(Hoseok's backstory)

Sometimes Hoseok's parents used to leave food for him but most of time they forgot. His mother has not been herself for as long as he knew the woman. She does not respond to him when he calls out for his mother. Every time Hoseok reaches out to touch his mother or help his mother in any way, the woman would throw a fit screaming yelling at him as if he was trash.

Sometimes when Hoseok's mother was too drunk or high on something and hadn't eaten much, Hoseok would go and scrap food from here and there to make meals for her ignoring he's own hunger. But she would throw the food out on the floor or into the bin, throwing things everywhere breaking plates, and pieces would fly and hurt Hoseok who would cower away in fear trembling behind the sofa or fridge or anything big enough that could hide his small frame.

Hoseok's father was hardly home and he warned the boy to stay clear from his sight because he could not bear to see his ugly face.

Still Hoseok would never trade his parents for anything and he loves them so very much.

The clothes he wears are always too big on him but he assumes his parent still care enough to buy him clothes although not his size and looked a bit outdated. His parents are very old to be parents but living in their town it's very common.

Sometimes Hoseok hears his mother crying calling out a particular male name while hugging his oversized clothes. Those clothes by the way he happens to discover them hidden away in the small room that his parents prohibit him from entering but he was too cold and the clothes he had been wearing are those that the neighbour who took care of him from the day he was born gave to him. But that was when he was 5 years old. Now that the neighbour lady is gone at the age of 5, Hoseok has outgrew those clothes so he went on a rampage searching every room in their house hoping to find at least a table cloth that he could use in place of his clothes since his parents didn't care about his existence.

He somehow ended up in the prohibited small room which looked like a young child's bedroom but his parent never showed this room to him; with him being their only child.

Hoseok finds clothes meant for a 12-15 years old male child assuming they were bought by his parents for him and took them out because he believes they are for him and started wearing them since then. He has never received any other clothes apart from those all his life. He thought that the size wear big because his parent are hoping he would grow up to fit into them. This was the first time that he felt his parent actually cared for him and so he loved those clothes and never wanted to depart from them even if they were torn, worn out or dirty Hoseok would still love and wear them no matter what.

His parent noticed that Hoseok entered the prohibited room and took out those clothes. At first they wanted to scold him but when his mother secretly found Hoseok adoring those clothes she did not say anything and ran to her room bawling in tears. Hoseok's father joined her in their bedroom and tries to console her. This is something Hoseok did not see happening.

Jimin and Hoseok continued to develop their friendship for the past year and love blossomed between them eventually.

They go everywhere as in around the compound of Jimin's house together as if joined by the hips.

Jimin's parents loved Hoseok as if he was their real son. Hoseok grew to love Jimin and his family and was very happy to have found a place where he was shown love and affection from everyone.

However, everything will soon change when Hoseok turns to the age of 13 in a few weeks' time so for now Hoseok is 12 and Jimin is also 12 the perfect age to be used as a sacrifice for the town's happiness.
