BELLA

I watched as my mate flew with his wings wide open. They were raven in colour and looked beautiful under the moonlight and stars.

I tried to gaze down and noticed there were only trees covering the ground.

Inferis was like an ancient Earth. With less number of two-legged creatures and more of animals and plants.

I felt complete, I felt satisfied after confessing everything from my heart.

The look on Xanthos faces when I admitted my feelings was something I would always want to see. I just hope all the chaos in our life would soon end.

"Bella?" Xanthos whispered.

I snuggled closer to him and hummed, "hmm?"

"Did you really mean what you said? I still can't believe it."

I smiled lightly and thought of playing with him but that would only lead in his emotions getting damaged which I didn't want to happen.

"I have said many things. Which one are you asking me?" Though I knew what he was asking, I feigned confusion.

"That you love me?"

I giggled at how cutely he asked me.

"I meant every single word, Leo. Your three souls are something that I would live with forever. You're pure and perfect with your own flaws." I traced his jaw with the hand which was free while the other hand was clutching his shoulder firmly.

There was a moment of silence between us. The wind stroked me lightly in the opposite direction. My ears felt as if someone was placing earplugs or cotton as the wind entered my ears.

I looked up at Xanthos and noticed his eyes were blue in colour.

I remembered the day we first kissed in this present life and noticed his eyes turning a different shade of blue. I didn't know what was the cause behind it but today, I did know why it was.

His eyes turned blue when all of his three souls merge together when he feels extreme emotions.

"We love you so much, mate."

I laughed. "I love you all more."

"We love you more."

"Both of us love each other--Ahhh!" I screamed when he drifted downwards.

I buried my face at the crook of his head. I felt his body shake lightly due to laughter.

I huffed and slowly looked down to only notice that we were safely on the ground.

"Your land was very bad," I muttered and shivered. He just shook his head and held me tightly to him. "Could you put me down? I can walk by myself."

"But you don't have anything on your foot to walk on." I opened my mouth to speak but he cut me off by pecking my lips. "Could you tell me how did you get in the condition you are? What happened in this month, mate?"

I bit my lip and stared at the night sky. I wanted to lie to him that I just rolled down the mud but I know it didn't sound believable. Also, what was there to hide if I love him.

I love him honestly and I would always be sincere to my love.

"I was transitioned from the packhouse of yours to Emmanual Forts by Annalisa. She helped me in collecting all my past memories. At last, she herself tried killing me by locking me with familiar vampire women who tried to kill me. I reached Emmanual Forts and got the shocking news of Draco making Annalisa as his queen."

"You met him?" He asked stressing the word 'him' in disgust.

I nodded my head and continued. "I was sent to prison by Draco. He asked Anna to lock me and meet him. I didn't know why, but Anna was acting differently. Her steps and the way she spoke was robotic like...as if she has been compelled by someone. She acted rudely and has been assisting Draco for years."

"You can't expect her to stay the same after so many years," Xanthos said staring straightly. He clenched his jaw and continued, "you were in a prison?"

''Yeah for two days. I planned how to escape and also made two friends and an enemy type stranger."

"That half-naked guy?" He asked scowling.

I laughed and nodded my head. "Don't scowl. He was just some other person for me. The only person I love is you." Instantly, his face brightened. He pecked my cheeks and my lips. "By the way, where are we?" I asked as I looked around.

"We're near others but then in a different territory.''

"Oh. Why're we separate from them?"

"If we would go there, people might recognise and I have a feeling that the others would have got caught by the 'Unity' clan. However, we need to go there so that we could get away from all the wild rogue beasts roaming around." He whispered. I nodded my head in understanding before resting myself completely in his arms. "Hey, Bella?"

"Hmm?"

"I need to umm, mark you." He hesitated.

I jolted my eyes open and looked at me.

"It's fine with me but then why this sudden decision?"

"We can't just roam around here with you being just a human. If I would mark you, you would gain some power from me. Also, our bond would grow stronger which would make it easier for us to communicate through our minds. I know it's going to be hectic for us. My other two inner souls are troubling me to claim what's ours as they don't want to lose you...again."

"But how can you mark me here?" I asked looking at the surroundings.

He chuckled.

"As I have the soul of a demon, I needn't have intercourse with you. You've just turned eighteen in this month--"

"What?!" My eyes widened. "I never knew my birthday as passed away? Wow. So...I'm an adult?" I narrowed my eyes. "How do you know about my birthday?"

He smirked. "Students bio-data card." He shrugged his shoulders."What I'm trying to say is that if you want we can make love with each other as we now know that we both like one another with me loving you ever since you stepped on Earth. What do you say?"

I made a puking expression and shook my head. "You're a tar minded." I punched his shoulder. He laughed and walked towards a big tree. "Do you think Draco must have sensed my escape and you coming here?"

His grimaced. "He's playing some game with us. However, I would make sure to take advantage of it." He paused. "If he can play a game, I can make sure I would play too." He sat down on the ground with me still in his arms.

"So, is me getting marked a part of your game?" I asked with a frown.

"Of course not, my love. This is for our benefit."

He brought his face close to mine and lightly pressed his lips against mine.

The silence around us was peaceful yet unrestful. I felt scared to get bitten but this was for us.

He peppered kisses all the way down the crook of my neck and paused. "I'm sorry, love. But it's going to pain." He kissed one last time at the place where my pulse was running fast before sinking his sharp fangs.

I bit my bottom lip from shouting and pinched continuously on Xanthos's other arm which was snaked around my waist.

I whimpered when the pain increased. "X-Xa--" I gradually felt myself lose my consciousness.

He licked the bite and kissed it one more time. Scooping me up properly, he stood up.

"It's paining--"

"Sleep, mate." 

"Bu--"

"Sleep. You would no longer be a normal human."

The last thing I saw before losing my conscious was a pair of blue eyes.
