Chapter 3
Ink ripped through the quaint buildings doors, sprinting to his car and quickly sat in the driver's seat. He sat in the seat breathing heavily; hands griping on the steering wheel with his head resting on the upper part of the steering wheel. Calming down from his panic. Once he was in the right head space he started the vehicle and drove home.
When he arrived home Ink scrambled out of his car, and into his house ignoring the miniature gaster blaster dragons that greeted him at the door, and ran into the bathroom immediately going to the medicine cabinet. One of his pet dragons pawed at his leg trying to tell him he needed the pills he was currently searching for, the other smaller dragon flew onto the counter watching him carefully to make sure he takes the correct pill. He rummaged through the cabinet in his panic knocking over various prescriptions with either pills or liquids.
Finally finding what he was searching for Ink quickly grabbed it from the cabinet, fumbled with the plastic pill bottle in his panic; hands hurriedly opening the bottle, and dumping a single pastel rainbow pill into his hands, then held his hand up to his mouth and tilted his head back letting the pill drop onto his tongue and swallowing. Breathing a sigh of relief he looked at his reflection seeing his eyelights change rapidly, no longer the white circular unfocused pinpricks they were before.
Sighing again contently he left the bathroom with his small pets following afterward, and sat on the couch located in the living room, he grabbed his phone and dialed his good friend Blue he needed to talk to someone after what had happened, and he knew Blue was just the monster to talk to. He went to the living room and sat on the couch, the worried gaster dragons joining him, he reassured them that he was alright while petting them. Ink stopped talking to the blasters but still petted them, when he heard Blues voice.
"Hello, this is the Book and Bakery what can I do for you?" Blue said cheerfully.
"Heh, hay blue." Ink said shakily.
"Oh it's you Ink! Are you okay, you sound pretty distressed." Blue said concerned.
"No. I apparently forgot to take my prescription this week, and panicked, then drove home as fast as I could, I'm still a little shaky is all." Ink said moving to pet the other boney dragon that was demanding his attention.
"Oh gosh did you take it when you got home? You know what could happen if you don't take it Ink." Blue said growing increasingly worried for Ink.
"I did, and trust me I know Blue, the doctor and the pharmacist made that pretty transparent." Ink sighed, he had a hour or longer, lecture from both the doctor and the pharmacist about his medicine and his illness.
"Sorry Ink I think we will have to cut this call short, I still have work to do." Blue said glumly. "Call me after work if you want okay?" He continued this time in an optimistic voice.
"Okay Blue, I'll call you later then." Ink said his voice now stable, he had calmed down considerably now that he had talked to his friend.
"Take care till then Ink. I'll send you something to get your mind off that." Blue cheered, happy he had helped his friend. Ink opened his mouth to retaliate, but before he could speak Blue hung up.
Ink sighed with a slight grin on his face, he was lucky to have a friend like Blue. He powered off his phone deciding he would just spend time with his small pet gaster dragons. He stopped petting the gaster dragons and stood up from his place on the couch, hearing the gaster dragons hop off the couch and follow him, he headed to the box of toys that sat up against one of the walls, and dug through it until he found a three way rope bone, the dragons quickly grabbed a end of the rope bone in their jaws as Ink and the dragons tugged on their respective ends, Ink of course not pulling too hard as not to hurt the gaster dragons teeth, but 30 minutes into their play session they were interrupted by a knock sounding at the door.
