The motorcycle roared as it pulled into the school's parking lot. The bike slipped into it's assinged parking space before shutting off as the kickstand was put down and the girl riding it hopped off. The girl readjusted her backpack, moving it from both shoulders to only one. With a sigh she took of her helmet and shook out her black curtain of hair.
The jet black mess fell to just graze her colarbones, framing her tanned face and bright sea green eyes in crazy strands. After she put her helmet under her arm she turned to grab the coffee she had placed in the cup holder of her bike. With the coffee in hand she marched up to the school, her combatboots scuffing on the pavement.
The blonde haired boy sighed as he parked his white car in his spot. The bags under his eyes from a night spent studying just would not go away no matter how much cold water he splashed his face with. The blonde curls of his hair fell just into his eyes as he made himself leave his car, grabbing his back pack on the way.
His grey eyes squited at the bright sun that peeked just over the school building. With a huff of breath his sneakers started moving, his subconsious taking over and telling him where he had to be. The only thing that snapped him out of his trance was a black haired girl calling his name and smiling at him. He smiled back.
The girl handed over the coffee in her hand and slung her bag around to take out a ziplock with two blue cookies in it out of the front pocket. "Here you go, Wise Guy." The girl gave over the cookies with another grin. The boy took the coffee and cookies with a smile and a thanks.
This was the normal, everyday the girl would bring him two cookies and a coffee, because she knew. Knew that those bags under his eyes weren't just from stundying all night.
"Thank you Percy." The blonde said as he downed a cookie and took a gulp of the coffee.
"No problem Andrew." Percy smiled as she took Andrew's free arm, the one not holding the coffee and ziplock. The two walked into the school arm in arm.
Andrew's grey t-shirt shifted as he raised his arm to drink more coffee, the bitter tasting liquid granting much needed energy. In fact the shirt was one the girl beside him had bought him for his birthday, it was grey with the words 'book worm' printed in a black, loopy handwriting. His blue jeans were held up by a black belt, a gift from Percy, but for Christmas.
Eyes followed the two best friends as they made their way down the hall, they always did. But one set of eyes that caught sight of them were particulary mischievous.
A short hispainc girl ran out and stopped in front of Andrew and Percy with a huge grin on her elfish face. She had dark curly hair pulled back into a poofy ponytail, dark eyes that sparkled with a troublemaking light, and a strange outfit of black work pants, white work shirt, suspenders, and work boots on. Her name was Leah Valdez, one of their closer friends.
In fact the elfish girl had a smudge of something on her cheek. Probaly from working in her mother's autoshop that morning.
"What's up you two?" Leah said as she grinned.
"Nothing, what about you Leah?" Percy answered for both of them as Andrew tried to finish the last drop of coffee.
"Oh nothing much has been happening with the Bad Girl Supreme." Leah grinned as she tugged on her supsenders and pointed at herself with her thumbs. "Caleb has been pestering me about getting new clothes though. . ." Leah trailed off but a guy seemed to materialize by her.
"That's because you have over twenty sets of the same outfit." The brown haired boy snipped as he poked Leah's side. Caleb was Leah's boyfriend of one year. He had wavy brown hair that framed his pale face and just covered his ears, and brown eyes-that had a spark of warmth even as he scowled at his girlfriend. Caleb wore a white hoodie over a skyblue t-shirt and blue jeans.
Leah frowned and crossed her arms in a pout. "But Caleb, that's all the Supreme Camander Leah needs!" Percy rolled her eyes before dragging Andrew with her and away from the bickering couple.
Then they had first period, and had to seperate. Andrew went to the advanced classes while Percy stayed the averge course. But she wasn't alone in her classes.
Peter Mclean, another close friend, was in most of her classes. He had brown hair, that fell choppliy over his forehead with a few bits that were longer because they were braided with feathers hanging from them. His Cherokee completion contrasted with his kelitoscope colored eyes, blue one minute green the next. He wore sweatshirts and ripped blue jeans with sneakers everyday. You'd never think his mom was Tristan Mclean, famous actress.
His girlfriend, Jacy Grace-Percy's cousin, was in classes with Andrew. She had bright blonde hair and electric blue eyes, she favored shades of purple with skinny blue jeans.
The day went on as normal.
At lunch Percy sat with Andrew, Leah, Caleb, Peter, Jacy, and four others that were in their grade. Ren, a dark haired, dark eyed guy with a ramrod stright back and a no-nonsense attitude. Richard, a redhead, green eyed boy with paint flecked jeans and an old t-shirt. Julian, a boy with brown hair and green eyes that had a particully elven aspect to his features, and his girlfriend-Grace. Grace was a girl with curly brown hair and brown eyes, she had a muscle problem with her legs and favored her Rasta cap.
Things only strayed from normal when, at the end of the day, a teacher came up to Andrew. Andrew was standing with Percy at his own locker, making sure he had everything he needed.
The teacher was his math teacher, Mr. Jule, a short and scrawying man who's hair had started thinning. "Andrew, can I take a moment of your time?" He asked as he dusted off his jacket, no doubt from running to catch Andrew before he left if the panting to try and gain back his breath was any indicator.
"Sure, sir. What can I do for you?" Percy rolled her eyes at the teacher's pet, she just put her hands into the pockets of her black skinny jeans and sighed.
"I have a student I would like you to help out. She is falling behind in classes due to trouble at home, so you would only need to meet maybe twice a week." The short man prattled on at an obnoxiously fast rate. "She's named Luca Castellan and she is new to this school. I was just wondering if you could help her out?"
Percy held in her rebutal at Andrew's anser of "Yes, sir". She knew he over worked himself as is, he didn't need to tutor another student. That's why she bullied him into promising he would come over to her place.
