the synopsis

            PEOPLE OFTEN SAY THAT Lenore Bisset is so sour because she's sucked on lemons long before she could speak. Without any extra money to buy candy, her misfortunate muggle parents resorted to giving her lemons instead. She scared away children on the playground, always licking at those small yellow slices until every drop was drained. Always alone beneath that large oak tree, clueless why she was so different than the other schoolchildren.

             So, when Lenore was invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, she took it as a sign to reinvent herself. No longer would she be lonely, mistreated, or destitute. Instead, she cast aside her muggleborn identity and told her new Slytherin friends she was a pureblood. For five years, no one questioned it. Her renowned ability to speak parseltongue seemed too great for a muggleborn witch to ever possess.

            Now, as Lenore attends her sixth year at Hogwarts, she is beginning to get uneasy. The rise of Lord Voldemort is more prominent than ever, and with a friend group full of pureblooded Slytherins ready to kill muggleborns and blood traitors at a word, her secret is no longer safe. Her heritage isn't a game anymore. It could potentially lead to her life or death.

           After an incident, Sirius Black somehow figures out Lenore's secret, leaving the girl in a position to either reason with him or have her whole life crumb before her eyes.

            How far will Lenore go to keep her secret safe? What happens if Lenore is exposed to her school and her friends? What will Lenore do when her feelings for Sirius Black become too overwhelming to ignore?
