The tournaments for the vacant Universal and Raw Women's Championships were finally slated to begin with the finals of both tourneys occurring at Summerslam. Under the given circumstances both championships had to be vacated under the cause of injury, with former champions Roman Reigns suffering a torn ACL and Ronda Rousey suffering a broken kneecap. The playoffs featured the very best on both sides with the likes of Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan and in the brackets of the Universal Championship it boasted Drew McIntyre, Trevion Butler, Seth Rollins, Elias and a returning Dean Ambrose after his horrific torn Triceps injury. Monday Night Raw would begin its road to the Biggest Event of the Summer in the desert city of Phoenix, Arizona at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. Trevion arrived in his rental 2015 Chevy Malibu in the arena parking lot. As he grabbed the bags that contained his ring gear, he bumped into the person that had been most on his mind since his fateful talk with Stephanie McMahon, one of the Chosen One's higher ups.

Mercedes: OOF!!

Trevion: Oh man I didn't see you there! Are you okay?

Mercedes: Yeah I'm fine; Did anyone tell you feel like a ton of bricks--

She looked at the very handsome man she bumped into. She blushed and quickly gathered her focus.

Mercedes: I'm sorry but have we met before?

Trevion: No but I could change that after Raw goes off air.

Mercedes(smiling): Well you get to the point don't you?

Trevion: I've been told, the name's Trevion--

Mercedes: Wait Trevion? As in former NXT Champion and NXT Breakout Star Trevion Butler?? That Trevion Butler?!?

Trevion: Yeah I'm that Trevion Butler; I didn't know the Sasha Banks was a fan of "The Man of Destiny".

Mercedes: When you're deemed the future of WWE, you're bound to attract a couple of fans.

Trevion: But you're Sasha Freaking Banks, Former NXT Women's Champion, Four Time Raw Women's Champion and you were ranked Number two out of 50 women in 2016. If anybody should be a fan of the other, it should be me.

Mercedes: Stop you're gonna make me blush.

Trevion: Haha it's one of my many skills Mercedes; But I'm sure Stephanie told you of her plans for the both of us.

Mercedes: Yeah something on the lines of establishing us as some sort of babyface couple on Monday Night Raw.

Trevion: Exactly but are you sure you want to go through with this? I mean you're still going over that mess with Mikaze.

Mercedes: So Stephanie told you huh?

Trevion now feeling guilty admitted what Stephanie told him.

Trevion: Only about your divorce; I'm sorry about what happened with that bum he doesn't deserve you. I've been exactly where you're at now in terms of having a broken heart but that doesn't mean you should suffer. How about we go out and have a couple of steaks and beers after Raw is over?

Mercedes: Are you asking me on a date?

It was now the 21-year old's turn to blush.

Trevion: I mean it doesn't have to be one if you don't--- I mean I want to take you out---

Mercedes just giggled and smiled.

Mercedes: Relax sweetheart I'm just messing with you I'd love to explore the Valley of the Sun with you. Provided you're driving of course.

Trevion: Well duh, anything for the Legit Boss!

Mercedes: Great see you there!

She kisses the Houston native on his cheek as she proceeded to the arena's security measures.

Trevion: What just happened?

Trevion just processed something he never thought he'd tell himself; he had a date with the Sasha Banks after work. He smiled to himself as he proceeded towards to the security measures.

Monday Night Raw had hit the airwaves and televisions around the world as Michael Cole began to speak.

Michael Cole: The road to Summerslam begins here in the desert!!; Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Monday Night Raw in Phoenix, Arizona. Along with Corey Graves and Johnathan Coachman, I'm Michael Cole.

Sky's the Limit plays to the thunderous ovation of the Phoenix crowd as Sasha does her signature Boss dance.

Michael: And it's BOSS TIME!!

DING! DING! DING!

Jojo: The following contest is a Raw Women's Championship Semifinal Tournament match scheduled for one-fall! Introducing first from Boston Massachusetts, Sasha Banks!

Cole: And for the four time women's champion Sasha Banks, an opportunity to advance through her side of the bracket of this tournament and the right to advance into the fatal four way match for the vacant championship at Summerslam, but tonight she faces a stern challenge in the Riott Squad leader Ruby Riott.

Coach: But that's what we love about the Boss; through hell, fire and brimstone, Sasha Banks has proven she can fight against insurmountable odds, I wouldn't be surprised if she did it again tonight.

Corey: Let's just call it like it is, Sasha wanted to open the show because she wants the spotlight on her like only a glory-hog.

Cole: What is your deal with Sasha, Corey?

Corey: I have no grudge with the Boss, I just call it like I see it.

We Riott plays to the boos of as the Riott Squad comes out into the arena.

Jojo: And her opponent accompanied Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, Riott Squad member Ruby Riott!

Corey: As the namesake of the Riott Squad makes her way to the ring, I wouldn't be surprised if Ruby Riott runs the table here tonight.

Cole: You're absolutely right Corey, Ruby is definitely a future women's champion in the making and I wouldn't be surprised if she were to perhaps pull an upset on one of WWE's Four Horsewomen.

The match ended with Sasha tapping out Ruby in a spectacular barnburner of a match with the Bank Statement and as planned Liv and Sarah intercepted Mercedes's celebration and attacked her with Ruby joining in on the beat-down of the beloved babyface. It was then as Ruby prepared to grab a steel with callous intentions to wrap it around the Boss's neck when the lights went out and the Titan-Tron spelled out "Riott Squad... Meet Your Destiny" as Trevion came racing out and the trio of heels took off as the Texas Devil stared them up the ramp and then made his way to Mercedes.

Trevion: Are you alright?

Mercedes: My ankle, I don't think I can stand on it.

Trevion: I'm gonna carry you come on.

Mercedes placed her hands on Trevion's neck as he carried her out of the ring.

Trainers office:

Trainer: Trevion, to what do I owe the pleasure my guy?

Trevion: It's Mercedes actually she said she couldn't stand on her right ankle and she feared she may have broke a bone.

Trainer: Well set her up on the table and let me get some x-rays.

After about 40 minutes, the doctor returned with the results.

Trainer: Well Mercedes the x-rays came back negative there's no extensive damage in your ankle; at the very most you've suffered a minor sprain. Just no strenuous activity but you can walk on it. However I do recommend you have a traveling buddy.

Trevion: I can help her she's already my road buddy for the night.

Mercedes cracked a small smile.

Trainer: Well now that's settled so you may leave you guys.

Mercedes and Trevion: Thanks Terrence!

Mercedes: So what's up with you tonight? Whose ass do you have to kick tonight?

Trevion: I'm main eventing with Kevin tonight; by the way nice match with Doris you really gave me something to work with in terms of having to turn this place upside down.

Mercedes: And you provided a nice touch with the knight in shining armor routine. The fans really bought the romance angle.

Trevion: Thanks but I got a match to win; you're more than welcome to watch with your gals while I advance in the tournament.

DURING TREVION'S MATCH....

The ladies of Monday Night Raw had been watching the Kevin Owens and Trevion Butler but no one had been more glued to the screen than Mercedes.

Gionna: Mercedes you okay there?

Mercedes: Huh yeah I'm fine why wouldn't I be?

Pamela: Because you've been awfully looking at Trevion the longest.

Mercedes: I have no idea what you're talking Pam.

Victoria: You're not fooling us; Trevion is the sexiest man on Monday Night Raw and you're crushing on him badly.

They winced as Trevion suffered Owens' signature KO Cannonball.

Alexis: Look we're not faulting ; in fact if I weren't with Matt, I'd definitely give Tre the time of day.

Pamela: I feel the same way Lexi, He's a gym rat, he and Seth love their Cross-Fit and he's only 21? Mercedes, he's a former college basketball star. You'd be hard pressed not to at least talk to him.

Mercedes: That's the thing; I'm falling for him quickly and he actually invited me out on a date. He's a bold guy I'll give him that.

Alexis: HE DID? THIS IS ALL YOU MERCEDES-BENZ!!!

The Goddess shook her former real life rival turned friend as she said every word.

Mercedes: That's the thing I don't want him to know I have a crush on him this quickly into our working relationship.

Gionna: Why not; the guy is an open book, and have you not seen his 8-pack.

Gionna went into specific detail about Trevion's god-like body before she said something embarrassing about her boy best friend. Soon enough Trevion won delivering a name-sake Phoenix splash and a curb stomp to seal the deal and move on into the Universal Championship tournament and face his next opponent Bobby Lashley the next week. As Raw went off the air, Trevion soon showered and changed into his street clothes he had been face-timing his best friend from SmackDown Live, Brandon Matthews.

Brandon: So how's Phoenix treating their next Universal Champion?

Trevion: Dude it was super dope, the Valley of the Rising Sun is truly a hardcore city when it comes to WWE; but enough about me how're things with you and Mandy going?

Brandon: Amazing man, not only is she smoking hot, she's a total sweetheart; In fact I'm introducing to the family this Memorial Day weekend. What about you, how's your love life going?

Trevion: Would you believe me in my first meeting with her that I got a date with Mercedes?

Brandon: Well hang me by the stomach and beat me like a piñata, YOU do move fast! Isn't she going through that divorce with what's-his-name?

Trevion: Mikaze, I think? But anyway here she comes man I'll talk you later bro. Tell Amanda I said hey.

Brandon: Roger that buddy, go get yo girl tiger!!

They hang up as the raven-haired beauty approached.

Sasha: You clean up well, Trevion.

Trevion: You're one to talk beautiful, you look stunning as always.

Sasha: Thank you ready to get your steak on?

Trevion: Or give the Boss the greatest night of her life, absolutely!!
