9 years ago, the Seven plus Reyna, Thalia, Will, Nico and Calypso went on a road trip for a year. Leo made a van especially for the road trip. The year was spent traveling from New Rome to Camp Half-Blood, with many, many detours along the way.

Percy proposed to Annabeth at the Marin County spring fair, and two months later, Annabeth discovered she was pregnant with twins!

Their names are Charlotte and Zoella Jackson, mostly known as Charlie and Zoe.

So as you would probably know if you've read our last book, Leo and the Argonauts (I highly recommend it *wink wink*, even though it's not even finished but oh well, what can you do), AwesomeNird and her sister (yours truly, ObliviaSparkleberry)

"...and so your Grandma, my mum, Sally Jackson, wrote the books about our adventures with all the Greek and Roman myths," Percy told his eight-year-old children.

"Daddy! We've heard this before!" huffed Charlie.

"Shush, Charlie! But Dad, why does it say Rick Riordan on the front?" asked Zoe.

"Because that was her fake name. She didn't want the spotlight, she just wanted to realise her dream to write books," explained Percy. "My step-dad, Paul, pretended to be Rick at all the meet-and-greets and signings."

"That's clever," grinned Zoe. One of her teeth was missing, so there was a large gap in the side. 

"And now..." Percy started, "It's time for - "

"Dawwww, it's not even that late, Dad - " Charlie protested

"Yes it is," said a tall, blonde lady, walking into the room. "It's so late, I'm going to bed soon."

Percy smiled up at Annabeth.

"I don't believe that for a second," he grinned.

"Ssssshh. They don't need to know that," Annabeth whispered back as Percy kissed Charlie and Zoe goodnight. Annabeth tucked them in carefully.

4 Years Later

"Mum! Dad!" yelled an exuberant Charlie as the door flew open with a bang. "We're home!"

"I can't wait to spend the Christmas holidays in New Rome!" said Zoe, looking at the glowing tree in the corner of the lounge room.

"Come and give me a hug!" called Annabeth from the kitchen. There was the promising smell of spaghetti bolognaise coming from the kitchen and as Annabeth smothered them both in a hug, Zoe saw that her dad was cooking dinner.

"How was the bus, you two?" he asked.

"Fun!" replied Zoe. "We practically had a party! Although Charlie-poo here just listened to music the whole time."

"Ha-ha," grumbled Charlie, but the rest of the family saw the sparkle in her eyes.

"C'mon, girls. TV tea!" said Annabeth, ushering them into the den. Their whole apartment was huge and open-plan, so the 'den' was really just a corner with a TV and millions of beanbags. Charlie grabbed two and plopped one on top of the other, flumping down on them. Zoe sat neatly in hers and began to eat her dinner.

Time skip cause I can't be bothered thinking up small talk

"So, Mum and Dad," said Charlie with such officiality (is that even a word? It should be.) that it felt ominous. "I've had an idea."

"Yes?" asked Percy and Annabeth at the exact same time.

"You know how I've basically spent my whole life at Camp Half-Blood...?" Charlie paused for a moment.

Charlie's POV

"You know how I've basically spent my whole life at Camp Half-Blood...?" I pause for a second, but it feels like hours. I know Mum and Dad will be so disappointed, because they're both Greek, and...

Right, Charlie. Let's get this over with.

"I want to try out the Legion." There. I've said it.

Somehow they don't look as disappointed as I thought they would.

"Oh, darling, if that's what you want, that's wonderful!" says Mum.

"You can see us more! And sleep here on the weekends!" Dad's grin is so wide it's like in those cartoons, where it fills up their whole face.

And then I spot Zoe.

Zoe's POV

She told me on the bus. I didn't believe her at first, reminded her the minimum service was five years, but she didn't listen. I'll miss having her. 

I don't want her to go. I'll miss her grinning face at the window of the Athena cabin at five in the morning, miss her jokes and silly sarcastic t-shirts, miss her troublemaker grin and special evil laugh.

Nine months later

"Zoe! You're home!" called Charlie, racing out of the door as she saw the bus drop off her twin sister. "It's so good to see you!"

"You too! Oh, I missed you so much. Did you have fun in the barracks?" Zoe was jumping around.

"Yes, as always. But it would be much more fun with you there," Charlie put her head on the side. She had inherited her father's puppy dog eyes.

"Come on, Charlie. You know I like Camp Half-Blood better."

"Okay, I'll stop nagging," Charlie had seen her sister's face. "Jokes, I will never stop nagging you!"

Zoe have her a playful punch on the arm. "So, made any other friends?"

"Yeah, there's this nice girl called Telia, daughter of Ceres. She has a sister at CHB, called Skye. You know her?"

"I think she's the one Delta and Tanzy hang out with."

"Anyway, she has the bunk above me and she's already got a Mural Crown!"

"Ooooh! And you, missy, just got off probatio!" teased Zoe.

Charlie elbowed her.

"Hey! Okay, I guess we're evens now," giggled Zoe.

"Zoe!" said Percy, who had just appeared in the doorway. "How was camp?"
