MEERA'S POV

I am standing outside airport with khushi and my family. My cruel friend here folks has gone completely mad. She dresses up in my brother's favourite colour. Wearing a saree and waiting outside this busy airport  people to looking at her.

She is jumping and super excited about his arrival. Have I ever seen her like this? No. My dad is an another epic figure. He bought his favourite sweets so that he can feed him.

My mum? Don't even ask. She's gone beyond madness. She made our driver decorate our car and our house as well. Even she stood there wearing his favourite colour dress. When I observed my dad even he wore something similar to his favourite colour.

Am I the only one who doesn't add up to my 'matching family' ?

Just then my brother walked outside wearing his usual casuals.

" Oh my goat !!!!" He shouted running towards me and hugged me tight.

" Arrghh leave me ! You are crushing me.!" I shouted pushing him away who doesn't even budge .

Someone cleared their throat and it's none other than my parents . My mum kissed him everywhere she could reach  and my dad beat him so hard giving him ' I AM SO PROUD OF YOU' look .  They left us and I searched for Khushi who is standing far away shying a bit and smiling widely. What happened to that hyper active mode???

" Wow." Sid said looking at his wife. He walked towards her and stopped just few feet away scanning her body up and down.

" Look you sexy like hell. !" He exclaimed kissing her. Only on cheeks , you know if he kisses her on lips people who are gawking at them may make a video.

" Don't you ever dress up like this. " he said seriously and I felt like tackling him to the ground , crushing his body with a big stone along with his ego .

I know I am very violent but I stopped my thoughts after I heard him say
"Look at them, they are just eating you with eyes. Don't dress up like this unless I am with you." he said scoffing.

Khushi blushed like hell looking down holding his hands.
" God you make me hard ! Come now I can't wait to be with you!." He said dragging her with him.

I smiled . It's cute to watch someone love each other so much. I wish arjun comes home fast.

I went to hospital. It's evening and I called Arjun wanting to talk with him.
" Hello baby! How was your day.?" He asked me as soon as our call got connected.

" It's going good until my brother arrived." I said with dull tone.

" Really.? " He asked and I could hear some shuffling sound.

" What is it? How are you? Did you eat anything?." I asked him worrying about his health.

" I just got up one hour ago . Now fully energised . Yep I ate something . Getting ready to go to that stupid party." he said.

" Oh." was all I could answer. Secretly wishing that no girl touches him .

" Don't worry . I am not going to get along with any women or men . I am planning to enter the party , show my face to some delegates and escape from there." he said while walking.

" Escape? Isn't it mandatory for you to stay until it's over .?" I asked him with a bit of confusion.

He sighed and I could hear him closing his car door.
" I am coming to India by tomorrow early morning flight." he said lowly.

" What?!!! Really? I get to see you few hours early then??." I shouted over phone with excitement.

" And I get to keep you with me for as long as I want and I get to do things to you as I wish to do. " he said laughing over phone.

I blushed real hard. I am ready for next step in our marriage but this is first time he's speaking it openly.
Did he read my confession? I actually forgot to ask him

" Meera , I got take a call . Will call you as soon as I board the flight." he said .

"Take care Arjun . I might be busy tonight with cases as I am taking night shift." I informed him.

" Love you Meera . Bye." he said.

I quickly informed my in laws and brother he's taking early flight .

It is tough day . So many accident cases and heart attacks. I have never seen people suffering so much. I had to run between my patients as well as to see about accident cases. It's twelve at night and I did not have single minute to rest. Thank God Akash and sanjana helped by getting papers to me to sign some cases in emergency ward.

My phone rang and I saw it as Arjun.
" Hey Meera ! Were you sleeping?." He asked me.

"No. I am at hospital , there are so many cases tonight . I am glad I took this shift." I said sitting on some bench in corridor.

" Don't stress yourself. I just reached airport . Checking in now . Will be there soon." he happily. Hearing his words made my day. I feel my stress has been relieved completely.

"Mam , you need to come. One of your patients condition is severe. " some nurse informed me.

"Take care Meera , I will message you okay?. Bye " he said .

" Bye . Eat something . Take care." I said disconnecting our call .

I walked with nurse and saw staff trying to get his breathing even . He's again suffering from cardiac arrest. I immediately attended him . We did some tests and I suggested that he should be operated as soon as possible. Asking my nurse to prepare him for surgery i walked back to emergency ward.

There was continuous sound of ambulance siren . I saw small children along with some adults being wheeled inside the hospital . Turns out there's some gas leak and accident happened.

It was most busiest night I have ever seen . Sanjana grabbed me a sandwich I ate it looking at some papers which are to be signed by me to shift patients from emergency ward to their respective departments. Akash was busy handling injured children.

I went to my cabin and changed my clothes getting ready to operate on my patient, I looked at my clock and saw that it's showing two in the night. Can't help it ! I have to perform immediate surgery !

I prepared  myself and opened my cabin and found my brother along with khushi , Akash and sanjana all having worried expression on their faces. I stood there looking at them confused.

" What happened.?" I asked them.

They were hesitant to answer but when they tried got interrupted by nurse .

" Mam we prepared patient. She's waiting. " she informed me .

" What happened guys ? Speak fast I need to attend surgery . It may take three hours or more. " I asked them again.

" It's missing." my brother said which doesn't make any sense.

" What is missing.?" I asked him now being really impatient.

" His plane is missing Meera." Akash said and my world just stood still .

" We are trying to track it with the help of officials but it's now where found." Sid said walking towards me.

" Mam patient just had another attack, baby's pulse is weak, i have informed cardiac surgeon, he needs you there!" nurse informed me.

Indeed I have an heart attack now .

"Mam!" She called out and I looked at her blankly.

" Meera listen to me. You don't worry nothing will happen to him. They say it's bad weather out there." Khushi said coming closer to me holding my arms .

Are they joking? I am not mood to listen to such jokes.

" Shh dont cry . Please be strong. Meera.!" Sid said holding me .
I pushed him away and walked far a bit . I can't imagine they will pull out such a sick joke on me .

" I don't know what you mean by his flight is missing! Dont play with me! I am going into surgery. !" With that said I ran from them .

I don't know what should I feel now? What should I do now? I can't back out and kill that patient nor I can believe that he's gone forever ! .

I walked into operation theatre and looked at everyone and the family sitting outside the door praying for this woman's wellness .

Wish I could do that for him!

I decided to save her life no matter what happens. Atleast she has choice to live and I am going to make her choose that .

I just hope they are joking . I want him back . I don't even know if he read my confession or not ! I just love him too much to loose him like this !
