujisaki sighed in relief.

She's far too sweet to be a snobby rich kid, I thought.

I said my goodbyes and left to introduce myself to whoever is left.

I walked up to a boy with brown hair and a small ponytail.

(If M/ko/o Na//i is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"Hi there! I'm Makoto Naegi! I'm known as the Super High School Level Writing Prodigy!" He said.

"W-writing prodigy? So you w-write books and s-such?" I asked.

"Yeah. I write books from many different genres like adventure to romance to science fiction!" He explained.

"Th-that's interesting. I-I'm Toko Fukawa," I said.

"Nice to meet you. Umm we haven't met before have we?" Naegi asked.

"N-No. I don't th-think so. This is o-our first meeting and I-I don't I have ever seen y-you before," I explained.

"Oh then. I only know Sayaka since we went to the same middle school and nearly everyone is here is somewhat famous so of course they look familiar but I swear you look familiar," Naegi explained.

"No I'm not," I said firmly, not even stuttering.

He shrank back at this.

"Sorry for bothering you," he said.

He left.

"Hey that wasn't very nice," someone said as they came up to me.

Who is it now? I thought as I turned around to face them.

Holy sh*t! I thought.

I knew potential celebrities would be here but I never thought he would be here.

(If Ya/uh//o Ha//k/re is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"Y-You're Yasuhiro Hagakure," I said, pointing to him.

"Oh you recognize me? I knew that pop idols gets recognized the second they step on scene," he said.

(I can't draw his hair, sorry)

Crap! One of the few pop idols that I listen to is standing right here, right in front of me, I thought

"So what's your name?" He asked.

"T-Toko F-Fukawa," I said, stuttering more than usual.

"Cool name Fukawa! Nice to meet you," Hagakure smiled.

"A-Anyway, I'm off now," I said and left.

Just my luck. My name just happened to be picked by luck in that drawing and I end up in a place where the Yasuhiro Hagakure is at, I thought.

"Yo! Are you ok?" Someone asked.

It was a guy with orangeish hair.

"Yeah I-I'm fine. Now who a-are you?" I asked, rather rudely.

"Ouch, didn't need to do me like that," he said.

(If L/on K/wa/ta is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"Names Leon Kuwata and I'm the Super High School Level Fanfic Creator," he said.

"You wr-write fanfictions?" I asked.

"Yep I post them on WattPaw and B02! I'm really popular on both platforms," Kuwata explained.

"Ohh...c-cool," I said.

Kuwata kept on rambling about his books, different plot ideas, how people keep stereotyping fan fictions, and how many followers he has.

"O-ok this has gone f-for a long t-time but I'll need t-to introduce myself to th-the others," I said, cutting him off as he explained one of the plots of his new book. It was about some YouTubers being stuck in a different world and that world was about an underrated anime.

In his opinion.

"Ok cool cool. Bye," he waved.

I left to go to talk to whoever is left remaining.

There was this big guy with an interesting hair cut. He has this aura of intimidation.

"H-hi there. I'm Toko Fukawa, th-the Super High School L-Level Lucky Student," I started.

(If M/n/o O//da is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"Mondo Owada, the Super High School Level Martial Artist. Nice to f*cking meetcha," he said quickly.

Ok that was quick, I thought.

"Is that all? If you have nothing else to say, then please leave," Owada said.

Really quick, I thought as I scurried away.

There was this other guy wearing a baseball cap.

"Oh you're approaching me?" He asked.

Don't tell that's a reference to something, I thought.

"Wh-what's your name?" I asked.

(If H/fu/i Y//ma/a is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"My name is...Hifumi Yamada! I am known as the Alpha Pitcher and the Omega runner! Super High School Level Baseball star!" He said dramatically.

"Baseball star? Oh I-I remember now. I th-think I saw you on T-TV once," I said.

"Then you know that I was the star player on my team. Of course I wouldn't have done it on my own without my team. It's the power of teamwork," Yamada explained.

"C-cool cool," I muttered.

"You have one more person to introduce yourself Ms...Umm what was your name again?" He asked.

"T-Toko Fukawa," I replied.

"I will remember that Ms.Fukawa," Yamada said and left.

One more person, I thought.

The final person was staring at the ceiling, looking like she was doing some sort of meditation.

"Umm h-hello?" I asked as I came up to her.

She slowly open her eyes and got up.

Holy sh*t she's tall! I thought in a shock.

She looked very intimidating and scary. I hope she doesn't do anything.

But then she surprised me.

She smiled and slightly bowed.

(If S/ku/a Og//i is a trigger to you, feel free to skip this)

"My name is Sakura Ogami and I'm the Super High School Level Biker Gang Leader," she said.

Oh sh*t she's actually nice! I shouldn't have been ahead of myself, I thought.

"It's ok if you thought of me as scary. I get that a lot," Ogami said, as if reading my thoughts.

"A-ah sorry about that. I-I shouldn't have j-judged you," I said.

"It's alright. As long as you learned the first time," Ogami smiled.

I think that's all. What's next? Is a teddy bear going to appear or something, I thought jokingly.

Tp tp tp tp

"Testing testing. Is this thing on?" A voice from the speakers said.

"What the hell is that?" Owada asked.

"Language!" Both Ikubasa and Taka shouted at him.

"Bullsh*t!" He shouted back at them.

"Everyone be quiet, I want to hear more," Kirigiri said, raising her voice.

"Give your attention to the stage in front of you!" The same voice cheered.

"What's going on?" I heard Asahina asked.

"I don't know," Naegi replied.

"This better explain why we are here," Togami said.

All eyes were on the stage.

...

Pop!

"Helllllllllloooooooo students!" It squeaked.

"Awww how cute!" Enoshima squealed.

"Why thank you!" The bunny bowed.

"Are we not going to talk about the fact that it's talking?" Kuwata cried.

"How wude! I have a name you know!" The bunny shook its paws up and down like a child would when throwing a tantrum.

"Then who are you?" Kirigiri asked.

"Well finally someone asked. I'm the Magical Rabbit named Usami! Just call me Usami though," Usami said.

"Quit the bull crap! What's going on?" Owada shouted.

"What's going on? Well nothing is going on. Except for the fact all of you are trapped here," Usami giggled.

"What?!" Yamada yelled.

"I'm surprised that you even have a reaction. After all, it's not much of a surprise," Celeste smiled.

"What do you mean?" Fujisaki asked.

"The boarded up windows of course. And the fact that the front door is locked," Celeste explained.

"She's right! I was the second to last person here and I tried getting the front door open but couldn't get it to even crack," Naegi explained.

"Even my own strength couldn't get one window open," Ogami added on.

"See! See! All of you are trapped here. For how long you may ask? Well for the rest of your lives!" Usami cheered.

"What the hell? I have fans waiting for me to update my books!" Kuwata shouted.

"I have a little sister to look after!" Naegi yelled.

"My team is counting on me! We were supposed to go to America!" Yamada cried.

"Who caaaares!" Usami chirped.

She did a little spin on the spot.

"You're all stuck here, whether you like it or not," she said.

"We have things to do on the outside! You have to let us go!" Enoshima cried.

"Weeeeellll there is one way that I can let you go," Usami said.

"You'll let us go? By doing what?" Celeste asked.

At this, Usami grinned.

"You'll stay here for the rest of your lives. You'll live your best lives here, relaxation and such. However...if someone were to disturb the peace, well let's just say that's the the key of getting out," Usami explained.

"How would you disturb the peace as you said?" Ogami asked.

"By killing someone of course," the rabbit said quickly.

?!

WHAT?! I thought.

Immediately at those words, everyone cried out different things but had more or less the same reactions.

"No! Nononono this can't happen!" Maizono cried.

"This is at the most uttermost unbelievable! I refuse to believe in your words!" Taka shouted.

"Oh Noo!" Fujisaki sank to her knees.

"That's bull crap!" Owada shouted.

He ran at the stage and grabbed the rabbit by her neck.

"Ack! You can't do that!" Usami cried.

"I don't care! Just let us out of here now!" Owada shouted.

"Violence against the Headmistress is against the rules and rule breakers should be punished!" Usami flailed around.

Beep

Beep

Beep

Beep

Beep

"Hey what's that beeping noise?" Kuwata asked.

"Coming from this b*tch," Owada said.

"Throw it!" Maizono cried.

"What?" Owada asked as the beeping increased rapidly.

"Throw it quickly! Trust me!" She shouted.

Owada throw the rabbit out and Usami exploded?!

"Whoa!" Yamada yelled.

"What the hell?!" Owada said.

"D-Did that rabbit j-just exploded?" I asked.

"Seems like it," Kirigiri said.

"So she's gone now?" Asahina asked.

"Nope!" Usami appeared from the stage.

"Gah! What the f*ck!" Kuwata cried.

"She's still here?!" Naegi cried.

"All of you are shouting like complete idiots so pipe down," Togami snapped.

"Mr.Togami, I believe that our shouting is the least of our problems," Yamada explained.

"Indeed," Ikubasa agreed.

"Tsk tsk. I'll leave you with a warning but let me tell all of you. I am not tolerating any more rule breaking. Because if you do," Usami said.

"I won't hesitate to disturb the peace myself."

Everyone stayed silent at this.

"Well then! Chop chop! I got you E-Handbooks so read the rules," She said.

"E-Handbooks?" Hagakure asked.

"I think she means this," from her pockets, Celeste pulled out a small yellow tablet.

I reached into my pockets and low and behold, there it was.

I went to check the rules that Usami was talking about.

Rule #1: Students may reside only within the school. Leaving campus is an unacceptable use of time.

Rule #2: "Nighttime" is from 10 pm to 7 am. Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution.

Rule #3: Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory will be seen as sleeping in class and punished accordingly.

Rule #4: With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy at your discretion.

Rule #5: Violence against headmistress Usami is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras.

Rule #6: Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes "blackened" will graduate, unless they are discovered.

Rule #7: Additional school regulations may be added if necessary.

"Is that all?" Celeste asked.

"Yes it is!" Usami said.

"What type of additional rules would be added and when?" Togami asked.

"Kill someone and find out!" Usami replied.

"Welp better get comfortable here. Unless you want to kill somebody to get out, you're stuck here!" Usami explained.

This...this is real. And I thought that it was just going to be a regular school year, I thought as everyone looked at each other with suspicion.
