Jessa LeDexe: Secret Agent
This is the story of Queen Saralee's mother before she was Queen Saralee's mother. This is the story of a young Lessaenite operative with an obsession...
Jessa LeDexe: Secret Agent.
Ships sailed: Kharilyn

*Jessalyn Ann LeDexe*
The year is 2016. The month is November. It's almost election night, but that's besides the point. What we really want to pay attention to today is a skinny seventeen year old girl who is currently getting off a plane in Houston, Texas. She wears a blue knit cap over her midnight black hair, a blue hoodie with nondescript silver print, and tight black jeans.
However, Jessalyn Ann LeDexe, Imperial operative and famed secret agent, does nothing without purpose. The sleeves of her hoodie are just long enough to conceal the tiny Aurascreen attached to her wrist, recording everything around her.
She turns in a slow circle, admiring the long, open hall filled with little stores and chairs that she has been told is called an airport. Similar to a Lessaenite spaceport, but without the ability to leave the planet.
The inhabitants of Earth are everywhere, going about their everyday business. None of them gives Jessa a second glance.
She can't believe it.
She is surrounded by aliens.
She is in uncharted territory.
She is on a new planet...teeming with new life.
King Vilariel could have chosen any of thousands of agents for this mission, yet he chose her. Of course, despite the fact that she greatly appreciated the opportunity, she hadn't paid any attention to the King as he gave her the details of her mission. She had been too busy staring at his son and trying not to drool.
Prince Khariel.
A smile crosses her lips as she remembers the time she got to see the most perfect male being in existence with her own eyes.
He might've even smiled at her, a little.
Or maybe that had just been her crazy imagination acting up.
She dismisses all thoughts of Khariel from her mind- although that is not an easy task for a fangirl of her caliber- and focuses on her mission. She must explore as much of the new planet as possible. She must give the King the information he needs to make any detailed decisions regarding Earth.
However, her Aurascreen once again draws her into her fantasy world.
New post from @Khariel_Arystenn
An AuraNet+ post. From the handsome prince to end all handsome princes.
The top secret Imperial mission can wait.
Jessa hurriedly sits down in the nearest chair and opens the AuraNet+ app to read the post.
Khariel_Arystenn: Well, my wedding's scheduled to be in three years. No, that's not crazy, it's normal for Royal weddings to be planned really far in advance.
We've got the venue, the theme, the decorations, and the list of invitees.
There's just one thing that's still missing.
Who's gonna be my princess? 😉
Comments (see 1030 more):
Mrs. Arystenn: I'M COMING BABY!!
AreshkaCutie: MEEE! 😍😍😍😍 I've luvd u for years now.
Lola_the_fangirl: U my fairytale ending, come take ur princess home.
Jessa sighs. She should've known better than to blindly click on the post.
She has three years.
Just three years before some pretty noble gets her prince.
But that's not what she should be thinking about right now. She chides herself for her inattentiveness and continues to explore the airport.
"The humans seem to have a dull, primitive version of almost everything on Lessaenes. Their different sizes of "Aurascreens" appear to have different names. The smallest are called phones, the slightly larger ones are tablets, larger still are computers, and the largest are televisions. However, they are not Aura-based. They run on some other, more physical power source that is yet to be discovered. 87% of passerby carry some sort of food or drink in their hand. It seems as if edible commodities are a significant part of this planet's culture," she thinks, allowing her thoughts to be transferred to her mission log, which transmits directly to Aurascreens in Icicle Hall.
She wonders if the King is reading her log right now, and if someone else, perhaps, is reading it beside him.
She pictures Prince Khariel reading her words as she writes them, and it's the best thing she's ever imagined.
But who is she kidding? The Prince has much more interesting things to do than read boring mission logs, like going to rich people parties with his latest snobby girlfriend.
Her thoughts are interrupted by a CT.
Khariel Arystenn: Agent LD? What improper things to enter in your log.
The first thing that hits her is the fact that Prince Khariel just CT'd her.
The second thing that hits her is the realization that she had just transmitted all of those thoughts to Icicle Hall.
Jessalyn Ann LeDexe: I am so gravely sorry, Your Highness. This is an immense source of embarrassment. I completely understand if you wish to suspend my mission.
Khariel Arystenn: Actually, I was going to say that I agree. Tenesha Valior is such a tasteless snob. I'm only dating her because of my dad. But don't tell anyone I said that or it will be a disgrace to the royal family or something like that...
Jessa's heartbeat grows faster by the second. She can't believe what she has read.
The AuraNet's favorite couple, Khanesha, isn't real???
Khariel Arystenn: And thank you for your service to the Empire. We royals may be too busy to tell you, but people like you are appreciated.
And this is the moment at which Jessalyn's fangirl soul rockets straight to heaven and back.
She is appreciated...by Prince Khariel!!
She wants to do a happy dance on the spot, but realizes that she already probably looks like a total idiot, staring into her sleeve with a dreamy smile on her face.
"Let's do this thing, Agent LD," Jessa grins, stepping behind a large pillar before popping an invisibility pill in her mouth. She darts across the floor with the agility of a snake, avoiding bumping into the humans- which is fairly hard, as some of them are running.
Unlike missing a hovercraft on Lessaenes, where the next craft comes ten minutes later, Jessa has learned that missing a flight on Earth is a pretty huge deal.
Overall, the humans are slow, technologically inferior creatures with the intelligence of lekken. Jessa knows that when they find out about this, the Arystenns are going to want to conquer Earth and add it to the Lessaenite Empire.
Because that's just how the Arystenns are.
Khariel Arystenn: I'm still receiving your thoughts, Agent LD. Watch your mouth.
Jessa swallows hard, her fingers shaking as she tries to type a suitable response.
Jessalyn Ann LeDexe: Thoughts are difficult things to control. I apologize for letting my mind wander once again, Your Highness.
Khariel Arystenn: Your mind always seems to wander to either me or my family. Is that just a coincidence, or...? 😉😏
And this is the CT that permanently destroys Jessalyn LeDexe's ability to concentrate on her mission.
