Valdís, as requested by her father Steve Rogers, was sent to public high school in order to be occupied while she wasn't needed for any major mission with the Avengers. In the beginning, Val was quite hopeful to be called by the Avengers to assimilate and fight for justice, unlike she had been doing before when she was a HYDRA prisoner. However, as time passed, the Avengers never seemed to call Valdís when they were out battling. Valdís grew weary and turned her focuses from being eager to fight to her schoolwork.

Valdís, joined many school activities such as Academic Decathlon, Theatre, Band, etc. etc. Valdís was an amazing student. Val spent about two years in high school, and almost seemed to forget that she was a superhero with unstoppable powers.

Valdís had a twin sister, Liviana, who wasn't sent to attend high school alongside Valdís. After the fight against Ultron in Sokovia, she had never been the same. She was depressive and constantly sad. Steve deemed it best to not force her into a social setting and instead keep her nearby at the Avenger's building.

The Midtown School of Science and Technology was a school full of nerds. Tony Stark had highly recommended it to Steve when he was choosing a high school to send his daughter to. Valdís loved the school and she loved the students. Going to high school was like going to a whole other universe for her. She had never seen so many people that looked about her age at once before.

Valdís sat down in the gym and began to perform her daily required exercises. She, being enhanced and all, didn't even break a sweat. Once she was done, she sat on the bleachers and began to analyze the faces of her peers.

Her close friend, Liz Toomes, quickly joined her after a few minutes. "Whatcha looking at?" Liz asked, nosily.

"Nothing in particular." Valdís lied through her teeth.

Liz hummed in suspicion. "I know you like someone, Stinson." Liz narrowed her eyes at her friend.

Valdís chuckled. "Yeah, whatever."

"You know, you should totally throw a killer party at your apartment since your dad is always gone on business." Liz suggested.

Valdís shrugged, knowing that her father was never absent because of casual business, it was because he was an Avenger and wanted to keep her out of the messy life of constantly battling. "I'll just throw my own party." Liz huffed, disappointed that her friend wasn't all that enthusiastic to throw her own party.

Liz then lit up. "You should invite your sister! Li—Liviana? Yeah, her! Didn't she get accepted early to MIT?" Liz reminded Valdís of yet another lie she had told to conceal her real life.

Valdís shook her head vehemently. "That's not a good idea. She's busy." Valdís sighed. Liviana, still to that very day, sat depressively in the Avenger's building, doing nothing but sopping.

Liz pouted. "You're no fun." She mentioned.

Valdís rolled her eyes. "I'll go to your party." Valdís shrugged.

Liz nodded. "Alright, Stinson... You know, I'll never get over how weird it is that you have the same last name as that superhero. What was her name again? Chronos!" Liz noted.

"Yeah... it's almost as if I were related to her or something." Valdís' words were dosed in sarcasm, but poor Liz didn't understand and continued to innocently believe that it was all just a coincidence.
