Continuing down memory lane ...

Hoseok's parents made a promise to themselves to never have any more child born in this town again only to be snatched away from them forever even if that child isn't a male they still would rather before not having conceived anymore children in the first place.

However with a Town such as this filled with greedy selfish old men deeply connected and bound to such disgusting rituals called tradition planned otherwise.

They knew that many visitors that get stuck and became aware of the true nature of their town either try to run away and fled but failed, commit suicide and waste their young life that could bring upon a new fruition of life for the benefit of the town; or pliantly just decide not to have any sexual intercourse which could lead to pregnancy.

Due to this, the children born in the town was drastically decreasing since they can't stay young forever can they?

Therefore they had to result themselves into drugging the young once to become horny unable to control themselves then locking them up in the room with their partners if they have one or if not they then just capture a stranger of the other opposite sex so they will sleep together in hopes that the females will become pregnant.

Just as well this was exactly what they did to Hoseok's parent which then brought upon the birth of Hoseok.

Their neighbor who took care of Hoseok even played a big part in the conceiving of the town's evil plan and had Hoseok's mother locked up once they found out she was pregnant. Even worse, she was carrying a male child.

Hoseok's mother was mostly drugged to never fully being awake during the entire time she was pregnant, tube fed and constantly kept on a tight watch until she delivered baby Hoseok.

Fearing that she might try to kill this new baby boy who might become 'the Savior' of their town (meaning sacrificial lamb), Hoseok was kept away and brought up by the old lady neighbor.

She told him and showed him who his biological parents are once Hoseok grew to understand these things and was able to communicate he was then allowed to go be with his parents.

Hoseok's parents were still guarded by that old lady neighbor. She would sneak into their house and throw away any food Hoseok's mother prepared for Hoseok fearing that Hoseok's parent might try to poison the child.

She would visit their house each time Hoseok isn't around and threaten and torment Hoseok's mother and then make Hoseok to only witness his mother at her weak vulnerable state so he would fear them thinking his parent don't love him or don't care for him.

The old lady neighbor grew too attach to Hoseok and manipulated his relationship with his biological parents.
