"Mantel 51."

A voice said over the airship's radio.

"welcome home."

Ruby saw the guns pointed at them and the soldiers were lined up in rows ready to take them down. Maria let out an annoyed groan.

"we haven't even landed yet and we're already being treated like fugitives."

"Technically we did steal one of their ships so their actions are justified.

Jaune added.

"And who's bright idea was that?"

Weiss asked looking at him.

"Well we obviously didn't have a better idea!"

Weiss was about to say something until she saw Ironwood come running out wearing his pajamas and a coat holding a piece of paper in his hand.

"HOLD YOUR FIRE!!!!"

He shouted.

"General?"

Asked a blonde haired female soldier.

"Hawkeye do what he says."

Said a man with black hair and black eyes.

"Hold your fire!"

Shouted Ironwood again frantically while running around.

"Code 009! I repeat code 009!"

Shouted Ironwood into the radio as his voice came through all of the radios belonging to the soldiers.

The soldiers put their weapons down and the other ships started to land. Ironwood turned to all of his soldiers.

"You're all dismissed!"

Said Ironwood saluting the soldiers.

The other soldiers cleared out except for the raven haired man and the young female blonde soldier. Ironwood then spoke into the radio and his voice came through the speakers on the ship.

"Please land the ship so we can have a peaceful discussion."

Said Ironwood.

Maria started grumbling as she lowered the ship onto the snowy ground in front of the military base. Ruby and her teammates started whispering to each other.

"What do you think is going on?"

Blake asked almost in a whisper.

"I dunno..."

Said Ruby sounding worried.

"It doesn't look good."

Yang added.

Maria let Team RWBY, Team JNR, Oscar, and Qrow out of the ship.

"Please Park the wayward ship in it's parking slot before exiting."

Irownood commanded.

Maria grumbled but did as she was told. She started the ship up again and left to go park. Qrow walked over to Ironwood and started laughing when he saw Ironwood in his pajamas.

"Nice look Jimmy!"

Qrow scoffed

"Qrow."

Said Ironwood sternly.

Qrow quit laughing and the army general cleared his throat.

"I've received your letter, and it arrived very late so I did not know your reason for stealing one of my ships until this letter arrived. And Ms. Rose, my apologies for the hostile welcome you and comrades have received."

Ironwood added.

"Oh it's alright..."

Said Ruby quietly.

Winter exited the military base and came out from behind Ironwood. She looked over at Qrow and had a smug expression on her face.

"You're lucky one of the general's top ranking officers relayed me your situation. For the first time ever you've gotten extremely lucky. My fellow soldiers and I would've had you and your band of thieves in handcuffs being escorted to one of atlas's prisons immediately!"

Said Winter smugly.

Qrow glared at her.

"No one asked you ice queen!"

Qrow yelled.

"Excuse me-"

Ironwood cleared his throat interrupting the two and cutting Winter off.

"Winter please."

Said Ironwood.

Winter stopped and clasped her hands together behind her back.

"You and your students did steal one of my ships."

Said Ironwood.

Maria has finished landing the ship and started walking towards the group but she was saying some not nice things under her breath. Weiss smiled at her sister trying to break the silence.

"Winter-"

Winter was not smiling.

"Not now sister. We will discus this horrid act of thievery later."

Said Winter firmly.

Weiss felt her smile fade and she looked at her heeled shoes. Winter then turned around to face her sister's teammates.

"Now which one of you dragged my sister into your act of thievery?!"

Shouted Winter.

Winter then turned her attention to Qrow.

"It was you wasn't it?! I should've known! You've been nothing but trouble since-"

"Officer Schnee you will take the lamp Ms. Rose is holding to my office."

Said Ironwood.

"But sir-"

Ironwood gave her a look. Winter sighed but obeyed and walked over to collect the relic from Ruby.

"Wait. Can't I hold onto it?"

Ruby asked while holding the lamp close to her chest.

"It is best if I hold onto it. I have a safe place for it in my study."

Said Ironwood.

Ironwood seemed a little paranoid about something

"Sir-"

Ruby was cut off when Winter took the lamp from her and started taking it to Ironwood's study. Ruby looked at Qrow as if asking what to do.

"Jimmy c'mon. You can trust these kids."

Qrow argued.

"You can't trust anyone these days. Especially with-"

"Salem! Yeah Jimmy we know! They know!"

"Wait?! You told them?! Qrow-"

"These aren't ordinary kids! They have shown exceptional skills and have proven to be very trustworthy."

Ironwood glared at Qrow.

"And stealing one of my ships exhibits  trustworthy behavior?"

Ironwood argued.

"You didn't give us a choice!"

Ruby joined in.

"Yeah Jimmy!!! My niece has a point! How the hell were we supposed to get the lamp here?! You shut down all the borders and cut off communication with everyone! How else were we supposed to get back to you?!"

Qrow argued.

"You could've waited for the letter to get here-"

"There was no guarantee that the letter would even get to you and we don't have the luxury to wait James!!!! She's planning her next attack right now as we speak and we have no idea when she'll make her next move!!!! For all we know Atlas could be next!"

Qrow shouted angrily.

"Atlas is strong! In fact it's one of the safest places in the world-"

"You shouldn't say that! We thought beacon was strong but look what happened! You were there! You saw all the Grimm she's created! She's gotten stronger James! She's made her move and she almost took down Mistral too so don't you dare say that Atlas won't be next!"

Said Qrow angrily.

"Even if she tries she'll fail! We are the most technologically advanced kingdom and have the largest army in the world! It'll take a lot for her to take Atlas down! I took extreme measures to ensure the safely of my people-"

"And look how it turned out for you Jimmy! Someone hacked into your androids and was able to have them attack innocent people!!! They could do it again-"

"But they won't!"

"You don't know that! She clearly has someone who is very knowledgeable about hacking on her side! For all we know he could be one of your toy soldiers!"

Said Qrow.

Ironwood's facial expression darkened and he got extremely close to Qrow.

"Are you suggesting that one my men is working for HER?! Every solider I have on my side has an exceptionally clean record! I made sure of that! My soliders are upstanding and loyal men and women they would never betray my trust!"

Ironwood argued.

"We thought Headmaster lionheart was too-"

Weiss elbowed Yang in the stomach preventing her from finishing her sentence.

"Qrow, you told me that Lionheart died protecting the school! Did you lie to me?!"

Qrow sadly sighed.

"Yes I did! I lied but-"

"I KNEW that we couldn't trust him Qrow! I knew something wasn't right but yet again all of you REFUSE to listen to me until it's too late!"

Said Ironwood.

"Oh shut up James don't act all high and mighty! You're the one who's acting like a coward and hiding behind this big wall surrounding your kingdom!"

Said Qrow.

"We're done with this discussion Qrow!"

Said Ironwood.

Ironwood cleared his throat.

"Please follow me inside my mansion."

Said Ironwood.

The man with dark hair stood next to Ironwood and the female blonde solider Hawkeye, flanked his other side

Ironwood led them to a large mansion, which was only a five minute walk from the base and he knocked on the door. A women with long dark hair opened the door and let them inside.

The mansion was extravagant with shiny floors and clean white walls held up by tall white pillars.

"Thank you Emily."

Said Irownood to the house keeper.

Emily nodded and stepped aside to let them in.

A women wearing fur boa and a revealing black maxi dress with a glass of wine in her velvet gloved hand came cascading down the stairs. Her black hair was pulled up into a tight bun and her black eyes were fixated on the large group entering the mansion.

"James dear, who are all these people? Don't tell me they're staying in our home."

The women looked about in her mid forties but she already looked like she was aging quickly. She had grey streaks in her hair peeking out from her bun.

"Why is she wearing that in the middle of the night?"

Yang whispered to Blake.

Blake shrugged.

"Adri, this is Qrow Branwen from Beacon academy in Vale, and these are the students that are traveling with him,"

Ironwood explained to his wife.

"You'll have to keep your animals outside."

Said Adriana referring to Blake.

"Adri, please these are our guests."

Said Ironwood.

Blake felt her ears lower in embarrassment

"Fine. Just keep her away from my valuables. I know your kind likes to take things that don't belong to them."

Said Adriana taking a sip from her glass.

Yang was about to say something but Weiss cut her off.

"I don't like what you're insinuating about my teammate!"

Said Weiss firmly.

Adrianna took another sip from her wine glass.

"I would expect better from a Schnee. Siding with the animals beneath you is completely unacceptable behavior for a young lady of your status."

Said Adrianna firmly.

"Well you're being rude and very shallow to your guests which is very unbecoming for women of your stature Lady Adrianna."

Adrianna almost choked on her wine and Yang let out a small and quiet giggle but she stopped when Ruby elbowed her causing her to cease with her giggling. Adrianna then shot Weiss an icy cold cold glare with her black hues.

"I suggest that you learn your place girl."

Said Adrianna sternly.

Winter then emerged from Ironwood's office and quickly walked down the other staircase.

"I would appreciate it if you would not talk to my sister in that manner."

Said Winter sternly to Adrianna.

"It's very apparent that your sister's uncouth behavior comes from socializing with..."

Adrianna turned to Ruby, Blake, and Yang and then cleared her throat.

"The lower class. It's unbecoming of a Schnee. I'm surprised Jaques would allow such a thing."

Adrianna replied.

Winter clenched her fists.

"It's none of your business what my father does or does not allow you cold hearted wench-"

"That's enough Ms. Schnee! Your presence is no longer needed here. Please report back to base at once."

Said Ironwood firmly.

"But sir-"

"Go! Before I dock money from your next paycheck Ms. Schnee!"

Ironwood scolded.

Winter turned to Adrianna and gave her a cold glare while Adrianna had a smug look on her face as if she had achieved some sort of victory. Winter walked past Adrianna and started heading back to base. Weiss looked down at the ground and started rocking back and forth on her heels.

Weiss looked up and saw a girl with long shaggy blue hair and piercing yellow eyes. She watching from the balcony above but was pushed aside as two girls walked down the stairs.

They both looked groggy but looked almost identical. Both girls had jet black hair. one was wearing a mint green nightgown while the other girl was wearing a light pink one. One had long curly hair and the other had long straight hair. Both of them were very attractive young girls with alluring blue eyes and fair skin.

"Mother what's with all of this unnecessary noise?"

Asked the girl in the mint green nightgown.

"These are my daughters. Annabella and Giselle. Girls these are your father's guests."

The girl with the straight black hair wearing the mint green nightgown looked very snobby and entitled, while the young girl wearing the light pink night gown with black ringlet curls looked quiet and shy.

"Mother why on earth would father let these peasants stay in our home?!"

Gisele shrieked.

"Peasants really?"

Yang muttered to Ruby.

"Oh Gisele please where are your manners. Show some atlesian hospitality."

Said Ironwood.

"Yeah and coming at us with the your armada was one hell of a way to say hello!"

Said Qrow sarcastically.

Ironwood glared at Qrow and rolled his eyes.

"Please make yourselves welcome. Emily will show you to your rooms upstairs."

Said Ironwood before heading to his study.

Jaune looked over and saw faint bloodstains on the door that looked like it lead to the basement.

"What's with the bloodstains on the door?"

Asked Jaune nervously.

"One of our servants fell down the stairs. It was a terrible accident."

Said Ironwood.

"No it wasn't."

Said the girl with the messy blue hair and wearing a nightgown with black grease stains on it.

"Jennifer we will not discuss this any further!"

Ironwood snapped.

"Well you're lying-"

"JENNIFER!!!!"

Ironwood shouted angrily.

The girl looked angry and she stomped off and she pushed past him with a scowl on her face before slamming the door to her bedroom down the hall.

"James what the hell was that girl talking about?!"

Qrow Asked.

"It's nothing! And I don't wish to talk about it any further! Now I'm going back to bed!"

Said Ironwood coldly stomping up the stairs.

Adrianna and her daughters followed closely behind him.

"Well... welcome to atlas folks."

Said Qrow while downing the alcohol that was in his flask.

Meanwhile Ironwood was pacing back and forth in his study. He looked down at the note he received from Cinder Fall. It was a threat that she would expose his secret to all of atlas.

"Gods... This can't get out..."

Ironwood muttered to himself.

"You know I can help you with your little problem."

Ironwood jumped and Arthur Watts was standing there with a handgun in his right hand.

"Arthur?! What the hell are you doing here at this hour?! You said you wouldn't come unannounced-"

"That's not important. And I do apologize for barging in unannounced but it seems that Ms. Fall is causing you some unnecessary problems. I mean if it gets out that you had ownership of a slave... Well... I can already see what a scandal it would be. And the council doesn't like scandals James."

Said Watts with a smug look on his face.

"First of all this is my wife's fault! I'm not the one who bought Cinder and beat her-"

"The law doesn't see it that way. You stayed silent while your wife went to town on the poor girl. Just like what happened when Jaques wronged me. I see a pattern here James."

Said Watts while polishing his gun with a mustard colored handkerchief in his coat pocket.

"There's nothing I could've done-"

"Of course there was! You're nothing but a coward! By the Gods you're a damn military general! You're supposed to help people but all you do is cower and hide behind your damn androids! You didn't help me and I lost everything because of my wretched brother in law and you didn't do anything even though you knew the truth and yet you did absolutely nothing!"

Watts snapped.

"Keep your voice down! The children-"

"I know! Salem knows they're here."

Said Watts casually while adjusting his leather gloves.

"Look I can take care of Ms. Fall. Pekka Rollins and I are on fairly good terms-"

"You're involving the a former member of the mafia and leader of one of the most dangerous gangs in your scheme?! That'll go wonderfully! Let me know how this turns out."

Said Ironwood attempting to walk away.

Watts growled and grabbed his shoulder.

"You're not going anywhere. We had a deal. I would keep quiet about what happened with Jaques and I in exchange for the relic of knowledge as well as the relic of creation."

Said Watts.

"And I will keep my end of the bargain."

Said Ironwood.

"Good. I'm just here to make sure that you're not backing out."

Said Watts.

"I'm not."

Said Ironwood.

"Splendid. Now about Ms. Fall-"

"I'll take care of it."

Said Ironwood cutting him off.

"Oh please! You can't even control your daughter and get her to behave properly."

Said Watts with an eye roll.

"I am aware that she is close to Ms. Fall."

"Arthur I will take care of it. I'm going to have her join my side. I know what transpired on top of that tower I can expunge her record. I'm sure that would appeal to her-"

"Oh James. She's just like her father. She's a stubborn girl. She hates Ozpin and despises you: What on remnant makes you think that she'd willingly join you and the children? You really are ignorant. And after what your wife did to her while you just stood and watched... I really don't blame her for despising you."

Said Watts.

"Well if you have a better idea I'd love to hear it!"

Said Ironwood firmly.

"Oh James. I already have my plan set into motion. Besides this is Wendy's concern not your's."

Said Watts.

"I can't believe that you'd turn to Salem-"

"Salem helped me while you didn't."

"What's going to happen after you get your revenge?!"

"That doesn't matter. It's important that Jaques gets what's coming to him!"

"You've always had such a temper but I'd never thought that you would ever actually stoop as low as to murdering him."

Watts smirked.

"People change James."

"It's really disappointing you turned out this way."

Said Ironwood.

"And you're partially to blame. You could've helped me but you decided to save your own skin. Just like you did with Cinder. It's a shame really."

Said Watts bitterly.

"You and Wendy are just horrid people! Cinder was under Wendy's control using a parasite Grimm and you took part in verbally abusing her. I am not excusing what I did but that's an all new low. Even for you. I'm sure it'll come back to bite you."

Said Ironwood.

"Oh don't turn this back on Wendy and I. Cinder's pathetic. I absolutely despise her. In my opinion salem should've killed her a long time ago but I suppose having her on her side is better than on the opposing side. She's very strong. Just Hajime was."

Said Watts Taunting him.

"Shut up!"

Shouted Irownood.

"I mean I can't believe that you would hold a dear friend's own daughter captive in your house as a slave, now that is a very horrid act."

"Arthur that's enough!"

"You might as well have taken part in the abuse. You let it happen. You didn't go to the authorities. You were a coward James. You're scared of your own wife-"

"I am not!!!!"

Ironwood shouted slamming his hands on his desk.

Watts cleared his throat and smirked.

"My offer to take care of Cinder is still on the table-"

"I have that under control! I am not going to let you kill her! The least I can do for Hajime is to protect her from her and that horrid women!"

"Wendy will not be happy to hear this."

Said Watts.

"For all I care she can burn in Hell and I hope she does one day."

Said Ironwood angrily.

"Oh please. You think Wendy's horrible? This is quite humorous. You did nothing to help Cinder and now all of sudden you want to make amends with her? I really do wish you the best of luck with that James I truly do. You have quite a war on your hands."

Said Watts exiting Ironwood's study. 

Watts left the study feeling confident he felt someone bump into him and he looked down to see Jaune Arc.

"Oh um... Sorry I'm just lost..."

Said Jaune.

"Yes. The general's house is quite large."

Said Watts.

"I um... Heard a lot of shouting in there. Is everything okay-"

"Oh it's nothing. James and I were just having a heated debate that's all."

Said Watts.

Watts looked down at the sword tucked into Jaune's sheath.

"That's quite a fine weapon you have there."

Said Watts.

"Oh thanks... It was my grandfather's."

Said Jaune.

"Is alright if I take a look at it? You know I'm quite with a sword myself."

Asked Watts.

"I wouldn't necessarily call myself skilled but um... Yeah I wouldn't mind."

Said Jaune.

Jaune pulled out his word and handed it to Watts. Watts held it up and saw the reflection of a red headed girl in the blade.

"Yes... This quite a fine weapon in deed young man. It some nice gold accents. It's a fine piece of metal indeed."

Said Watts handing it back to him.

"Oh um... Thank you sir."

Watts glanced down at his pocket watch.

"Well I must be going. It was nice to meet you young man."

Said Watts giving him a wave small wave.

"I guess I'll see you around then."

Said Jaune.

"I suppose you will."

Said Watts with his back turned to Jaune.

He had a wicked smile on his face but Jaune didn't notice as he headed back to his own room. Watts then took out his scroll and dialed Wendy's number into his scroll and she immediately answered.

"Well?! Was the aura transfer successful?!"

Asked Wendy frantically.

"Unfortunately yes my dear. While I despise Cinder, I do commend her on being able to break out of the Parasite grim's control and successfully complete an aura transfer in such a short amount of time. It's quite impressive to say the least."

Said Watts.

"That little brat! Salem will not be pleased!"

Said Wendy.

"Yes but if the sword is destroyed then Pyrrha's aura will no longer be able to stay in the sword and when that happens she can't be brought back."

Said Watts.

"Well then get on with it-"

"This is not my problem dear. It's yours and I'm sure that you can deal with that scrawny kid easily."

Said Watts.

Wendy smirked.

"It'll be like taking candy from a baby."

Said Wendy while primping in the mirror.

"How are things at the Schnee estate?"

Asked Watts.

"Draining. Very draining. Jaques is dumber than sack of rocks. How long do I have to keep up with this charade?"

"Long enough for us to complete the plan. We're only on stage one my dear. Just hold out a little longer."

Said Watts.

"I miss you Arthur. I had fun last night."

Said Wendy in an alluring tone.

Watts's face turned a bright red and he growled.

"Please Wendy now is not the time to talk about this!"

Watts snapped.

"Well when can we talk about it?"

"When we're not in the middle of a mission."

Said Watts hanging up.

Watts slid the scroll into his coat pocket and headed back to his main base of operation. He looked back at the door of Ironwood's study and he had a twisted smile on his face.

"Jacques's not the only one who's going to get what's coming to him."
