Exactly 8 years later...

Jimin is in the middle of the exact same re-occurring arguments with his sister about telling him the whereabouts of their old town because for some weird reason he hasn't been able to locate the town on any map or the internet and it's been 8 years now since he left his hometown in a hurry that night.

He couldn't understand why his sister and uncle have kept refusing him every time he said he wanted to return.

He had promised his Hobi whom he hadn't forgotten about once, that he will return immediately after the surgery. He had found out later that his mother had lied to him about him being gravely ill and being on the brink of death and in the need of a life threatening surgery. However in truth, Jimin was only suffering a fever due to the cold from playing outside with Hoseok too much while failing to wear warmer clothes.

He was really mad and immediately wanted to return back home once he heard this information but he was too young at that time and knew nothing of his new surroundings and therefore was at the mercy of his uncle and big sister.

After sometime passed, Jimin started to enjoy himself in his new appealing environment and no longer fought to return back home making new friends but of course nobody was or ever able to take the place of his Hobi hyung.

He thought he should learn many new things so he could later introduce them to his Hobi-hyung when he returns and they have been apart for far too long. Jimin deeply misses Hoseok.

He sometimes has these scary nightmares about his Hobi-hyung and wakes up drenched in his sweat struggling and heavily breathing.

Often times, Jimin has those nightmares of Hoseok covered in blood moving like a zombie calling his name searching for Jimin in the dark and refusing to fall unconscious until he finds him. And when a small limp slender hand finally lands on top of Jimin's shoulder and he turns to look behind him. Jimin would come face to face with a red stained almost skeleton like hollow appearance of a really scary still young Hoseok (the same age from the last he saw of Him) sobbing blood tears from an empty whole in place of his eyes while curled up in awful bruised tattered dirty clothes.

Hoseok being blind and missing both his eyeballs and not knowing Jimin is right in front of him would start trembling trying to protect himself with his badly bruised arms as if cold and freezing then quietly mumbling in pouring tears and repeatedly saying,

''Why? Why? Why haven't you come back yet? I am still waiting for you Jiminie. Please don't abandon me too. It hurts Jiminie I am in a lot of pain please help me please (He sobs a cry). I really need you Jiminie please it hurts make it stop I am begging you. It's lonely stuck here all by myself and I am scared. I-I am afraid p-please, please Jiminie..... '' Hoseok takes sharp rapid inhales in total fright and appearing a little bit more on alert.

''NO NONONONONONO... PLEASE GO AWAY!!'' Hoseok Sobs even more loudly screaming at the same time trembling violently while cowering more into himself making him appear much much smaller into almost a size of a golf ball completely worn out.

His frantic begging and heart wrenching pleading only makes Jimin's heart breaks every time while force to watch Hoseok helplessly in the center of splattered blood evident of brutal beatings that Hoseok probably suffered from.

Hoseok frantically covers both his ears, clutching them shut with his pale dirty bloody long nailed fingers.

'' Huff huff huff.... I-I can hear them approaching... (He slowly begins to hyperventilate) Th-they are c-c-coming b-back f-for m-me. NNO! P-PLEASE! PLEASE I BEG YOU STOP! NO NOT AGAIN I DON'T WANT IT PLEASE NO MORE! JIMINAH PLEASE COME HELP ME like you did before please it hurts Jiminieee... I want to see you. I-I just really miss you. I-I want to see JIMINIE I want to SEE...'' Hoseok would say and cry on repeatedly.

The ghostly Hoseok would then screech a sickening cry and scream clutching his chest and in the last minute he blows up like a bomb, raining blood down non-stop pouring all over the shocked paralyzed Jimin. This is often the result each time Jimin slowly or sometimes rushes to attempt to console the fragile and broken blind Hoseok whose arms reaches out and vaguely stretches out for Jimin or maybe just anyone to help him.

And even while that same arm is reaching towards the wrong directions from where Jimin is actually standing because Hoseok is blind, the boy has no eyeballs, and is unable to tell whether if Jimin is even present in the room with him, let alone being able to pinpoint exactly where Jimin is standing.

Jimin often is either stood just right next to Hoseok by his left or right sides from him, or other times he is behind Hoseok, or just in front of him but always there is a few feet distance between them that never shrinks even when Jimin is clearly running to get to Hoseok.

Yet, Jimin still was never able to grab hold to Hoseok's skinny desperate reaching arms never ever getting to be in a close enough distance to touch Hoseok in time before it is already too late for Jimin to save his beloved innocent Hobi.

At times it feels like no matter how much speed, energy or force Jimin puts into running forward towards getting closer to Hoseok the distance between them always remain the same; Unchanging.

Jimin would wake up screaming his head off calling Hoseok's name. Shivering each time he dreams of Hoseok's broken appearance emerging from the dark into the light for him to see. But as for Hoseok, he would forever tread alone in torn bare foot still lost in the dark as he had no eyes; Trapped in endless darkness never even able to tell the difference between dark and light.

This scares, worries, terrifies and pains Jimin to the point that he would wake up and immediately he would desperately bolt out of bed heaving wailing with his head buried deep inside his toilet bowl. His stomach clenching so tightly gnawing strongly at the inside painfully so that Jimin couldn't get upright and so resulting into crawling back to his bedroom on shaky hands and knees and choking on air.

Jimin fervently rummage through his desk beside his bed wildly after his stomach aches died down a little that he can handle and he takes out the pills his doctor prescribed for his anxiety and nightmares that always left him struggling to breathe or keep down his intense heartbeat.

He would then look for the letters and the lime green woolen beanie that he saw Hoseok wearing on their first meeting when they were around the ages of 5 and 6. He is only able to catch his breath after finding those items.

'' Huff...huff...huff....huff'',

Jimin heavily inhales and exhales clinging tightly to the green woolen beanie hat that use to belong to Hoseok and still carries Hoseok's scent with it because Jimin refused to have it wash and losing his Hobi's unique sweet scent which always help to calm Jimin down every time he inhales it after experiencing a strong negative emotions that makes his heart beats increase to an unhealthy speed.

Jimin was told the letter was written by Hoseok himself and the hat was also his gift to cheer him up so he doesn't have to return so quickly for him.

And so whenever he had those dreams or nightmares of Hoseok asking him why he hadn't come back yet for him, feeling guilty, he would read the letter from Hoseok word to word memorizing the entire essay.

The suppose letter from his Hobi basically is telling Jimin to relax and take his time over at the new city and not to worry about him too much.

Jimin then uses what the letter says and the meaning behind the hat gifted him to convincing himself that what the nightmares were showing him weren't real making Jimin feel all better again.

Eventually,

Jimin received many other letters that were apparently from Hoseok and supposedly written by him from the day Jimin became of the age where he started threatening to run away back to the very town they struggled to escape from for no reasons according to Jimin.

His threats ever since then, where no longer ignored because suddenly he is flooded with letters supposedly written from his Hobi.

In the letters, includes various stories of Hoseok sharing how life is progressing in their hometown.

One letter says how Jimin's other sisters and parents left behind at their hometown had taught Hoseok how to read and write and many other things.

Everything worked accordingly to Jimin's sister and uncle's plan to use those letters to buy more time to think of a better plan that will definitely put a stop to Jimin's threats to one day run away and finds his own way back to that evil hometown.

They secretly hope that the boy will give up on such thought.

Noticing how much Jimin still continues to call out his childhood friend ''HOSEOK OR HOBI'' even after all this years as his reason for wanting to go back to their hometown, Jimin's big sister realizes this significant point and she came up with a brilliant idea to make Jimin forget about his childhood friend or ever returning to that evil town forever. And so she came up with writing a particular letter.

The truth is, all those letters were actually written by her and never from Hobi. Of course she paid her friends little brother to write them for her so she doesn't get caught if she writes it herself. Only her new idea became also the one reason why Jimin started to question things.

Jimin started to question everything, especially those letters they said his Hobi wrote to him and became more determined to return to his old hometown to see his Hobi hyung to confirm the real truth.

This is because of the recent/last letter. The one Jimin's sister decided would be the last to put an end to Jimin's determination to return back to their hometown for the sake of his childhood friend. Plus she is finding it much harder to ignore the reply letters from Jimin to Hobi and look her brother in the eyes everyday while keeping such a big secret from him. Of course they told Jimin his reply letters might not reach Hobi but he can write them anyways if it will help make him feel better and so Jimin ignores that the letters from Hobi never answers his letters/questions and are more like an everyday dairy of Hoseok's activities and such.

It was until the letter started talking about Hoseok falling in love with one of Jimin's twin sister and Hoseok asking Jimin to forget him and move on with his life because so has he with one of Jimin's twin sister.

Hoseok said he is more than happy to be getting married and finally having his own family like he has always dreamed of.

Only Jimin was aware that Hoseok and him where declared lovers and had promised to wait for each other so they would be together forever. He knows full well that the two of them are GAY for each other therefore it's pretty odd hearing that Hoseok will soon be engaging to his sister, A FUCKIN FEMALE!!

HOSEOK CANNOT BE STRAIGHT JUST LIKE THAT CAN HE?

IS IT POSSIBLE WHAT THEY HAD BETWEEN THEM WAS JUST A CHILD's GAME, BASICALLY JUST AN EXPERIMENTATION FOR HOSEOK?

COULD HE HAVE EASILY FALLIN OUT OF LOVE WITH HIM JUST BECAUSE OF THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM?

WHICH IS IT? Jimin wondered and is determined to get some answers.

HE PLANS TO HEAR THE REAL TRUTH SOMEWAY SOMEHOW

Jimin always writes back his reply letters and hands the letter to his sister or uncle to post back to Hoseok each time YET NEVER ONCE did he get a proper reply back.

Does that mean all this time not even one of Jimin's reply letter reached Hoseok?

Then how come Hoseok's letters never fails to reach Jimin? Something doesn't quite add up.

Upon the letters he gets back from Hoseok, they felt strange.

Jimin's fears for Hoseok's sudden change of love no longer directed to him but his sister; the dread made him even more homesick and desperate to return to his hometown to persuade Hoseok otherwise. He doesn't care even if the one Hoseok is falling for is his own blood youngest sister.

Yet, the problem is finding his way back and hopefully in time to actually be able to convince Hoseok otherwise before he marries Jimin's sister oh and by the way Jimin isn't invited to the so called wedding although he is direct family of the soon to be bride.

WHAT SHOULD JIMIN DO NOW?

One thing is for sure all letters goes through either his big sister or his uncle, and one of them gotta have a clue how Hoseok's letter is always reaching their house. There has to be a clue hidden there (as in the destination Hobi's letter is coming from) and Jimin plans to at least start his secret investigation from there.

JIMIN HAS NO IDEA THE THINGS THAT AWAITS HIM IN THE DARKNESS. IF ONLY HE KNEW BEFORE HIS CURIOSITY AND OTHER THINGS MADE HIM GO INVESTIGATING THEN MAYBE HE WOULD'VE PREFERRED IGNORANCE.
