Back-story: Luke was born in a wealthy family who only cared about their wealth and their reputation, not caring about their son. Luke discovered some parts and uses them to invent a robot called Adina. One day, he took Adina to his school as a sibling prom date until a bully named Scott starts to tease Luke and even called Adina "thing" along with his friends and other peers and start beating her up. That causes her to unleash a giant ice spikes, freezing everyone in ice and accidentally killing them. Luke keeps Adina at home to prevent her from another incident to protect her from the townspeople. He suddenly got very sick and cannot be saved. He asks Adina to promise to protect those who cannot protect themselves before he took his last breath.
