"What if we just combined out money, gave it to the school and took the chocolate for ourselves?" My best friend, Leo, had suggested.
I hummed, "sounds tempting."
"So, a yes?"
"No."
I pointed at an old house with overgrown grass and siding that was peeling off the house.
"That house. Does anyone live there?" I asked.
"That really creepy old man who's wife went missing lives there." Leo replied.
"Okay so maybe not that house." I swerved away from the house slightly.
"Doesn't Jack live down this road?"
Leo rolled his head and looked at me.
"Jack A. Or Jack K."
"Jackson K." I replied
"Eww Y/N."
I rolled your head the way Leo had and looked at him. "Let's go sell him some chocolate."
"Noo"
"Why?"
"Ehhh.." Leo squirmed like he was disgusted and gagged.
I laughed "be nice!"
"He probably has his own chocolate to sell"
I nodded in agreement.
"Oh! Don't the Chases live there? Let's sell them chocolate."
We swerved to the left into their driveway.
Leo tapped his fist on the door and a moment later a blonde girl our age opened the door.
Leo dramatically dropped to his knees like he was worshiping. "Please! Buy our chocolates! We're desperate homeless kids!"
"No we're not!" I kicked Leo.
The blonde girl smiled.
"I'll be back."
A moment later Mr. Chase was at the door with his wallet. He grabbed a handful of chocolate bars. "How much would this handful be?" He asked.
"Eh fifteen dollars maybe?"
Mr. Chase pulled out a twenty and handed it to me.
"Keep the change."
"Thank you Mr. Chase! Thank you!" Leo and I had said as we left.
Leo grabbed my hand and squeezed it in excitement. "We sold like eight bars just now!"
"We still have like 40 left to go!" I said
Leo frowned and let go of my hand to cross his arms. "We'll fine. If you wanna be a pessimist."
I laughed and pointed down another street. "My crush lives down that road."
Leo looked at me then down the road and nodded. "Let's go sell 'em some chocolate then."
I smiled. "I dunno, Leo."
"Go, go!" He pushed.
We walked a minute down the street until I stopped at a house and pointed at it. "This is his house."
Leo looked at me. "What do you mean?"
"What?" I blushed
He frowned. "Y/N, This is my house."
